In less than half an hour my shift will finally be over. As I stand behind the counter and look around the empty gas station, I count the minutes until I get to go home. Today's shift has seemed to drag on forever, seeing as only 3 people have came in the gas station.

If it wasn't for how high the rent is for my apartment, I wouldn't have to work at this place. Between attending college and going to work, I've barely had any time to myself. Since it seemed like there would be no more customers to come in, I decided to go get the mop so I could try to clean up a little. As soon as I started walking to the back room to get the cleaning supplies I need, the bell above the door rang.

I got back to the cash register and looked at see who had entered. I was greeted by a very attractive man with orange hair walking through the store. He was wearing all black and had a small tattoo on his left hand. As I looked into his beautiful dark eyes, I could tell something was off.

"Can I help you with something?" I asked as he stood in front of the counter. Without a word he smirks as he sit his things on top of the counter for me to ring up. As I was scanning his items I could feel his eyes staring at the side of my face.

"What's such a pretty girl like you doing working at this dump. What's your name love?"the man asked. I wasn't sure what his intentions were but I decided to answer anyway " my name's Ava" I replied, pointing at the name tag displayed on my shirt. "Ava. That's a beautiful name. My names jimin"

"Your total is twelve dollars and thirty six cents" I say while holding my hand out. He hands me a $20 bill and says "Do you live around here Ava". "Yeah I have an apartment in the area, why do you ask?" I reply. That's a very strange question to ask someone you've just met. Without answering my question, he takes his bags and starts walking out the door. As he's walking outside he turns and says "I'll see you around Ava". And with that, the beautiful man walks out of the store.

By the time he's out of sight it's time for my shift to be over. I grab my keys and turn off all the lights, then lock the big glass door. The walk out of the gas station and start to make my way to my apartment. The entire walk home made me a bit uneasy, like it normally does. But tonight was even worse. Im probably just still a bit shaken up about that odd man. As I reach my apartment complex, a sense of relief washes over me. Before I walk to my room I check to make sure both locks on my apartment door are completely closed.

AN: This chapter was pretty short and not very interesting, but it would be great if you guys could comment.
