Kamentsu No Yaiba

《][》

The Beautiful sound of the Taiko Drum.

Their sound Blaring through my entire body with each Strike.

There I was, standing on a stage with the others. Although I was alone, in the very back slamming my sticks against a massive drum infront of me.

The beautiful mix of our music made my body shutter as I continued to play a song. The other instruments of my peers continuing to play... but this wasn't from my heart...

All I was doing was following the sheet music... the music I was forced to study... the music that had been ingrained into my mind... I followed every beat I was told to play with perfection... An old song that had been preformed for years... it was an honor just to play the part as the head of this song... I kept the balance between my peers... I kept the pace... but as I continued... the sound of my peers slowly began to fade...

One by one... the other instruments that kept harmony in this ancient song faded from my mind... they continued to play... they needed to for this part of the song to be correct... but as the song came close to it's end... everything was placed on me...

A Drum Solo.

A seemless and beautiful string of Taiko for all to hear.

The song we played, known simply as,
神々の歌
Kamigami no Uta
The Song of The Gods

Preformed perfectly by those who reach adulthood, born on this sacred holiday, a song to appease and thank the Gods for all they have done for us.
A legend saying that those who fail their part of the song and obstruct it's beauty will be forever cursed...

But none of that mattered to me... the Gods had disowned me... and I've known that for a long time... I was only here because I was forced to be... and the fact that the Sound of the Taiko called me.

I loved it... The sound of the Drum... a Sound that was described in a single word... the sound of Hibiki.

As the song continued... the sound of the other instruments slowly faded, as I drew back my Sticks for only a moment... it was time for the Beautiful string of Taiko that made this song such a beautiful sound, this part of the song was sacred... it what made the Gods love this song...

But as my eyes closed shut... a breathe escaped my mouth... something else overtook me as a single thought went through my mind...

"This song is played so perfectly... and the only reason is through fear... I'm forced and kept in such a stright line through the same method... through fear... my creativity is shattered... but I don't fear the Gods... I know my life will soon come to an end... but If I will die... I won't do it living in fear..."

Throughout all my years of living... when this part came, I always saw it on the leads face when this part came... they paused... fear in their face... as they slowly raised their sticks... hoping they remembered when and how hard they should strike... so that the legend of the God's Curse wouldn't fall upon them...

But now... now that I stand in their place... I can feel it... I feel no fear of failure here... all my life I have been a fuck up... but now... If I'm going to be failure... If I'm already hated by the Gods... then I won't appease them with this song... I'll appease myself... I live by my own right...

In that moment I raised by Sticks as a single thought came to my mind.

"I'll Make This Song My Own.
I'll Be A God In My Own Right.
And If You Don't Like It?
Well To Bad...
I Refuse To Feel Fear Anymore."

On the top of a small Moutain, covered with trees and purple flowers.

An old, seemingly ancient shrine was seen at the very tip top of the mountain, the shine holding small statues and offerings to the Gods. Some looking new, while others looked very old. Birds were seen flying around, and even some terestrial animals were seen grazing past. This peak truly was a safe heaven for life as it flourished. A small red fox was seen scurring around the moutain, seemingly searching for something to eat. It walked through and between the trees, until it was close to the Shrine's front. It sniffed around, before seemingly noticing something. It quickly walked around the shrine sniffing the ground as it walked... until it came face to face with a very pale hand... it sniffed the hand... only for an odd unknown sent to radiate from it. What laid before the Fox was the full body of a Man lying there in the grass. His skin was pale, his hair a deep dark black, he wore odd tatered Japanese clothing. As the fox continued to sniff the man's hand... it suddenly twitched, quickly startling the fox and causing it to run off. The man then opened his eyes, revealing their odd Golden Color. The man didn't sit up from his position as he slowly looked around at the natural area around him... before he finally spoke, revealing his tired voice.

"Weird, I didn't expect Hell to look so pretty... Wait... is this even hell?"

The man then slowly rose up to his feet as he continued to look around in confusion, quickly revealing his full form.

Still confused the man continued to look around... when suddenly...

"NGH!"

An odd pain shot through the man's skull, as he held it in pain. Inside of the man's mind, imaged flashed, the image of himself standing above a metropolis. Of him and 6 other familiar figures standing before a divine yet undescribable being. The 7 of them all choosing different instruments, with the man himself picking up two drum sticks.

The pain then stopped as the man let go of his head... only to look down at his hands, seeing 4 objects inside of them both, all of them holding the same symbol.

The man held the object for a moment... staring at them with his same tired expression.

???: "So, You're the one who's been given the name Hibiki? Aren't you a bit shrimpy to be one of the 7 Sacred Oni?"

A voice suddenly spoke up, causing the man to quickly put his new items away, before turning around to face a new and odd figure that was seen standing in the sunlight, right outside of the shade of the trees that covered the mountain's peak.

"7 Sacred Oni?"

???: "Ah right... your memories must be quite misty from meeting the Great Gods. That is why I am here in the first place."

The old man said confusing the man as he glared at the old man.

"Who the hell are you? And what the hell are you talking about?"

The old man chuckled at this as he smiled happily.

???: "For who I am, I am simply known as a Tengu. And you... you my friend, are an Oni. Both of us Yokai, but we are both extremely different. I am seen as a Messager, a servant of the Gods, and you... you are seen as nothing more than a Moutain Demon. But your purpose, it's much more than that. You are one of the players of the God's Game."

"God's Game?"

Tengu: "HmHmHm! In your past Life, you did something, something that Impressed the Gods of our world, and upon your death, you were given a second chance. A chance to have an Almighty Wish Granted. You are the Mountain Oni of the Drums, and your new name, it's Hibiki."

"Hibiki?..."

Tengu: "... Hmm. Do you perhaps remember your old name, The one from your past life?"

"....... Y/n......"

Tengu: "So then, Y/n Hibiki, the Oni of the Drums. One of the 7 Instruments that make of The Song of the Gods."

Y/n: "This game... how do I win it? How do I get my wish?"

Tengu: "... Simple. You must decrease that number on your hand to from 7 to 1."

The Tengu said, causing Y/n to look at the palm of his hand, revealing a 7 made out of purple fire on the palm of his hand, surprising him a bit.

Tengu: "Once you do that, and you've gathered all the other Instruments of Ongeki, then all you need to do is play The Full Song Of The Gods, and once that's complete, you'll be able to make your Wish."

The Tengu explained, causing Y/n to think for a moment... before he realized what the Tengu ment.

Y/n: "So. I have to kill the 6 other Oni to get those instruments and play that song?"

The Tengu simply nodded before he continued to explain.

Tengu: "Don't think that will be easy. These Oni are just like you. And even then, there are many others who know about this game, others will seek the Almighty Wish of the Gods, people who are powerful will seek your Ongeki. So my suggestion, is to get stronger, and very quickly, or someone will easily end you."

The Tengu said with a smile, as Y/n nodded a bit.

Tengu: "Alright then, Hibiki. With that explained, my job here is finished."

Y/n: "Hold on, aren't you supposed to train me or something?"

Tengu: "Train you? HoHo, No. You see, you have been reborn now, but the Gods have given all of you a handicap. You have 5 Years, 5 whole years to train you mind and bodies before the real game can begin. Learn your natural abilites or gain new ones, arm yourself, make many allies or even enemies. There are those in this world that are strong, and will antagonize you, but in the end, your worst enemy, is not a Demon nor is it a Yokai, nor is it a Human with abnormal abilites... in the end, your worst enemy, is another Oni, and when the two of you come face to face, then there will be no compromise, there will be a fight, and that fight will be to the death."

*FWOOOSH!*

Suddenly, a powerful gust of wind blasted towards Y/n from behind Tengu, before a mass of Black Feathers appeared blocking Y/n's vision for a moment... and then in the blink of an eye, the Tengu was gone, replaced with a massive crow flying through the sky away from the moutain. Y/n watched the Bird Yokai fly off... but as he did, he closed his eyes, putting one of his hands close to his ears... as he did, he could hear the sound of Drums, beating in a rhythm that sounded Unique in it's own odd way.

"A song that sounds divine... yet nothing special... it sounds like the pedeling of a bike, or the old rumbling engine of a small truck... the song of a Messenger.
An old Crow Spirit... the God's Lapdog."

The man turned Oni said to himself before he opened his eyes, seeing that the Tengu had dissapeared from sight, but his song could still be heard.

Y/n thoughts: "... My father taught me, that every being in this world, alive or not, is born along with their own Song. That Song starts our basic, but slowly grows more dynamic and complex as time goes on. And that the complex web of life, makes a Neverending Orchestra. I've never been able to hear those songs before... but now I can... the melody of the trees, the grass, and everything around me..."

Y/n said before looking up at the tree leaves that casted their shadows over him.

Y/n: "So... this is one of the powers of a Sacred Oni?"

The man asked before looking down at his palm, seeing the burning seven on his hand before it slowly faded away.

Y/n: "... An Almighty Wish... one granted by the Gods of this World..."

Y/n mumbled to himself once again as memories of his past life flashed through his mind for a moment. Then with a sigh he began walking away from where he awoken, out from the shadows of the trees that covered the peak of the mountain. As he walked out of the trees shadows, he quickly noticed that he felt physically weaker while in the light of the sun, looking down at himself, he was easily able to see that in the Sun's Light, his skin had turned from a very light pale, to an odd light tan color.

Y/n thoughts: "So... I'm at my strongest under the cover of darkness... I still feel strong... but this weakness might cause a problem in the future... I should only be fighting when it's dark..."

Y/n said to himself as he continued walking down the mountain.

Y/n: "... I've got 5 Years to train before I Hunt down the other 6 Oni... or until they Hunt me down... I've gotta make every second count."

In the dead of Night, the moon was seen high in the sky, full and shinning brightly over a snow covered forest below it. The night was calm, as the forest was silent, but that silence was interrupted as a young boy was seen with a basket on his back, slowly making his way through the moonlit forest. The boy didn't seem to be bothered by the cold of the forest, despite his visible breathe as he trudged through the snow.

*Snap!*

The boy then stopped for a moment, looking down as he saw that he snapped a twig with his foot, but quickly shrugged this off as he kept on walking... but now as he did, a figure shifted from the background... a mass frost being kicked up as it slowly followed the boy.

Boy Thoughts: "I wasted far to much time in the village... it's so late. Everyone's probably worried about me. I need to get back quic-"

"Ggrrrppphhhh..."

Suddenly, an odd sound was heard from behind the boy, quickly causing him to freeze up as if the cold had suddenly began affect him.

Boy Thoughts: "Th-That sound... I-It sounded like a bear... If... If I just lie down and play dead... th-then it should leave me alone..."

The boy throught to himself as he slowly turned around, expecting to see a bear walking past a couple feet away from him... but he was extremely wrong... as a large figure stood directly behind him... slowly looking up from the bottom to the top of the bipedal beast... only for his eyes to widen in a mass of shock when he saw it's face...

"Ggggggrrrrrrr..."

Boy Thoughts: "A-A-A M-Monster!?"

*THOOOM!*

???: "AAAHHH!!!"

Suddenly the monster slwoly raised one of it's red fists into the air, before trying to slam it down on and crush the boy, but the boy quickly jumped out of the way, but his basket wasn't so lucky as it was easily caught and easily destroyed by the beast's attack. The boy held his hands over his head as he laid there in the snow... only to slwoly look back at where he once stood... only for his eyes to widen as he saw the ground indented with little to no trace of his destroyed basket.

Boy thoughts: "N-No way... w-what is this thing? I-It can't be some sort of animal... has this thing been living on the moutain with us all this time?... It must be a monster... it just tried to kill me... I-I need to get out of here!"

The boy quickly thought before he scrambled onto his feet and began running away, but seeing this only angered the monster.

"GGGRRRAAAHHHHH!!!"

The beast roared before it landed on his hands and began running after the boy on all fours, shaking the ground under it as it chased, an aura of malice around it as it was ready to kill the young boy who had unfortunately stumbled onto it's territory. The boy kept on running as the beast came closer and closer to him... when suddenly the monster slammed one of it's palms onto the ground, causing the snow it touched to quickly freeze into ice, and as soon as the boy's foot hit the ground again, it was instantly frozen up to the ankle, quickly catching the boy and causing him to fall onto his face.

Boy: "AGH!"

Boy thoughts: "N-No! It froze my leg! Agh! My ankle!"

"Grrrrr!"

Suddenlt the boy froze up again as the beast stood above him once again, it then lifted up it's right hand and moved it over it's mouth, causing a mass of ice to form around it's hand, taking the shape of a massive blade. Seeing this scared the boy even more as his breathing began raged with fear. The beast then slowly raised it's blade hand high into the air, seeing this made the boy fear for the worst as he held his hands over his face and cried out in panic as the monster's blade came crashing down.

*FWOOO-*

*PatPatPatPatPat!*

*Shin-*

*CRASH!*

"T-Tch! D-Damn!"

As the only pain the boy felt was in his ankle, he opened his eyes in confusion at this new voice, only to be shocked as he saw a man standing there, a old a beaten katana in his hand as he held back the monster's massive blade of ice.

Y/n: "GRRR! Piss... OFF!"

*BLAM!*

Struggling to hold the beast back, Y/n quickly lifted his right foot and slammed it into the beast's chest, sending it stumbling back a bit. It growled at Y/n as he took a deep breathe, gripping his brittle old and dull katana blade. The boy was shocked to see Y/n standing there as he got into a battle ready stance with his blade, Y/n then turned back towards the boy a calm look on his face.

Y/n: "Don't worry. Everything will be fine."

The boy went to talk back, but his voice was silent as the beast roared once again, quickly grabbing Y/n's attention as he turned back towards the beast, tightening the grip on his blade.

Y/n thoughts: "This swords gone dull... and it's about to snap... if I didn't angle that last block right, then this thing would have just snapped the blade and crushed us both... I'll just have to deal with things quickly!"

Y/n thought to himself as he quickly dashed towards the beast his blade in hand ready to strike. The monster tried to slam Y/n with a horizontal slash of it's blade arm, but Y/n was easily able to duck under the attack, before he plunged his dull sword into the flesh of the beast, causing it to let out a roar of pain as the monster's Crimson blood spewed out of the wound. The beast quickly raised it's frozen sword of a hand and got ready to slam it down on Y/n. The man quickly tried to rip his sword out of the beast... but it's odd mixture of muscles and fat were too strong against the dull and brittle blade, keeping it stuck inside.

Y/n thoughts: "DAMMIT STUPID SWORD!"

Boy: "LOOK OUT!"

The boy yelled as the beast's arm began falling down towards Y/n, ready to crush his body. But timed seemed to slow down for a moment as Y/n closed his eyes and took a deep breath... as he did he could heard the drum beats coming from both the young boy and the monster infront of him.

Y/n thoughts:
"Hibiki...
First Verse...
No Bachi Style..."

Y/n then quickly reeled back his right hand as he held it out ready for a powerful palm strike attack... but as he let the breath he took in, out, a small spark of Purple Flames appeared in the palm of Y/n's hand.

*FWOOO-*

*TING!*

Y/n Thoughts:
"KIBŌJUTSU:
PALM STRIKE!"

*TTHHOOOOMM!*

Y/n then slammed the flat side of his blade with his palm, causing that small purple flame to explode around his hand as he perfectly broke his sword, freeing himself from the flesh of the monster, allowing himself to jump away as it slammed it's blade like arm onto the ground where Y/n once stood. As Y/n landed he tossed his broken sword into the air, quickly catching it in his right hand, revealing that the dull blade had been shortened into something smaller than a dagger... but there was still a blade there... and that much was all Y/n needed. The boy stared in awe as Y/n got back into a sword stance, taking a deep breathe once again as the monster turned towards him, getting ready to strike.

Y/n: "Hibiki: Second Verse. One Bachi Sword Style."

As Y/n said this, a mass of Purple Flames exploded from his hand and surrounded his right hand, causing his broken dagger of a Katana to be replenish with the bright purple flames. Seeing this made the boy eyes wide with shock and awe at this odd power. The beast then charged at Y/n as the man charged right back. The Ice Monster swung it's massive blade, but this time, attacking Low so that he couldn't duck under it, although in the end this change in strategy didn't matter whatsoever, as Y/n easily jumped over the blade, but as soon as hit feet hit the ground again, he jumped right back up into the air, with his sword raised high above his head.

Y/n: "YOU'RE DONE, NAMAHAGE!
KIBŌJUTSU:
REKKAKEN!"

*GGGLLLAAAFFFWOOSSSSHHHHIING!!!*

As Y/n fell to the ground, he slashed with his sword of flames, the blaze easily going through the Frost Monster, or Namahage's body as a large slash/burn mark appeared on it's chest and back. A mass of steam then came out of the cut... as it opened revealing the other side of the forest that was blocked by the monster's body.

Boy thoughts: "N-No way... that was amazing... a Blade that dull and broken... was easily able to cute a right through that monster's tough flesh... and that flame... it was strong enough to able to slice right though and make a hole out of the monster's torso..."

The Namahage then let out a low growl... before it fell face first onto the face first... lying there limp... killed by Y/n's technique. The flames around Y/n's broken blade then died down and faded away... revealing that Y/n's hand looked somewhat different before turning back into a normal human hand. The boy continued to stare in a mass of shock and awe as the man went to sheath his sword... only to remember how broken it was as he then just tossed the broken blade, not even fit to be a dagger aside.

《Short Timeskip》

*Chink! Chink! Chink! CRACH!*

Y/n: "There we go. That should be the last of the ice."

Boy: "Thank you very much si- NGH!"

*THUD!*

Y/n had used his sheath to break the ice covering the boy's leg, freeing him... but as soon as the boy tried to stand up, he felt a mass of pain in his leg, only to fall back onto his butt. Y/n then sighed as he looked at the boy with his still tired expression.

Y/n: "Can't walk, can ya Kid?"

Boy: "N-No! I can walk just fine! There no more need to help m-GAH!"

*Thud!*

Y/n: "*Sigh* Yeah. Whatever you say kiddo..."

《Short Timeskip》

The crush of snow was all the was heard as Y/n was seen walking through the forest, carrying the injured boy on his back, who had a sprained ankle.

Boy: "... Thank you... but you really didn't have to do this for me. You should be more worried about your own injures, not mine."

Y/n: "Heheh... you're one kind kid, but, I'm not injured at all. Didn't even get a scratch from that Namahage."

Boy: "But, I can smell the sent of blood on you."

Y/n: "Yeah, that isn't my blood."

Boy: "O-Oh..."

Y/n: "Don't jump to conclusions. You aren't the first stupid kid I had to save from a monster today.... Speaking of stupid, the hell are you doing in the middle of a Moutain's Forest in the middle of a night?"

Boy: "A-Actually... I was heading home... my family sells charcoal to the nearby town. I was coming back from selling our latest batch. But I got distracted helping some of the people... and by the time I was done, it was already late."

Y/n: "Hmm... how old are you again?"

Boy: "11... but I'm the oldest of my siblings, so I have to make these trips!"

Y/n: "I guess that makes sense... but you should be more careful. Yokai like that Namahage... and even worse things... are way more active at night."

Y/n thoughts: "This kid is too kind for his own good... it's gonna get him killed one of these days..."

The man said and thought , causing the boy to nod as Y/n continued making his way through the Moutain's Forest... after a minute of Silence, the boy the realized something.

Boy: "... My name's Tanjiro Kamado. What's yours?"

Y/n: "... Hibiki..."

Tanjiro: "Hibiki? Just Hibiki?"

Y/n nodded as Tanjiro continued.

Tanjiro: "... Hibiki-san... what exactly was that monster."

Y/n: "That was a Yokai. A Namahage to be exact."

Tanjiro: "But, I thought yokai were just legends and stories made to scare kids."

Y/n: "Stories and Legends have to be born from something, now don't they?"

Tanjiro hummed in agreement, as he rethought some things knowing this and seeing the Namahage he had thought was only in stories before... before he realized something else.

Tanjiro: "... When you were fighting the Namahage, your breathing changed, and you summoned this odd purple fire in your palm and you made a sword out of it too."

Y/n: "That was Kibōjutsu, also known as Demon Club Technique. Humans have the ability to use a Technique known as Breathing Styles, and certain creatures use their own Blood to Empower themselves. After observing these two techniques, I combined the two, creating Hibiki Kibōjutsu."

Tanjiro: "You said... are you not human?"

Y/n: "Nope... in fact, I'm just like that Namahage. I am a Yokai, except I am an Oni, an Ongeki Oni to be specific."

Hearing this suprised Tanjiro, but he wasn't scared of Y/n... just shocked at this news.

Tanjiro: "You're an Oni? But you don't have any Horns or Red or Blue Skin."

Y/n: "Well... this is just my Human Form. My real Oni form is much different. It's a a lot more fitting of the Stories, but I can assure you, that I am a Yokai."

Tanjiro: "Well, I'm glad to have met a Yokai as nice as you."

Y/n: "Heh! Trust me kid. No Yokai are nice, not even me."

Tanjiro was going to retort, when suddenly the two of them heard a new voice as they had found themselves outside of the forest.

"TANJIRO!"

Suddenly, the two had found themselves infront of the Kamado household as an older woman that Tanjiro bared resemblance to appeared with a worried look on her face.

Tanjiro: "Mother..."

T. Mother: "Where have you been?"

Tanjiro: "I got carried away helping people in town... and on the way back I was attacked by a Namahage, it froze my leg and I sprained by ankle, but Hibiki-san saved my life."

T. Mother: "A Namahage?"

Tanjiro explained, quickly confusing his mother as Y/n sighed.

Y/n: "I'm on a journey to see the peak of every mountain, and I just to happened to find your boy being chased by a large bear. It was very aggressive and it's face looked disfigured, so I believe it just escaped being hunted and came here to heal it's wounds. I'm guessing it's battle scars reminded your son of how a Namahage looks. He tripped over a frozen root, and  Miraculously I was able to kill the beast. Now we're here."

Tanjiro was suprised by the lie Y/n had told, but said lie worked it's magic as the mother believed it. Thank yous were quickly exchanged, as the woman introduced herself as Kie Kamado, then with her help, Tanjiro was taken off of Y/n's back and now stood by his mother's side as she helped him to walk with his injured ankle... but as Y/n turned to leave...

Kie: "Hibiki-san, please rest here for the night. You must be tired from your journey up the moutain, and giving you a warm bed and food is the least I can do you saving my son."

Y/n: ".... I appreciate the offer... but I have to decline it, Sorry."

Tanjiro: "But Hibiki-san! You must stay! It's the least we can do!"

Tanjiro pressured, as Kie nodded, causing Y/n to let out an even heavier sigh than before.

Y/n: "You guys are too kind... and I don't mean that in a good way."

Y/n said, suprising the two a bit.

Y/n: "Kindness is a virtue, that much is true. But too much of anything can turn a Blessing into a Curse... so what I'm saying is being kind to someone is fine... but if you have too much...

Y/n then held up his hands to his forehead, before pointing his index fingers towards the sky, causing said figures to resemble horns, this gesture confused both Kamados for a moment... but Tanjiro quickly realized what it ment.

Y/n: "Then That Kindness will get you killed."

Y/n then lowered his hands as thoughts quickly rushed through Tanjiro's mind.

Tanjiro thoughts: "Y/n is an Oni... a Yokai... and he can take a Human Form... does that mean... other Yokai and Monsters... that they can do the same?"

Kie: "I can understand your concern Hibiki-san. But if you're even in the region, and need anything, please don't be afraid to ask us, the Kamado family is indebted to you."

Y/n: "Thank you. I'll be sure to remember that."

Y/n said before he began walking off, giving a small wave towards the two of them.

Y/n: "Ja ne!"
[Basically seeya in Japanese]

The two then gave their own wave before they went back inside their home... but as they went, Tanjiro looked back at Y/n, an odd but easy to remember purple sent radiating off of him... but that sent was mixed with that of the blood of the Namahage... and the blood of another monster... but this sent was much more sinister than the Yokai that was just killed... but as he saw Y/n via sent... for a moment, Tanjiro swore he saw Y/n's form change into that more fitting of the Oni Legend with two small horns sprouting out of his head and drumsticks in hand.

Meanwhile, as Y/n walked off, he closed his eyes and focused.

"Their song is warm... similar to the song of the Sun... one that radiates kindess, caring and sympathy above all else... that kindness... it will be both their upbringing and their downfall..."

As Y/n finished listening to their song, he opened his eyes back up, and continued his way up to the top of the mountain.

Y/n: "2 Years... it's been 2 years since I was reborn into this world... 3 more... and the game will begin... I'll become both the Hunter, seeking out the other Ongeki... and the hunted..."

Y/n said as the image of 3 of the 6 other Onis' human forms appeared.

The first being a man with odd spiky hair and what looked to be 4 long spikes coming out of his back, holding what looked to be a Guitar in his hands.

The second being a man wearing old yet traditional Japanese clothing, with a trumpet in hand as a mass of Butterfly flew around him.

And the third being a man alone among a mass of beautiful trees as women surrounded him, with an umbrella hanging over his shoulder obscuring his form.

Those images then faded, as a new one appeared...

[ENDING SONG]
