He woke , head throbbing like a jack hammer. Sitting up slowly the room spinning, he shuffled to his feet to stumble to the bathroom and vomit, just barely making the toilet. It took him a few minutes for his brain to focus and he headed to the kitchen for water and three aspirin. He sipped at the water, his insides shaking. He sat at the table as the recollection of the previous nights' events came back to him. He wanted to go back to bed and forget about everything but he knew it wouldn't do any good for him. It was better to get through it. He didn't want to deal with anything, at all. He sat there trying to wake up, hoping the pain reliever would kick in sooner as opposed to later.
He wanted coffee badly but thought it best to wait a bit. He saw the flowers in the vase and tossed them into the garbage. The candles had burned until the wick was nothing more than a small black soot stump. He would have to throw them out as well. He slowly shuffled his feet around the apartment, picking up the glass jars and tossing them into the trash. As the head throbbing began to dull he fired up the coffee pot. He sat down and waited for it to brew. He was devastated by Jenna, her lies had crushed his spirit. He knew he would go on without her, he had no choice. He felt doomed, but thought it couldn't get any worse.
I need to talk to someone about this whole mess, he thought as he grabbed a cup from the cabinet and poured a fresh cup of coffee. He sat there until an idea hit him like a fly ball. His eyes widened.
"Adriella, I need to talk to her. That's what a spirit watcher is for, right?" He told himself.
He slowly sipped on the coffee letting the warm liquid flow through him. He rose from the kitchen chair and looked around his place until he found a spare candle. His best option for now, would be meditation. He needed a few answers. There wasn't anyone on this plane of exisitance that would understand, but maybe she could help him. There was no way in hell he was going to talk to Jenna, she was the main problem. Right now she was nothing more than an enemy to him. She was just like the demons. He wouldn't harm her unless he had no other choice. He didn't wish to fight her, unless forced. The way he felt about her had his stomach in knots. Adriella will know what to do about this; she had to, he thought.
