***Ayana's POV***

I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock ringing. Yesterday, I spent the day getting settled and ready. I went out with Sheimi to buy some clothes and the necessary supply's that I need.

I'm staying in Rin and Yukio's dorm, just next door from their room. And this room is actually really cozy and homey. Well, since I've never really had a room like this in a while, it might just be my opinion. I love the bed too! It's actually really cozy and comfortable!

Today is my first day of school. I'm really really nervous right now. I haven't been to school in a while either. So this is really nerve racking for me. Rin said to just stick with him though. That made me feel better. We both even have the same class schedule! I'm really happy about that.

I walked out of my room and down the hall to a long sink, to brush my teeth. I was so tired though. I wish I could just stay in that warm, comfy bed... Well oh well.

After brushing my teeth, I walked back to my room and changed into my new uniform. Then I had to decide whether I'd wear the bow or tie. I decided to wear the tie, because the bow looked just TOO big.

I then headed downstairs and walked into the kitchen. Sitting at the table I saw Yukio reading a book as he ate his breakfast.

"Morning" I said as i walked to the table.

"Good morning, Ayana-San" Yukio said as he looked up at me from his book.

I sat in one of the chairs in front of Yukio, and saw a tray that contained a slice of bread, bacon and eggs.

"Thank you for the breakfast Ukobach!" I called inside the kitchen, and then saw Ukobach hop on the counter. He smiled at me and was blushing. I had met Ukobach yesterday. He seems to be Mephisto's familiar, and is our personal cook. Ukobach told me that he's perfectly happy if people enjoy his food, and his food really is amazing! I've never tasted food like his before! As I ate my breakfast, something occurred to me.

"Hey, Yukio? Where's Rin?"

Beside me was an empty chair but a uneaten breakfast was still waiting there. Yukio then sighed as he said,

"Still sleeping. I've never been able to wake him up. So he always ends up being late."

"Hmm", I had just then finished eating, so I got up and placed my empty tray on the counter and walked back to the table Yukio was sitting at,

"Maybe I could try waking him up?" I said, then Yukio replied,

"Be my guest. Oh and you know where to go for your classes right?"

"Yeah, I looked at them yesterday"

"Alright, so just make sure you make it to class on time alright?"

"Yep"

At that, I turned and walked out the door and made my way to Rin and Yukio's room.

I had just made it to Rin and Yukio's room. My tail flickered back and forth happily as I opened the door and closed it behind me.

I looked to my left and saw Rin soundly sleeping in his bed. I pouted at this.

"Man now I wanna go back to sleep too..." I muttered.

Then, I noticed Kuro sitting on Rin's chest and poking Rin's cheek with his paw.

"Rin... Rin! It's time to wake up!" Kuro said, but all he got as a reply was a groan, then Rin stirred in his sleep so he was now sleeping on his stomach. This also caused Kuro to fall off, then glare at Rin, after he got up.

I giggled at this sight, then said, "hey Kuro, need some help?"

Kuro turned to look at me and then he beamed "yes please!"

I then walked over to Rin and plopped on the side of his bed so I was now sitting. I had begun poking Rin's cheek and then said,

"Hey Rin! It's time to wake up! We have school!"

Rin just groaned again and turned his head the opposite direction. I puffed up my cheeks at this. Rin's ignoring me?! How rude!

"Rinnnnn you gonna wake up?"

No reply.

"Come on Rin, we gotta go!"

Nothing.

"No wonder Yukio gave up on waking you up." I muttered to myself. I let out an exaggerated sigh, then got up and turned to look at him. He showed no sign of him getting up. "Gosh."

I ended up flopping on the bed beside Rin. How much time do I have? I looked at Rin's clock on his nightstand and saw it was 7:45. We need to be at school by 8:30, so I guess we have some time. But I really should get Rin to get up.

I turned my head to look at Rin and noticed that he was sleeping quite stiff. I was slightly confused by this, so I then turn around so I was now on my stomach. Then I started to poke his arm.

He stiffened some more and I noticed that his tail was straightening, and he kind of moved his arm away from me.

"Hmm?" I was confused. What's up with him? And can't he just make this easier for me and wake up already?!

Then I had finally decided. Time to go extreme.

I got off the bed and and looked at Rin one more time.

"Okay Rin. If you don't get up now, I'm gonna have to wake you up by force"

I paused and waited to see if Rin would wake up, but he didn't. So I sighed and said,

"Alright, then you leave me no choice."

I sprinted for Rin's bed and then jumped right on Rin's back; kneeing him right in the spine.

"UWAAAAA!!!!!!!!" Rin yelled and started awake.

Rin turned his head to look at me since I was still sitting on his back.

"What was that for, Ayana?!" Rin glared, then I huffed and replied,

"You wouldn't wake up. And I gave you plenty of chances to do so, but you didn't take the opportunity."

"Hmmmm?" Rin continued to glare at me, and I also noticed his cheeks were slightly tinted pink. But I ignored this and said,

"Why are you glaring?!"

"That really hurt y'know" Rin mumbled. "I thought you'd never hurt me."

I raised a brow at him,"Rin that didn't hurt that much y'know."

"How would you know?"

"I just do... And plus," I turned around and grabbed Rin's tail and gave it a pull which made Rin Yelp. "That probably hurt more."

Rin had face planted into his pillow and I heard him groan. Then I said, "well anyway Rin. We gotta go to school, so get ready okay? We got like 40 minutes."

Then, I got off of Rin and then off the bed, I was about to walk out the door, until I heard Rin running towards me; but before I could turn around, I felt my tail get pulled back, along with me. This made me Yelp. That really did hurt!

As I was pulled back, I felt my back hit something; which I'm assuming was Rin, and we had both fallen back to the ground.

Rin was holding me to the ground by keeping his arms wrapped around me from behind me.

"What was that for Rin?!" I glared at him and tried to turn my head to look at him, but he just held me tighter and rested his head on my shoulder.

We ended up staying like that in silence.

I could feel my face heat up slightly, but I pushed that aside, because I knew something was wrong. I've never seen Rin act like this before.

"Rin?.... Are you alright?"

"Y'know... I had a dream..."

"No really?" I joked in a sarcastic tone.

"Ah right... We all dream... Haha"

I still knew something was bothering him so I asked in a soft tone, "what was the dream about?"

Rin stayed silent for a moment, then said, "I... Was walking somewhere... And I was looking for you... But I couldn't find you anywhere... You were gone... Then I found you... But... You had forgotten about me... And... And..."

"Rin." I stopped him, and I pried his arms opened, so he had to let go of me. Then I turned around to look at him with a serious expression. Our faces were surprisingly really close to each other. But then I asked, "is that what you're afraid of Rin? Me forgetting about you?"

Rin looked at me wide-eyed, then averted his eyes. That gave me my answer. I sighed, then began to chuckle. I saw Rin raise a brow at me. Probably thinking I was crazy. But then I said as I lightly punched his arm, "Rin, you're such an idiot!"

"Huh? What are you-"

"I should be the one with the fear of being forgotten... It's already happened to me before."

I could tell Rin was shocked by my statement, but I really didn't want to look at him. It was true though. I've been forgotten before. Seven years to be exact. And it sucked. Really.

"Ayana..." I heard Rin mumble, but I just shook my head and said,

"Ah sorry, forget what I said. We should start to get ready to go anyway."

I was starting to get up, but I was pulled by the wrist back to the floor again. I then looked at Rin, and he had a very sad expression. He then said,

"I'm sorry Ayana... I... Wasn't even thinking about how you could have been feeling... So you're really afraid of that too?"

I let out a dark laugh, "course I'd be. Anyone would if they were in my shoes."

"True."

The room was quiet. Until Rin caught my attention by saying,

"Ayana", his grip on my wrist tightened as I then looked up at him questionably. He then continued, "I promise... I'll never forget you. Never! So you don't need to be worried okay?" He gave me his signature toothy grin.

I was kind of shocked by this, but my face softened, and I said,"and you don't need to worry either, alright Rin? I promise you that I'll never forget about you either. I'll make sure of it!"

I gave him a thumbs up with my free hand, and Rin smiled at me. Then I got up again and tugged my hand that he was still holding to give him the queue to let go, so he did. I smiled at him, then said,

"Alright, so now you better get ready! We need to get to school!"

Rin smiled back at me and replied,

"Kay"

Hey guys! So it's been a while... Sorry bout that. It was just that time of Exams for me...>.< but now exams are finished, so I can hopefully update more often again! \(^.^)/

Because maybe in a few months, I may consider changing it back to my old cover. I probably might ask again when that time comes though. But let me know what you think! Thanks!
