Chapter eleven
~Y/N POV~
Food shopping for six men is a big task I can tell you that. This morning after checking through our kitchen cupboards and the refrigerator I noticed how we were lacking food so we needed a urgent grocery shopping.
So with that decided Jin volunteered to come with me but I bagged at Jungkook to get out of bed and come with us. Since we've moved back in to this house Jungkook does nothing but sleep or stay glued to the computer all day. You would think he would be out and about doing tasks that Namjoon gives him to do but no, he stays and does nothing which is very unusual for him since he's an active guy. So I forced him to come with us.
However Jungkook didn't protest or whine just a grunt here and there and that's it. I could tell even in the car when Jin drove us to the supermarket that he was tired and kept his hood up from his black hoodie and stared out the window the whole time.
But when it came to walking around the supermarket he stayed close which was good and to see his eyes sparkle when it comes to seeing his favourite food was a good sign he was coming out of here whatever sad state he was in. However how long would that last.
Jungkook and I were walking side by side as I was pushing the shopping cart down the aisle while Jin was busy speaking to the butcher about the meat they currently had in right now.
Since it was the two of us together alone I thought I would ask him what's been up with him. So taking a deep breath watching his back as he checks out the bags of chips that are on the shelves in deep thought about which ones he wants this time.
"Hey Jungkook? Could I ask you something?"
He hummed and slowly turned around to face me with a very small smile on his face.
"Yeah?" Jungkook
I looked up and down the aisle in both directions just to see we're alone so I took my chance to finally bring up what I've been wanting to ask him.
"Are you feeling okay? Like you seem a little down in the dumps so I just wanted to ask you if you were alright?"
Jungkook chuckles, cracking a actual smile this time that forces his lips to curve all the more.
"Is this why you told me to come shopping with you guys?" Jungkook
I nodded and reached out to grab his arm.
"Yes and no. The truth is I'm worried about you."
Again Jungkook chuckles, licking his lips and grabs my wrist to pull me in for a hug which I was not expecting so soon but still I hugged him back.
"I'm just fine y/n. Being back that house just brings back memories is all but I'll get over it. If anyone should be asking anyone if they're okay it should be me asking you that." Jungkook
I shook my head again that was pressed against his chest with a smile at my own. It was quite cute that he said that.
"I'm okay too Jungkook, no one needs to ask me anything."
I patted his back with both hands that were firmly around his body for this shared hug. Our hug lasted a few more seconds before we both pulled away from each other and Jungkook turned back around to the choices of chips.
"I think I'll just take two of these." Jungkook
He bent over to pick up two large bags of salted chips shaped like bunnies. It was typical really so I'm not surprised.
"You know Taehyung might fight you for them."
I pointed out now standing back next to the shopping cart with one hand rested on the bar. Jungkook gasped after dropping two of the bags of chips, realisation crossing his mind in a flash. He was quick to pick up another two and also drop them in the cart.
Jin suddenly appeared out of nowhere with two plastic bags of meat and placed them carefully in the cart but to stand with his hands on his hips with a look of disbelief on his face.
"It's shocking that butcher doesn't have any beef in." Jin
"No steak then?" Jungkook
Jungkook pouted at Jin who just scoffed at him.
"Didn't I just say that?" Jin
"So what mean did the butcher have?"
I asked Jin now lightly pushing the cart down the aisle with both boys following me walking in each side of the cart.
"Chicken and pork. That's all he had so I'll have to come back tomorrow since that's when he gets more meat coming in." Jin
I nodded and continued on walking. Jin stopped to look at the selection of chocolates while Jungkooks eyes were glued to the candy. Typical since we're in the confectionery aisle. We could be here a while because we also need for the others too.
Jin and Jungkook can deal with that though I was gonna look out my own snacks since I can take forever to choose. That's why I use to get yoongi to surprise me every time we went to the shop. He always chose my snacks but it was always things I liked to eat.
Scanning the shelf myself standing next to Jin I was trying to decide which chocolate I fancied eating. I was deep in thought when something or more like someone caught my eye from the end of the aisle.
Turning my head in that direction stood a man at the bottom of the aisle just in the direction we came from actually. Frowning scanning this unknown figure he work what looks like a gas mask over his face. Also a hood was over his head from his black jumper but what caught my eye was the mans hands that were the only bit of flesh I could see of the man. His right had a red and black tattoo of the yin and yang symbol. I thought it was funny at first but then it hit me.
Everyone in Yangs gang, the very man that is after me has every one of his members have yin yang tattoos in different places of their bodies. This man has his on his hand.
I gasped and stepped back in fright, my back colliding into jins arm.
"Y/n what is it?" Jin
I looked up at Jin, grabbing his hard by the sleeve and pulling him close to protect me. I knew he could. Pointing down the aisle where I now seen the man walk away out of view I started to tremble in fear. The man could be anywhere now.
"There. Down there. Yang member. Tattoo on hand."
That's all I could pretty much say and Jungkook grunted in annoyance and stomped his way down in the direction, one hand balled up in a fist and another reaching around to the hem of his jeans behind his back where he carries his gun. He never leaves the house without it. Even Jin has his stuffed down the back of his jeans now that I hug jins body tightly and he protectively wraps his arms around my body.
Jungkook disappeared from view also stomping away in the direction the stranger went to.
Jin started to rock me side to side to comfort me, his fingers brush through my hair softy as he tries to tell me it's alright.
"Don't worry y/n I'm here and Jungkook will find the guy. He always does." Jin
That's true, it brought some comfort to me that Jungkook will deal with the problem. Jin and I stayed cuddled for a while, just waiting for Jungkook to come back and say that's it's clear and all good and we can go home but after ten minutes he still hadn't come back which was odd.
Taking a step back from jin but he held my hand tightly as if he didn't want to let go. I glanced up at the big clock on the wall just a few feet away from ja ticking away. It had been a while since Jungkook came back and it's not right. Even Jin was starting to get worried.
Pulling my hand we deserted the cart and began to walk around the supermarket for Jungkook, just hoping to catch a glimpse of Jungkook. I became fearful something bad happened, something awful.
Jin pulled out his phone, pressing it to one ear frantically looking around this almost empty supermarket just as I was desperately wanting to find Jungkook.
"Damn it! He's not picking up." Jin
He tried again and again but nothing.
"Don't you have tracking app on your phone that Namjoon installed on it? Try that."
Jins eyes lit up and we paused by the doors of the super market looking in every direction around us. Jin opened up his phone and started up his tracking app by typing in Jungkooks name and contact number in his phone. After a few seconds it pinged and gave the location of behind the supermarket. Seeing this the two of us ran out the supermarket to run around to the back which led to an alleyway.
Both still hand in hand Jin refused to let go but searching and scanning the place for any sign of Jungkook. Jin kept spinning in circles finally letting go of my hand. He was looking at his tracking app again.
"It doesn't make sense, it says he's right here but he's not! Where the fuck is he?!" Jin
He was getting frustrated and scared just like I was. This is not good.
I was carefully scanning the floor walking slowly to make sure I didn't miss anything while Jin was now calling Namjoon about the situation. I could hear him shouting and cursing which is something he never does.
But then that's where I found it.
Jungkooks phone laying on the ground with a smashed screen and little spots of blood beside it and even next to it just behind a dumpster was Jungkooks black hoodie that he was wearing.
I gasped with tears in my eyes already picking up both items I walked back to Jin, head hung low and guilt eating away at me. It's my fault Jungkook was out in the first place and it's my fault for spotting the stranger.
Jin had his back to me but when he turned around and looked at the items in my hand while he had his own phone pressed against his ear, Jin looked at my face and then down to the items and stepped back with a gasp of his own and taking the phone from me to look at it and glanced at the hoodie.
"Y-Y/n where did you find this?" Jin
I pointed to the dumpster behind and brought the hoodie to my chest to hold close.
"Over by the dumpster, there's blood there too."
I sniffed back the tears and I could hear Namjoons loud voice on the other end of the phone asking what's going on. Jin had his own tears coming to his face and exhaled a shaky breath and looked up to the sky trying to blink the tears away.
"Namjoon. They've got Jungkook." Jin
