After the events of the Exorcism, Sonic had a lot of time to recover, he was hospitalized because of his injuries.

The blue hedgehog was wearing a baggy red hoodie where the sleeves covered his hands, black baggy pants the covered his heels, and red sneakers, the hedgehog had to get a lot of stitches, and had a lot of medication to take. Due to his age Shadow and Rouge became his legal guardian.

Sonic is now fourteen years old, and suffers through a lot of mental issues, one of those being that he was afraid to sleep alone, and in the dark, still fears the church, but respects it cause it helped him get through the demonic possession of Infinite. Sonic has a big scar on his chest from when the gem shattering.

Shadow gives a Rouge a kiss on the cheek, "Good Evening Hon" the bat said, she was wearing a black one piece suit, with a light purple chest plate over her breasts showing off some of cleavage, and a light purple vest, ankle-length socks, with white heel boots, on laying on her lap was Sonic, who had tears in his eyes from crying himself to sleep and hugging the stuffed bear.

"Hey...I got the adoption papers, are you sure you want to this?" Shadow asked.

Rouge only pets Sonic's quills down the hedgehog lets out a small purr in his sleep, the hedgehog had been having trouble with getting to sleep. "Yes...Shadow, he barely remembers his birth parents"

Shadow rubs Sonic's head and let's out a small sigh, "I guess he can stay...with that miracle, I own him at least a chance to have a second chance at a better life"

"That's the spirit Shadow" Rouge smiled.

"Congratulations...Mr. Hedgehog and Mrs. Bat, on becoming parents" The Lawer said with a smiled holding out the adoption certificate, with Sonic's name on it.

Sonic was sitting outside in of the office, he was holding the stuffed bear in his hands, he's been tormented by Infinite since he was at the age of seven, he was finally free and alone with his own thoughts, he heard the door open and Rouge running up to him hugging him. "Oh Sonic...I'm so happy~" she sniffs.

"W-what? Did I do something wrong?" Sonic asked his ear pinned to his head.

"No Sonic, but welcome to your new home" Shadow said ruffling his quills.

Sonic started to quiver before he hugged Rouge back, sobbing into her, "T-Thank you..."
