***Yukio's POV***

I had just finished eating and I was heading back to mine and Nii-san's dorm room. As I was walking I could hear Rin talking.

Who's he talking to? Maybe on the phone?

But occasionally I would hear him yell. What's up with him?

When I got to the door I immediately swung it open and said "Rin, why are you being so lou-"

But before I could finish... I also saw her...

Ayana-San...

Why is she here? Well more how did she get here?

"Nii-San... What is she doing here?" I asked my brother while keeping my eyes locked on Ayana-San.

"Uhh well I uh-" Ayana-San cut nii-San off

"I came to visit Rin" she blankly said

"How come?" I asked her

"Is there something wrong with visiting an old friend?"

We both had a dark aura around us, and I could tell Nii-San was getting nervous. Then he said

"Uhh you see Yukio... Ayana came this morning and-"

I cut him off"this morning?"

"Yeah... But she was really tired so I let her sleep here for the day."

"How come you didn't tell me she was here? Is that why you were acting so weird when I came?"

"Yeah sorry... When you came into the room, she was gone so I thought she left"

"And she didn't."

"Y-yeah"

It was silent for a while until Rin spoke "oh but Yukio! Ayana and I made a plan!"

"A plan?" I asked then he replied

"Yeah! Ayana agreed to come with us and answer our questions, and we're planning to get Mephisto to help us convince the Grigori to let Ayana live! Like how he helped me out! She could even become an exorcist!"

My eyes basically popped out of my face from the last part he said "Seriously?! An exorcist?! Are you crazy Rin?!"

"Why do you guys keep calling me crazy?! If I became an exorcist, she can too! She's not going to hurt anyone anymore!"

I calmed down a bit and glanced at Ayana. Then I murmured "I see"

Then Rin asked me "so... Are you going to help us out too?"

I wasn't too sure about this. I do believe that she was Rin's friend but... It's been seven years since then... And who knows how much this demon has changed since then... Then I replied

"... I don't know Rin... I'm not sure if we could trust her yet..." I looked over at Ayana-San, who was just calmly staring at me. Then Rin yelled

"What?! Why don't you trust her?! You believed she was my friend earlier!"

I pointed at Ayana-San and replied "I do believe you Rin. But it's been seven years, and who knows how much your friend has changed since then!"

Rin clenched his teeth and glared at me. He was about to say something until Ayana-San walked between him and I. She calmly looked at me as she told Rin

"It's okay Rin. I understand why Yukio has his doubts...." Then she spoke to me "I don't want to get in the way if you still don't trust me. So I'll go for now... Until you can entirely trust me." She softly smiled at me, then turned around to look at Rin.

"Wait, you're leaving?" He asked her and Ayana smiled at Rin and said

"For now" right after she said this she ran past Rin so fast you couldn't see her until she stopped by the window and the wind blew Rin's hair from her speed.

Ayana turned around one more time to look at Rin and I. She gave us a toothy grin then jumped out the window.

***Third person POV***(time skip)

It's been a week since Rin and Yukio had their encounter with Ayana at their dorm. They continued their days normally. The two decided not to tell anyone about what happened that day just yet. Since there wasn't anything important to tell.

"Alright class. Today we are going on another mission." Yukio told the exwires. Some of them groaned but most cheered.

"What demon are we going to be exorcising?" Izumo asked and Yukio replied

"There has been a wild Naberius that has been terrorizing villagers at a nearby village."

"A Naberius? Aww man I don't like those..." Shima shivered

"Well we defeated one of those before so we'll be fine!" Rin reassured

Then Bon said "Okumura, didn't you listen?! Sensei just said that this is a wild Naberius!"

"So?" Rin blankly said

"So, the Naberius we defeated was Neuhaus-sensei's familiar! Wild one's are even worse!"

"Suguro's right" Yukio said as he pushed up his glasses "this one will be more dangerous so we will be staying together for this mission instead of splitting up... Oh and by the way, ms. Kirigakure will be joining us as well"

Right after he said that, the door slammed opened revealing Shura.

"That's right! I'm tagging along too!" Shura cheered as the exwires sweat dropped.

"Has she been waiting there this whole time?" Miwa murmured

"I think so, Konekomaru..." Shima replied

"Well anyway! Let's get going!" Shura said as she turned around

The group now arrived to the village. It was a small village with small houses, and not a lot people, but not to little either.

Yukio walked over to an old man with a small amount of grey hair on his head, who wore brown pants and a light blue shirt. He also had a cane as well.

"Hello mr. Hachiro!" Yukio exclaimed to the old man

"Hello Yukio-kun!" Hachiro replied "thank you so much for coming!"

"No problem! It's what we exorcists do."

Hachiro popped his head behind Yukio seeing the rest of the exwires and Shura"and who are these lovely fellows?"

"These are the exorcists in training." The exwires waved.

"and this is Shura Kirigakure, a upper first class exorcist."

"Yo" Shura greeted

"Ah thank you for coming, I'm Aiko Hachiro! As you probably know, our village has been getting attacked by that dreadful demon."

Everyone got serious.

"And we all are relying on you all to help us"

"Don't worry old man, we'll bring that demon down!" Rin said as he punched his fist into his palm

"So, do you know where the Naberius is?" Yukio asked

Hachiro nodded "yes, it always comes from those woods" he pointed to the forest on his right

"I see... Thank you, we'll get to it right now" Yukio said and everyone bowed and walked inside the forest.

The group had been walking in the woods for about half an hour.

"You'd think the demon would be closer..." Shima murmured

"Yeah it's weird... We should have found it by now..." Bon said

"Hmm my familiars should remember the scent of the Naberius right? Maybe they could find it."

"Good idea Kamiki-San!" Yukio said then Izumo said

"I humbly appeal to the goddess Inari. I entreat not to let my prayers be unfulfilled!"

A puff of smoke appeared and left were two Byakko's.

The two said "what may we do for you mistress?"

"Find the Naberius!"

The foxes started to sniff around the area, then they both stopped

"What's wrong?" Izumo asked

One of them replied"... It's right above us."

"Huh?!" Everyone exclaimed in unison

They all slowly looked up and shock was filled in their faces

A three-headed Naberius was looking right above them from a tree.
