Lucifer was an angel that got turned into a demon by Crypto, the goddess, herself. He was born from her own blood and became her favorite of the angels, she even selected him to become the successor god when she would die some day. When he was ejected from Ainu and banished to Rauco as a demon, he became the leader of the Rauco demons. He possesses Temporal Magic and once owned Spatial Magic as well, which he lost, however. His weapon is a black trident named Nightfall. He appears in all the Demons of Death parts except for Child of Destruction and plays part as a protagonist in the Highschool series.

Appearance:

Lucifer is a tall young man with short, messy black hair and red eyes. He has two scars over his left eye that remotely remind of scratch marks and another rather lightning-shaped scar on his right cheek. He has pointed ears with silver rings on the helixes. His usual attire consists of a black coat with a high collar reaching down to below his knees, a white, normal t-shirt, black pants with a black leather belt having a silver, rectangular buckle and brown boots reaching to below his knees. Sometimes, his arched red horns are visible. He's occasionally seen wearing a stylish black jacket with purple edges that exposes a great part of his chest and collar bones, a black choker with purple crystals and black pants with a black and golden double belt.
For training purposes, Lucifer usually changes into a skin-tight purple battle suit, wide, gray pants and a black, very short cardigan that is closed via a black strap running over his chest.
In the Highschool series, Lucifer is seen wearing the uniform of Starfell Academy consisting of a gray jacket and pants paired with a white button shirt. He also wears green contact lenses to hide his red eyes.

Personality:

Lucifer is a pretty calm and charismatic individual following his own sense of justice. He seeks to punish those who are truly evil for their deeds by either removing them from society or teaching them a lesson. He's also pragmatic, trying to negotiate with his foes at any given time to avoid unnecessary blood shed and find a non-violent solution to conflict, which he attempted to do with both, Kami and Aynare. He is very kind and soft towards anyone, offering his help whenever they need it, or give advice to those who need encouragement or guidance. An example of that is the situation where he spoke to Agurith who broke down in tears because he felt guilty for not having told his best friend the truth about his mental instability. Lucifer is incredibly set on keeping his promises, as he thinks it is crucual to keep your word to keep the trust others have within you. He also despises lying and being lied to, but makes distinct differences between lying and withholding. He also judges by the situation either of both has been used in whether it was moral or not. He doesn't consider himself a great leader and doesn't expect help from others at all, giving them the freedom of making their own choices and judgments. However, he does expect a certain level of respect. He rejects to be even remotely similar to Kami, which is prejudiced, judgmental and open to only one side of the story. Instead, he tries to be compassionate, understanding and righteous in every way. He does not accept injustice done to his friends and tries to protect the innocent. On a romantic level, he's pretty awkward as he mostly misunderstands even the slightest hints made into that direction. He's a little bit out of touch regarding social interactions with girls especially, mostly not knowing how to deal with the attention he gets. He's resolute, protective and self-sacrificing, always putting the well-being of others above his own. He's a serious person by nature and can even become pretty creepy when he's angry, throwing pretty chilling deathglares at people who invoke his pure fury. He has a slight addiction to Mikados and sets clear rules for his brother. He also likes tidiness and order, which makes him practically play the house maiden, since Satan is the exact opposite of that. Lucifer holds a grudge against himself for how consumed by wrath and hatred he was after his unjustified exile. Having been driven into madness by two long years of isolation, he projected his unbound rage on the one who created him, ready to go over corpses to force her into a fight with him. Being blinded by said rage, lusting for blood and relishing in the pain of his former allies, he appeared monstrous in contrast to how he had been before. This caused him to be afraid of his own reflection, as he sees a monster within himself still and he starts hallucinating about it whenever he catches a glimpse of it. Despite being a pretty composed and intelligent person all over, he's kind of impulsive and emotionally unstable, too. The way the devil is described only partly applies to him. Instead of being a deceiver, tempter and distorter, he shows honesty and eloquence, being capable of convincing people to believe him without threatening or fooling them, which practically gives him the ability of being extremely persuasive. Being attractive and unapproachable, he turns out to be very popular in the lady world, which makes him tempting in a different way. He is a cold-blooded killer when he has to, showing itself in how he murdered Valacaria, Kaysha, Ayuril and anyone else who willingly made themselves his adversary in a pretty swift or brutal way. He didn't flinch away from killing them, having his former reckless killing machine side shining through a bit. The devil is also described as being prideful, which Lucifer is, even if not in an extreme way. His pride only limits to not engaging into things he considers stupid (like dancing, for example) or embarrassing (romance). Furthermore, he is being described as powerful, which Lucifer undoubtably is. He has the greatest amount of mana from all demons and used to have the two most powerful types of magic together. Adding up to that is strength of heart, which he shows through his benevolence, his will to help and protect people, his kindness and his capability of admitting mistakes. He also is well aware of how powerful he is, showing clearly as he "experimented" with Aynare about the limits of her powers while fighting her. Subtle is another trait assigned to the devil, which applies to Lucifer as well. He was also called "cruel" by Tiriara in the past, which applied to the point where he lashed out at the world, but does no longer suit his present self.

Past:

Lucifer was created by the goddess, Crypto, from her own blood, which means he has the blood of a god running through his veins. Crypto selected him to be the next god and the savior of all, meaning he was to protect everyone and guide the lost souls back onto the right path. She taught him spells like Angelic Core Separation and Last Judgement and let him use the library inside her castle to study, which he did diligently. He learned different kind of practical skills, like reading and writing magical runes, breaking seals and analyze mana. As he grew older, demons appeared in town and Crypto gave him and the other angels the order to go out and slay them, as they were creatures of darkness and destruction. Following her orders, Lucifer fought his way through and killed several of the demons before he came face to face with Lilith, the "mother" of the demons. He learned that humans were capable of transforming into demons when their pain and suffering was great enough and that exactly that happened to Lilith. That her cry for help was ignored by Kami and that that's the reason why she unleashed all the other demons onto the humans. Lucifer hesitated, which is why Kami had to interfere and kill her before she could kill him. As that happened, the demons decided to retreat and vanished. It was then that Lucifer started to doubt the correctness of executing demons just because they are demons, since they were the ones to have gone through the most pain and told Kami he would no longer assassinate any more of them. She agreed and promised him she wouldn't force him to do it anymore and that he should follow his heart.
As he one day went out to Aphadrim to just think about stuff for himself, he witnessed Maeril hunting down Azra, a demon. As he had come to the conclusion that "saving everyone" included the demons as well and that they, too, had a right to live and no one should be justified to decide about whether or not they have a permission to exist, he decided to intervene and stop his fellow angel from killing the demon. As he forced her to retreat, he told Azra to hide and not show himself at day. He then returned to Ainu, just to be called into Kami's palace. It turns out Maeril, who had been jealous of his favorism from the moment he was born, had told Kami a story about him betraying them and attacking her in favor of a demon. Before he was capable of correcting this ill-belief, Kami spoke out her judgment and turned him into a demon as punishment, banishing him to the world of Rauco she had created just to prison him in there. Following this was a two-year period of total isolation and loneliness that made him fall into a deep state of pain and depression, letting him drown in tears. With his declining mental stability however grew his anger and wish for rebellion, whereas he did his best to combine his time and space magic powers to tear a hole into the construction of the dimensions, which he succeeded to do after a while. He managed to break free at last. Having turned partly insane, he had made up his mind to confront Kami for her wrong decision and unjust judgment. He thus sought out the survivors among the demons, asking them to join the battle he was about to start in exchange for a safe place in the dimension that was used as his cage. The initial reluctance turned into agreement in the end and the demons supported Lucifer in his battle. Lucifer then brought destruction to the town, fueled by his rage, in hope of Kami appearing personally to oppose him, however, he was disappointed as the only person appearing was Tiriara. They fought shortly until she managed to activate the angelic core within his body upon touch. The core then started to slowly destroy his body from the inside as he was a demon, not an angel anymore. Tiriara then left him for dead in his suffering. However, Lucifer refused to die, so he used the Angelic Core Separation spell Kami taught him on himself to get rid of it. He succeeded and managed to survive, but fell into a coma for a short while. The spell itself though was determined for usage on other people, not oneself, which meant Lucifer had abused its purpose. As a result for this wrong use, he lost a part of his soul, including his Spatial Magic and the ability of feeling pain. However, as souls are a consciousness in spirit form, the part of his soul he lost was seeking for a new vessel and so settled into the dead body of a human nearby, thus resurrecting it and turning it into a demon in the process. Being reborn as Satan, said reincarnated person shared Lucifer's memories and feelings and was thus able to understand his intentions and pain better than anyone else, causing Lucifer to slowly find peace once more. But as Kami learned that he had survived, she sought further punishment for the massacre he caused, thus sending out Maeril to capture him. As she attacked him, she didn't expect Satan to be present, which is why it didn't really go as planned for her. She managed to blind Lucifer throwing a light ball at his face, then tried to kill him that way. Satan however shielded Lucifer with his body, taking a fatal blow from her in his stead. As Lucifer smelled the blood, he blindly grabbed his wrist and pulled him back to prevent her to kill him instantly, then used his sense of smell and hearing to attack her, forcing her to retreat. He then tended to Satan who had deep wounds on his chest. Realizing he had started to care for him, he went back to Rauco with him and used his time magic to heal his wounds, even though he was still weakened from the wrongly used spell's consequences. His eyes did not recover for a while, at least two more weeks. Once he had recovered and dared to leave Rauco again, he however ended up being ambushed by the angels, captured and forced down on a magic circle that suppressed his magic powers. As Kami herself then proceeded to try and rip out his wings, Satan showed up as his Sixth Sense ability warned him about this, and liberated Lucifer from their clutches. Lucifer then agreed on a truce between himself and Kami before he and Satan escaped together.

Relationships:

To Satan: Lucifer was first dismissive of Satan until he started to care for him. He later on even had a connection to him that was almost similar to family, viewing Satan not only as a soulmate but as his brother. He grew slightly protective of him and realized that he is the one person he wouldn't ever want to lose, which showed perfectly when Satan was in a coma for at least three months and the odds of him waking up were slim. During this time period, Lucifer felt utterly miserable. He even went as far as violating the rules set for his magic and rewinding time to prevent Satan's death shortly after. He even chose to rather die himself than see Satan die, being willed to sacrifice his own life for him.

To Sitri: Since the two of them had built up the empathy link for a short time, Sitri became very attached to Lucifer. Lucifer freaked out when he saw Sitri badly wounded after the younger had used Soul Call on him and coldly killed those who were responsible for that. The relationship can best be described as a somewhat father-son-like one.

To Maeril: Lucifer, when he still was an angel, was very hurt by the fact Maeril didn't like him at all. He was literally upsetting himself because of it, but Maeril ignored it. She ratted him out to Kami and lied about what he did in the past out of pure envy. From that point forward, Lucifer felt nothing but disgust and pure hatred for her.

To Tiriara: Despite having almost died by her hand, he revealed not holding a grudge against her at all, because she indirectly made it possible for him to meet Satan. After having had a longer talk with Lucifer after Arashi War, she finally understood his side of the story and what he felt over all these years, feeling terrible for having believed the lies she was told. In the end, she cut ties with Ainu and became a fallen angel, alll just for Lucifer's sake. It's hinted she seems to be in love with him, but it's not very clear.

To Kami/Crypto: Lucifer used to look up to Kami, but nowadays, he feels nothing for her anymore. To him, she's but another enemy. He however did not forgive her for his false and unjustified sentence, but the hatred he once had burning within him has long died.

Magic and Abilities:

Lucifer wields Temporal Magic, also known as Time Magic. It allows him to freeze, accelerate, decelerate or bend time. He also knows a series of spells not related to this type of magic. Later on, he also attains Netatia Mode, a state in which he is able to control Nether as a basic essence of magic.

-Mana Analysis/Magic Fingerprint Analysis (A skill Lucifer learned from the books in Kami's library. It allows him to examine leftovers of used magic, determine what kind of magic it is, and find the user through their magic fingerprint.)

-Restriction Spells (allow Lucifer to prevent certain types of magic to work on objects.)

-Seal Breaking Spells (allow him to break any kind of magic seal.)

-Magic Alphabet (allows him to use the alphabet of magic runes, both Tannaur and Asazura.)

-Guardian Shield (a magic spell that grants a magic barrier.)

-Angelic Core Separation (allows user to remove Angelic Cores from an angel's body)

-Magic Tracking (allows user to find traces of magic used in the surroundings.)

Spells (Time Magic related):

- Distortion of Time: Acceleration (Allows user to increase the pace of time flow, but restrict this to certain people or objects. Like this, they can move faster or increase the speed of a thrown object, like a knife. It can also be expended to increase the flow of time in whole places.)

-Distortion of Time: Deceleration (User decreases the speed of time for objects or other people so it appears like they are moving in slow motion. It can also be expanded to slowing down time in whole places.)

-Reverse of Time (Alpha Version) (Allows the user to rewind time. Thus, they can destroy objects and cure injuries.

-Reverse of Time (Beta  Version) (The user memorizes a small part of the air as it currently is. Then, they rewind time for this little space and can cause enemies to have serious injuries when being in that space. They can easily tear big injuries into the foe's body like that or rip tehir limps off.)

-Dawn of Ages (This spell is used to accelerate the aging process of objects or living (non-immortal) creatures. These age at rapid speeds and dissolve into dust.)

-Time Loop (The user traps an enemy in a time loop of events that keep repeating themselves, making the target unable to get out.)

-Time Freeze (The user stops the flow of time and freezes everything in motion, warping themselves into the space between times where they are the only ones capable to move (with the exception of those they allow to move in it as well).)

-Past Fragment (This spell enables the user to recall events that happened in the past in form of visions.)

-Future Fragment (Being the counterpart of Past Fragment, this spell allows the user to throw a look into the future.)

-Time Alter: Encumbrance (The user slows down the flow of his own time, reducing the speed of his body functions in case of serious injuries, including the speed of his heartbeat and blood flow.)

-Age Relapse (This spell allows the caster to manipulate time so they can inflict all pain the foe has experienced in their lives back on them at once.)

-Repetition (The user can repeat events or attacks that have happened before without wasting the same amount of mana.)

-Time Crossover (This spell allows the user to select two points in time and conflate them into one, mostly to increase the effect of a magic spell by either doubling it or combine it with the effect of another spell.)

-Time Whisper (This spell, if used, reveals to the user whether magic has been used on a person or in a certain place by filtering time.)

-Last Judgement (only when combined Space Magic: This spell distorts the order of time and space, creating ruptures in the time-space continuum. This imbalance will cause order to fall apart for a moment, unleashing an apocalyptic effect. The sky will start glowing before meteors start to fall down, causing devastating destruction and damage.)

Netaria Spells: 

-Clyflora Infernalis/ "Seven Shields of the Nether Flower" (The user creates a violet flower of nether flames in front of them from which seven vaulted circle-shaped rings appear. This is a protection spell.) 

-Nether Jet Storm (The user sends thousands of violet energy beams on his opponent.)

-Destructive Nether Cannon (The user creates a circle in front of them, charging a sphere of concentrated nether inside from which he unleashes a powerful and destructive beam.)

-Nether Blade Gale (The user unleashes a storm of crescent-shaped blades.)

-Nether Control: Circle of Destruction (The user summons a giant magic circle underneath their enemy. Different-sized rings then appear over it in the air before a beam is unleashed from bottom and rips everything on and above it to pieces.)

-Nether Eradication (The user sends out multiple spheres of nether energy, placing them around their foe. These will create extreme explosions.)

-Nether Flare (The user summons netherious fire which they can attack with.)

Weaknesses:

-Since Temporal Magic is an infinity force, the only weakness it has is time magic itself. 

Trivia: 

-Green is Lucifer's favorite color. 

-During his transformation, his hair turned from gold-blonde to pitch black and his eyes from ocean blue into red. 

-Lucifer loves Mikado (the candy). 

-Lucifer was supposed to be the next god and sometimes is referred to as a demigod (or half god). 

-Lucifer is the only one knowing Kami's true name (until he told Tiriara). 

-Lucifer is the oldest of all Rauco demons.

-The scars on Lucifer's face were created during his transformation process. 

-Lucifer used to own both, Temporal and Spatial Magic, but ultimately lost the latter. 

-Lucifer has the greatest natural amount of mana of all the demons. The only one exceeding him in that was Sthioraz, whose basic amount of mana was around 108.000mp, but his entire stock of mana was around 35.220.108mp (even tho it was the mana he could potentially use, not the amount he could store within his body). 

-When he lost a part of his soul, he didn't only lose his Space Magic but also his ability to feel pain. 

-His trident Nightfall was the first ever black metal weapon. Tir'an then used the structure of the material to make it a common weapon among Rauco demons. 

-His name means "Morning Star" or "Light Bearer". 

-Claiming the nether almost destroyed his body. 

-Lucifer's flower is the Xeranthemum, also known as 'annual everlasting' or 'Immortelle'. Everlasting flowers are flowers that retain their form, shape and color when dried, offering their beauty beyond the experience of one growing season, after the other flowers have faded and died. This is why the Xeranthemum represents eternity, which goes in line with Lucifer being capable of using Time Magic. However, living in eternity also means to lose many things along the way and feel the pain coming with it, which Lucifer once considered to be his undeniable fate- to see the world change before his very eyes, see people come and go- while he himself would never change and just keep on living even if everything fell apart.
