Alec kept checking his phone. he was sitting in the living room not really paying attention to what his father was saying,  “demonics are vial and cruel and should not be allowed to walk this earth as if they are human, vampires warlocks fairies and werewolves they are all filth,” Alec suddenly got sight of where this conversation was going but didn't get his voice fast enough, “I still can’t believe you dated that dog I mean I thought I raised you better Alexander. Well at least now that is over and you no longer have feelings for it,” his father continued

“it? Are you seriously referring to Celena Delunne as an it? She is the alpha female of the New York  Cani-Lupus pack,” Alec’s temper was rising

“why are you defending that demonic, you broke up with her you never had feelings for her to begin with!”  

“No dad, that’s not what happened, I lied! Because your hatred is so strong and you force it onto us as if you want us to literally choke us with it. And I am sick of it,”

“so then she broke up with you I told you they were corrupt,”

“No… I…” Alec couldn't think of a way to explain even to his father who seemed to be itching to hit something, “I asked her to change me! I wanted to be with her as a wolf!” Alec yelled he didn't care anymore didn't care if it was Savannah or Luke climbing down the stair case toward the yelling he was finally letting himself admit what had actually happened. “And I don’t regret it!”

Alec stormed up the stairs past both his siblings who are gaping at him wide eye full of confused emotions, his sister’s eyes told him that she was proud that someone stood up to our father, but they also told him that she was worried about him, after all it was everyday you find out your older brother wants to be a werewolf. Luke’s eyes told Alec that he thought that Alec was crazy especially since the argument Luke and Jessica had had yesterday. His eyes also said that he was scared for Alec and the lengths he would go to knowing once he got an idea in his head he would stick to it.

Alec grabbed his duffle bag and stuffed as much as he could into it. Even several weapons he had hidden in different places around his room. He closed the bag and was made suddenly aware of a presence in his room, “not in the mood for a lecture dad so you can drop it,” Alec said not turning to see who it was,

“I would be seriously worried If I was your father, A) your older than me,” said a familiar voice witch a smirk, “and B) I’m a girl!” Savannah lent against his door frame with her arms folded across her chest. “Is it true what you said to dad? I mean did you really ask Celena that?” she asked with wide eyes

“yeah, is it really that hard to believe,”

“no not really you are that idiotic sometimes is that why you dumped her, because she said no,”

“you ask far too many questions, you do know that right,”

“people have said it, but now is that why you dumped her and stepped on the pieces of her heart?”

“I didn’t dump her, she dumped me but it was entirely my fault,” Alec sighed absent mindedly grabbing miscellaneous items and putting them in his pockets or the outside pockets of his bag. Wallet, keys, phone and the necklace he had bought for Celena but never given to her and photos of them together and of his family. “I asked her to do the one thing she promised her parents she would never do, but more importantly it was a promise to herself, she said she couldn’t be with someone who asked that of her, and so we split,” 

“where will you go?”  Savannah asked looking as if she knew he had to leave but wanted to force him to stay

“I’m not quite sure yet,” Alec shouldered the bag, “and don’t look at me like that Savannah, this is always my home you know that, but dad and I need our space for a while, you know what its like remember what it was like after mum died you and I couldn’t be within 20 feet of each other without starting to fight, I have my phone so you can call me and text me hell you can email me if you really want,”

Alec ushered her out of the room and slammed the door he was going to make a spectacle as he left. He stormed down the stairs making as much noise as possible he didn’t have to act he was still pissed off about how his father had acted, it wasn’t long before he got his reaction, as Alec reached the bottom step his father’s voice rang through the room, “and just where do you think you’re going Alexander,”

“no idea , all I know is that anywhere is better than here,”  alec spat at his father

“and what is that supposed to mean,”

“that I’m not having your hatred for the demonics forced down my throat any longer,”

“if that’s how your gonna act then go, good luck making your own way in life,”

“oh and FYI Jessica is missing, it may do you good to ,oh I don’t know, notice someone that is not yourself for once.” Alec slipped past his father and out the door he wasn’t quite sure why he hadn’t told his father about Jessica at least while he was waiting for a reply from Celena he had told Savannah and Luke they hadn’t really believed him but when they sure his expression could tell he wasn’t joking. But now he left it to them to discover the damage and ruin that had encased her room.  

‘Well there goes my home,’ thought Alec as he left the street he had grown up in. he went to the one place he had always felt helped him clear his thoughts. Once he had stop over reacting he would find somewhere to crash for a couple of nights, it had always been Savannah who was the social one. Jessica, Alec, Luke and Savannah had gone to school like every other child there age gotten their licenses but Jess Alec and Luke found it easier to keep their secret of being demon killers if they kept to themselves but Savannah had no problem being the popular social butterfly that everyone knew.

Celena sat in the apartment that had belonged to her parents. She sat in the office chair with her feet planted firmly on the desk. She swung slowly in the chair reading through the messages on Jessica’s phone. There were the expected messages from Alec, Savannah, Luke and Christopher. But there was a lot of messaging between Jess and some guy whose contact name was magic boy.

'I think I found something,' Celena sent the message to Alec and got an instant reply of 'what?!"She sighed and asked him to meet her at the apartments within 10 minutes there was a knock at the door "come in," she yelled and Romulus appeared in the door way with Alec at his shoulder

"Do you know where she is?"  He asked a little short of breath without so much as a hello from the demon hunter.

"No, but I have an idea who she would turn to," she sighed and moved a chair over so that he could sit at the desk beside her, "Romulus you can go."  The door closed and Alec moved to sit beside her it was only now that Celena noticed the duffle bag slung over his shoulder.

"Please tell me that is not full of weapons, if this guy is who I think he is you won't want to hurt him, well not if you want to keep talking to Jessica,"

"Dad and I got into a fight and I left, what do you mean if I want to keep talking to Jess,"

"Look read through the messages from this guy," Celena handed him the phone already on the page for magic boy, " I'm sorry but I live with almost 40 guys and none of them talk to me like that as friends, you’re the only guy that has ever spoken to me like that,"

"'Hey babe, I love you my angel, make sure that tonight you look just as beautiful as ever if not more gorgeous,' if they aren't a couple this guy seriously needs to back up a bit," Alec said reading through a couple of the messages at random, "or not," he sighed as he read a couple of messages sent by Jess

"I think that Jess was trying to hide this guy from you, we'll not you directly but your family, because she knew what your reactions would be,"

"Our reactions ?"

"Luke would be like what is his name, number, address, social security number and how old is he. Savannah will be like oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh I have to meet him when can I meet him is he cute oh my gosh he is isn't he, you well you wouldn't really care as long as he didn't hurt her but if he is a warlock like I'm guessing Robert would be all why the hell are you dating a filthy demonic they bring nothing but darkness to this world and the sooner they are eradicated  the better," Celena did near perfect impressions of Alec's family and their reactions to Jessica's relationship status.

"You say warlock because?" He inquired

"because  magic boy is his contact name, and how many vampires, wolves or humans do you know that can perform magic,"

"He could be a fairy,"

"Yeah with the whole Luke turning into a fairy thing making her hate fairies more and more I think that is the likely option don't you,"

"Right sorry I didn't think of that,"

Alec's  was always apologizing sometime it got on Celena’s nerves but other times it made him seem more childish which is what she liked most about him  "so do we at least know what this guy's name is?" 

"No that's where I came to a standstill, she is pretty careful about not sending him a message without his name in it, it is usually babe or something along the same lines, but she did stuff up once," Celena took the phone from Alec and scrolled a lot until she reached a certain message, "she sent this about 4 days ago, she called him Jace which I am guessing is a nickname that steams from his real name," 

Within what felt like 20 minutes but had actually been about an hour and a half they had compiled a list of names that Jace could possibly be used as a nickname for.

Jason

Jacob

Jackson

Jaceem

And any other names with the initials JC but they figured they would try their luck with just first names only to begin with

"Do you know any warlocks with these names," Alec asked rubbing his jade colored eyes before running his hands through his dark brown hair. It was a strange combination Celena thought to herself jade green eyes and dark brown hair just darker than coffee. It was a strange combination but it was a combination she loved on Alec and wouldn't change a thing about it she was undoutably and unashamedly  in love with Alec Hawthorne. And yet the wolf inside her told her to back off because she could never be with him not truly. Somewhere out in the world her true mate was doing god-knows what perhaps they are having a similar problem still love a human or a demon hunter  but have to force themselves away knowing that it is wrong to want them. In a way she hoped her true mate was experiencing a similar problem it means when they do finally meet that she will have a mate who understands how hard it is to say goodbye to your first love. When Alec first asked her out she only said yes thinking it would be just a little fling but they ended up falling in love with each other and boy did they fall hard. "Earth to Celena, you in there," Alec said waving a hand in front of her face snapping her back into reality

"Sorry what was the question,"

"I asked if you know any warlocks with these names,"

"No sorry I could ask Romulus he knows more of the warlocks than I do and if that doesn't work we may as well try calling usher bell,"

"Seems worth a shot if not we are screwed,"

The pair walked slowly down the stairs to find Romulus. They found him in the office dealing with the last couple of loose ends so that fane could officially be recognized as alpha of the New York pack now that he was of age.

“Romulus?” Celena asked gently trying to relieve the anger she had felt toward him earlier, “you wouldn’t happen to know any warlocks by the name of Jace or who bare the initials JC would you?”

“Jace? Not that I can recall,” Romulus held a polite and informative tone as he spoke to his alpha female, “I do on the other hand know of several warlocks with the initials JC although I have never met any of them for they do not tend to dwell in this area,”

“are you certain?” alec cut in only receiving a glare from the pair of wolves

“of cause I am certain demon hunter, I think I would know who I have met and as for the initials there is Jonathan Clark who is 600 years old currently living in London, James Christopher is 300 years old from Australia another is Jacquelyn Cerpt from Italy she is fairly young only 90 years old, but judging by your expressions you are looking for a male from this area,”  Romulus turned to Celena and apologized, “I am sorry I was not of help you can try calling usher bell he would associated with the majority of the warlocks in New York,”

“thank you,” Celena said turning to leave,

She and Alec had just about reached the stairs to head back up to the apartment when Romulus came skidding out of the office. “There’s a Jason, he is young early sixties if that,”

“60 is young?” Alec arched an eyebrow

“when your immortal yes it is, he won’t look a day over 20,” Celena informed before turning to her second, “do you have an address for him,”

“sorry I only know his name, Jason Platt,”

“thank you Romulus, you have been a great help,” Celena grabbed Alec's arm and ran up the stairs taking two at a time.

“Wait Celena slow down, knowing his name isn't going to help us find Jessica,” Alec said trying to catch his breath.

“You my dear friend have obviously been living under a rock every heard of the internet and the abilities of social media,” Celena put on a know it all voice as she reached the apartment and opened her laptop. She sat down on the couch and started typing. Alec paced nervously behind her chewing on his nails, muttering something along the lines of ‘why would she keep this from me,’

After 20 minutes Celena was starting to get irritated she hadn't found anything on Jason Platt and Alec’s constant muttering was giving her a headache. She rubbed her temples and read over the newest facebook page she had opened

She scrolled through the information, 20 years old, male, lived in Billingshurst, England. Celena was just about to close the page if he lived in England he wasn't the guy they were looking for, how many Jason Platt’s are in this world she thought to herself, she scrolled down the page a little just for the humor of it and found he was in a relationship and had moved to Brooklyn in January. And thankfully enough for Alec and Celena he hadn't made the address private from prying eyes.

“Alec, I found him,” she said as she wrote down the address.

Alec stopped pacing immediately and read over her shoulder “you’re truly amazing, you know that,” he said as he planted a kiss right on her lips he blushed and pulled away quickly. “sorry I’m sorry, I don’t know what came over me, I think I’ll just …”

“oh shut up, Celena turned so that her knees were digging into the back of the couch and she was facing Alec, “just shut up okay,” she planted a kiss on Alec mouth with a lot more passion then he had in his. But this time neither of them pulled away they both lent into the kiss Celena’s fingers twisted into Alec’s hair while Alec’s hands found their way up her spine bunching her shirt up around her chest. They both pulled away at the same time Celena rested her arms on Alec’s neck and his fell to her waist. He pressed his forehead onto hers and smiled Celena giggled slightly, “you don’t know how much I have missed that,” she sighed.

“Actually I do,” Alec said and pulled her in for another kiss. Celena wriggled to her feet so she was standing above him leaning into the kiss most of her weight was supported by Alec’s shoulders. He grabbed her by the waist and Celena over balanced, falling to the ground on top of Alec.

“that didn't go to plan,” Alec moaned, “when did you get so heavy,” he said in a joking tone

“I’m the same weight I have always been it’s not my fault your weak,”

“hey don’t be mean, I’ll tickle you,” he threatened before rolling over so that she was on the ground under him. Celena screamed and laughed at the same time as Alec tickled her hips and under her arms and all the ticklish spots that he had come to know.

“Celena are you… oh,” Fane burst into the apartment, interrupting the couple

“Fane! Get out!” she yelled sitting up, Alec moved so he was sitting beside her legs instead of on top of them.

“I’m sorry but I heard you screaming and I got worried,”

“you really got to learn the difference between laughing and scream now get out,” Celena was on her feet and her words were coming out with a growl.

“I didn’t realize that you had a boyfriend and a human one at that!” Fane was beginning to lose his temper as well, “didn't you guys break up!”

“we did but obviously that didn't last, and now if you don’t mind we have some catching up to do,” Celena took one step forward and Fane took one step back giving Celena room to slam the door in his face.

“Catching up to do?”Alec raised his eyebrows at her.

“Oh shut up I wasn't really thinking and I wanted him out. He is seriously the most annoying person on the planet some days,” she slumped against the couch

“you’re preaching to the choir, three siblings remember,” Alec held up three fingers

“speaking of your siblings we should probably go find Jess,”

“oh right, kind of forgot about that,”
