***Rin's POV***

It's Saturday, so I don't have any classes today. So I can sleep!

I just slept until I felt like getting up.

I stirred a bit, then I slowly opened my eyes.

The first thing I saw was a face.

When I finally understood what was happening, I yelled "huh?!" Then quickly sat up and moved backwards on the bed until I hit the wall.

When I got a better look, I realized... It was Ayana?!

But she was sleeping. She was knelt down beside the bed, with her arms and head rested on the bed. Kuro was also there. He was sleeping on top of Ayana's head.

How did they know each other?

I just gazed at the two for awhile.
Kuro was sleeping like how he normally sleeps on my face. His mouth was wide opened, and some drool was coming out. One paw was hanging out in front of Ayana's face and the same with his foot.

I feel like he's gonna fall soon.

And Ayana was sound asleep. Her tail was curled up and rested on her lap and a light blush was tinted on her cheeks. She looked really cute. But it looked like she hadn't had proper sleep in ages.

My thoughts were disturbed when Kuro started to stir in his sleep.

And like I guessed... He fell off Ayana's head and landed on the bed.

It didn't seem like Kuro got hurt by this, it just woke him up.

"Hm?" Kuro groggily said. he rubbed his eyes with his paws, then stretched and yawned.

When he was done, his eyes trailed towards me

"Oh Rin. Your awake" Kuro tiredly said

"Uhh... Yeah, I am"

I averted my eyes, which cause Kuro to follow my eyes which landed on Ayana.

"You might be wondering why Ayana's here right?" Kuro asked me

"Yeah, but right now, I'm wondering how you know her." I said and he replied

"Well, while you were sleeping, she came to see you. I thought she was going to hurt you but she told me everything. I could tell she wasn't lying... And she sure knows you Rin!"

I had a confused look on my face, but pushed it aside because I remembered the first thing he said. "Wait she came here to see me?" I asked him.

"Yeah. It may have felt like a few weeks to you, Rin, but it's been seven years since you've seen each other. And Ayana had to live through that, hoping you were okay. And I can tell that she just wanted to come and see you really badly Rin."

My eyes saddened. It's true it hasn't felt that long to me, but to Ayana it may have felt like eternity to her.

Then another question popped into my mind

"Wait, Kuro! You said Ayana told you everything right?!"

"Yeah?"

"Do you know why Ayana's dad told her to kill the exorcists?!"

Before Kuro could even say anything, we both heard a soft noise. We looked at Ayana and saw she moving around.

She was starting to wake up.

I was freaking out. What do I do?! What do I say?! Ughhhh! But before I knew it, Ayana's eyes started to flutter open.

***Ayana's POV***

I started to open my eyes, and the first thing I saw, were... Two pairs of eyes, staring at me?!

I grabbed the two and flipped them. I heard the two go "HUH?!" Then when they hit the ground there was a loud crash.

I got in battle position, ready with my sword, but then I realized the two pairs of eyes were...

"Rin?! Kuro?!"

Their eyes were swirling around from the blow. Then Rin started to blink a few times. He slowly started to get up and said "ow ow ow!"

I looked around and realized I was still in Rin's room.

"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry Rin!" I ran over to him and helped him up. Once Rin regained balance, he said"ahh... Don't worry about it! I'm fine. But you sure got some strength don't cha!"

"Uhh yeah... That was kind of a reflex... I was surprised, since you and Kuro were just staring at me... Oh Kuro!" I looked at Kuro who was still on the now dented floor.

I pick him up and his eyes were still swirling"I'm so so sorry Kuro! Are you okay?"

"Uhh" Kuro blinked a few times then looked at me"oh! Yeah! I'm fine! Haha..."

Kuro, then jumped out of my arms and walked to the door. "Well... Since you're now awake, Rin! I'll let you talk to Ayana." Then he was out the door and gone.

I was now alone with Rin.

It was silent between the two of us... I didn't really know how to start the conversation...

But Rin then attempted to start it off "so uhh... How've you been?" This made me chuckle a bit.

""How've you been?" That's the best you could come up with? Hahaha!" I just couldn't hold in my laughter anymore. I ended up laughing and laughing.

"Hey! Don't laugh! I was trying to start a conversation!" Rin pouted

I looked at his face then I pointed at him and laughed even harder.

"Why are you laughing again?!"he whined

"Your face! Hahaha!"

"My face? What's wrong with my face?!"he put his hands on his face to see if there was anything on it.

"Hahaha! you still make that exact same pouty face! Hahaha! It's so cute!"I could feel tears forming from laughing so hard

"Cute?! How's it cute?!"

"It just is! Hahaha! Well, you always had a cute face."

I froze after saying this... Then my face went as red as a tomato. Rin's face went pink too.

But then he smirked at this. "You always found my face "cute"?"

"W-what?! N-no! I-I uhh well uhh... maybe I should get going!" I fast walked to the door, but Rin was already standing in front of it.

"Why you in such a hurry? You don't have to be somewhere, do you???"

"Uhh... Yeah! I do!"

"Where."

"Well uhh.... I need to go hunt for food! They'll all be gone if I don't go now!" I lied

Rin smirked"I could cook for you."

Oh no he didn't.

"Umm, it's fine! I'll just get it myself, I tried to get passed him but he still wouldn't let me.

"Oh no, I insist, I know you want to see how much I've improved."

Ugh! I wanna say yes so bad! But he's just going to keep teasing me on how I called him cute!

"No no it's fine I'm good! Haha" I glanced behind me and saw the opened window I came through. I looked back at Rin who also saw the window.

He probably thinks I'm going to try to jump out the window. Hmm I really don't want to leave right now either so... Why don't we change things up?

I sprinted towards the window, and Rin did as well. But instead of jumping out the window, I jumped up and landed behind Rin.

"Woah!"Rin was about to fall out the window but regained his balance.

I tapped his shoulder and said "tag! Your it!" Then I sprinted and turned left out of the room laughing.

"What?! You serious?!" I heard Rin yell "that's not even fair!"

I giggled a bit.

This brings back memories.
