"The Abyss Awaits"
"그럼 내 피를 마시는 게 어때? 그게 네가 찾고 있는 진전일까?" (Why don't you drink my blood then ? Would that be the progress you're looking for ?)
More silence overcame the eight of them briefly. "Are you sure about that, Sunny ah ? We've avoided asking for obvious reasons...", Heeseung just wanted to make sure she didn't feel pressured to suggest such a thing for them.
She smiled as she nodded. "We should figure out what my ability is, right ? Nothing else is working. So why not try it ? Bite me."
The seven vampires didn't need much more convincing. Sunny held out her wrist & Sunghoon sunk his fangs in. One by one they took blood from her. She felt a little dizzy after, but was overall fine.
The boys bodies went into shock for a minute & their eyes turned a steel grey as they coughed up a little blood themselves. However, they've never felt stronger than they do in this moment.
"Your blood is like sweet venom. It poisoned us for a minute before it subsided leading to complete renewal of power," Jake pointed out as Sunny wrapped her wrist with some gauze.
That night Sunny woke up in the middle of the night hearing Soojin crying. She would've entered her grandmother' room had it not been for what she overheard.
Soojin cried as she said these things, but for her they needed to be said. "Demons ! They've taken root in Sunny' soul. Does she want to be like them ? No, I can't allow that to happen. God, please protect her from the temptations of those vile creatures..."
The next few days started out as normal. Progress had been made. Just drinking a little of Sunny' blood had long lasting effects on the boy' powers. Even more so from being in her vicinity.
"할머니?" (Grandmother ?), Sunny called out as she came home only to not only be doused with water, but a swift movement caught her eye. She couldn't even process what happened before she hit the floor with a massive scream. Dark blood pooling out of her side, a bloody knife in Soojin' hand. Her beloved grandmother' hands...
"Did you just stab me ? Why ?" Sunny was getting dizzier by the second, but she wanted answers. Was this really happening ? Soojin looked at Sunny as if looking at something that wasn't even there. Her eyes were wide as she dropped the knife, "I had to... You'd have become one of those demons... I'd rather remember you this way...As my beloved granddaughter..."
"Aren't you going to help me ?", Sunny asked hoping this wasn't really happening. How could her grandmother do this without so much a batting an eye ? Soojin knelt beside her granddaughter muttering a soft manic, "No."
For Sunny time seemed to slow to a stop. Her breathing got slower & slower until there was nothing. Soojin put on a perfect act as she called the proper authorities to announce Sunny' death...
