***Third person POV***

"Hello, My name is Ayana Mizuki! Pleased to meet you! I hope we get along well!" Ayana said as she bowed in front of the class. She had just introduced herself to her new classmates at True Cross Academy. There were also whispers engulfing the room.

"Hey you see her eyes?" A girl whispered near the back of the class.

"Yeah", a girl beside her replied,"you think they're contacts?"

"Maybe. But why purple? That's kind of strange..."

Rin was overhearing these kinds of conversations around the class, and he was NOT happy about that. He was about to tell those people off until the teacher said,

"Alright class! Settle down! Mizuki-San, you may take a seat in an empty desk."

Ayana nodded her head to the teacher, then made her way to the empty desk at the back of the class. She was getting more and more nervous as more and more eyes landed on her as she walked past everyone. But she tried her best not to make eye contact with anyone. Because she thought if she did; she'd end up passing out with anxiety. Ayana had never been so close to so many people near her age like this in a VERY long time. And she had forgotten how to handle it.

Ayana then made it to her seat. She put the bag she was holding down, beside her desk; then sat down. People had turned back around, as the teacher had begun her lesson.

Then, Ayana looked around at the class as all their backs were now facing her to listen to the teachers words. Except for one of course.

Rin.

He was sitting at the side of the class, around the middle. And he was intently watching Ayana. With a worried face to make sure she was okay.

Ayana softly smiled at Rin and nodded her head to him; reassuring him that she was alright.

This relaxed Rin, so he turned his head around, then stretched his arms along his desk; resting his head down on the desk.

Eventually, Rin ended up sleeping like he normally does. And this made the teacher angry. She walked over to his desk and slammed her book on Rin's desk.

"Sukiyaki!"

Rin yelled as he jolted awake. This caused giggles and chuckles to engulf the room. Ayana also was softly chuckling at Rin's love for food. Especially Sukiyaki.

Rin and Ayana went class to class together, and in each one; Ayana got a bunch of questions about her eyes, and why she had joined the school in the middle of the school year.

Mephisto had told her to just say her family moved because they had gotten another job here. And her eyes? Well they're contacts. Purple eyes aren't very natural, so that was really the best excuse they could give.

Since it was now the end of the school day, Rin and Ayana were now on their way to cram school.

"So, how'd you think of your first day, Ayana?" Rin asked with a toothy grin.

"Better than I thought it'd be!" Ayana happily replied,

"Probably because I was there right?" Rin said with a smug grin. This made Ayana chuckle, then pat his back,

"Sure you tell yourself that."

"But it's true! Isn't it?" Ayana smiled, thinking about Rin's statement,

"Yeah"

Rin stopped at a door then pulled out a key from his pocket. He put the key in the lock, then turned it and opened the door. Ayana walked in, and saw a large corridor, with colourful tiles all around.

"Woah! This is amazing! It's huge!" Ayana yelled as her voice echoed down the hall, while she was spinning in circles- admiring the area.

"Hehe, exactly my reaction when I first came here." Rin said to himself as he chuckled.

"Well, what do you expect? This really is incredible!" Ayana said as she turned to Rin.

Rin chucked again, then walked past Ayana with his hands in his pockets.

"C'mon, I'll show you where the class is."

Ayana then giggled and said as she caught up with Rin,"look at you being so mature now"

This made Rin's face go red, and quickly turn his face away.

"It's not that big a deal," Rin mumbled.

"Hehe" Ayana gave Rin a closed eye smile.

"Here we are!" Rin said as he stopped in front of the door. The door that led to the cram school's classroom. Ayana took at deep breath.

Rin noticed Ayana's agitated expression, so to calm her down he slapped her back which made her tail start up and she slightly jumped on the spot.

"What was that for Rin!?" Ayana glared,

"You'll be fine!" Rin smiled, "you know everyone here anyway"

This caused Ayana to become confused,"yeah, I know Shiemi and everyone will be here," said Ayana, "but aren't there others too?"

Rin shook his head and replied, "nope!"

"I see..." Then Ayana took another deep breath,"alright then... Let's go!"

Rin gave her a toothy grin and slammed the door open, then yelled, "we're here!"

Rin walked in and Ayana came behind.

Yukio was standing behind a desk at the front, writing on the blackboard. And there were six students sitting at their seats, about all of them looking straight at Ayana. But she recognized most of them.

Shiemi was in the front. Izumo sat near the door. In the far corner was Bon, Shima and Miwa. But there was one person that Ayana didn't recognize.

It was a boy with blond hair, holding a pink puppet in his hand and sitting at the back of the room. He paid no attention though.

"Who's he?" Ayana thought,"he looks kinda suspicious..."

"WHAT?!!?!?!!"

Ayana's thoughts were interrupted by Bon's yelling as he rapidly stood from his chair; along with Miwa and Shima.

"When did they decide she's joining cram school?!" Bon yelled to no one in particular.

"About a week ago," Yukio answered,"and Rin. You're late."

"Huh I am?" Rin questioned.

"Wait, we're late?! How?!" Ayana exclaimed. She didn't think they were even close to being late! But then again, she had been just following Rin around. And he tends to be late often.

Yukio sighed, "you're both half an hour late. But since today is you're first day, Ayana-San, I'll leave it. But Rin. You should know when cram school starts, yet you got both yourself and Ayana-San late. So please make sure this doesn't happen again alright?"

Rin huffed, then trudged to his seat. "whatever" he mumbled, and sat down beside Shiemi.

"Anyway, Ayana-San, you may take a seat, and we'll continue."

Ayana walked over to the seat behind Rin, and Yukio continued his lesson. Surprisingly, Ayana knew exactly what he was talking about. It was basically everything she already knew about demons.

"Demonology might be easier than I thought," Ayana thought.

The bell rang and that told that class was now finished. Everyone began to pack their bags and Rin turned in his seat to Ayana. His bangs pinned back and giving her his toothy grin.

"So you ready to head back to the dorm?" He asked her. But before Ayana could say anything, Yukio came with a sheet of paper in his hand and gave it to Ayana.

"What's this?" Ayana asked.

"It's just a form you need to fill out, and you'll need to choose the type of meister you want to be." Yukio replied,

"Meister?"

"Yes. A Meister is one of the qualifications you will need to become an exorcist. At least one title is required to become one."

"A title?"

"There are 5 titles you can choose from. Aria, Tamer, Doctor, Dragoon and Knight."

"I see.."

Then Rin exclaimed,"Yep! I'm a Knight!" He pointed at his sheathed sword and said, "a Knight uses swords! You'd probably be one too!"

"Oh!" Ayana said, "yeah, I'm probably going to be a knight. But what are the other ones?"

Bon, Miwa and Shima had now walked to the table Ayana was sitting at, and helped explain the different types of meisters. Also, what everyone else is aiming to be. Like Miwa and Shima wanting to be Aria's; Bon being an Aria and a dragoon. Also Yukio being a dragoon and Doctor; and Sheimi and Izumo being Tamers.

"Wow" was all Ayana had to say. Then Yukio said,

"Well I'm sure you'll be fine Ayana-San. But you probably will also need to try summoning a demon. Just to see if you could also be a possible tamer. You will be learning how to recite holy scriptures as well."

"Okay..." Then Ayana slightly turned her head seeing the boy with the puppet still sitting in his chair.

"You okay Ayana?" Rin asked.

"Umm.... Who's that?" Ayana asked while gesturing to the person she didn't know.

"Oh him? That's Takara." Rin replied.

"Yeah. But I still don't understand why he's here. He barely does anything!" Bon said.

Ayana stayed silent and thought for a moment. Then she stood up from her chair and walked toward where Takara was sitting.

"Ayana?" Rin questioned, but Ayana continued to make her way toward Takara until she was right in front of his desk.

"Excuse me." Ayana blankly said, but Takara remained silent.

"..."

"..."

Ayana continued to silently stare at Takara, but he remained unfazed.

Everyone else looked confusedly at the two. No one had a clue what was going on.

"Uhh..." Rin really wanted to know what Ayana was trying to do, "hey, what are-"

But he was cut off by the high pitched voice of Takara's puppet,

"Themoonthatcanbeseenmonthtomonthisbig,butthemoonthatcanbeseenisthemonthsmoon"

"Huh?!"everyone said. But Ayana remained silent. Blankly staring at the person in front of her. The puppet continued to talk,

"Themelonsellercametosellmelons, hismelonsoldandsoldmelonsthenheleft,youcouldhearhisvoiceashewasleaving"

"..."

"Thecherryblossomsbloomingonthemountainwherecherryblossomsbloom,arebloomingwithcherryblossoms,andthecherryblossomsarealsofalling"

"..."

"Thecutwhiteblossomsattheshoreline,bythethickfog,bytheyuzufruit,arefivecoloured,they'recutbig,they'recutsmall,theylooknice,haveleaves,havestems,havegrasses,oldpeopleadmirethem,bythelilies,bytheropes,theycuttangerines,veryclearly,andthatisall!"

Ayana closed her eyes as the puppet continued to rapidly speak. She remained silent, then finally muttered,

"I see." At that, she turned around, walked to her desk, grabbed her bag and walked out the door without another word.

"Huh?! Ayana?!" Rin exclaimed as he ran out the door after her.

Then Takara's puppet was finally finishing,

"Howmanykyunscanakyunkyun!"

"What just happened?!" Shima yelled.
