It had been two days since Ariel and Grey's mind link strengthened, and they had gotten used to it.

It was exciting for them to be able to talk to each other in a room full of people, without others knowing what they were saying.

“Hey, wake up,” Ariel said softly.

She had been up for a while and had even taken her bath. She did not want to go downstairs and leave her soulmate behind, so she decided to wait for him to wake up but it had been a while now and Grey did not want to wake up at all.

Grey grumbled something that made Ariel smile 

“Wake up now”, Ariel said again. 

“One more minute,” Grey murmured without opening his eyes. 

“Stop behaving like a toddler and get up,” Ariel said, nudging him, however, Grey did not open his eyes.

Ariel stood up from the bed when she had an idea of what to do. She rushed into the bathroom and carried out a bowl of water.

“Wake up, Grey. I'm warning you,” Ariel said.

Grey did not even stir. He ignored her words as he continued to sleep.

Ariel moved closer to him and splashed cold water on him.

Grey jolted out of the mattress with force. 

“Ariel! “Grey shouted.

Ariel was busy laughing hard at Grey. “I warned you,” she said, slightly out of breath from laughing.

Grey shook his head and moved closer to Ariel, wanting to hug her.

“No, don't hug me,” Ariel whined quickly. “I have taken my bath already,” she added 

Her words did not stop Grey from wrapping his arms around her and wetting her dry clothes.

“Grey!” Ariel whined.

“Good morning,” he said as he kissed her softly. 

“Good morning to you too,” Ariel said in an excited tone.

“You look truly cheerful today,” Grey said, staring at Ariel's joyful expression. “Is anything happening?” Grey asked. 

“Not really,” Ariel said with a smile. 

“Okay.”

Grey watched Ariel as she moved to her drawer to look for what to wear since her clothes were moist.

“What are you doing?” Grey asked. 

“Looking for what to wear,” Ariel said without glancing at Grey.

“Let's take a bath”, Grey said. 

“I have already taken my bath,” Ariel responded.

“Then take another one,” Grey suggested 

Ariel turned to look at her soulmate with an amused expression. “How can I take two baths in two hours? It is crazy,” she added.

“No, it's not,” Grey stated as he pulled Ariel with him into the bathroom and shut the door behind them.

“You are crazy,” Ariel whispered. 

“Yes, about you,” Grey murmured, sealing their lips together. They made out for a while before Grey turned the shower on. 

When they were done bathing, they left their bedroom and headed downstairs.

“I thought you guys wanted to remain in your bedroom all day,” Elena said with a smile as she glanced at them.

Ariel rolled her eyes, making Elena laugh. 

“Come sit, you two,” Elena said. 

Grey and Ariel moved to the dining table and had their breakfast. When they were done, they joined the rest of the family in the living room.

Ariel looked to her left and saw her Uncle sitting alone.

“I will be right back,” she said to Grey as she walked up to her Uncle.

“Hey,” Michael greeted her. 

“Hi!” Ariel answered, sitting next to him. 

“You look happy these days,” Michael said with a smile.

Ariel looked at Grey and smiled when she saw Grey watching her.

“Look at you,” Michael said with a chuckle. “It's good to know you have somebody to stay by your side forever,” Michael added with a smile. 

“Yes.”

Michael nodded his head as he remained silent.

“You look less distant,” Ariel pointed out.

She had noticed that her Uncle tended to spend more time with the family and he often had a smile on his face.

Michael raised his eyebrows at Ariel. “I never knew you noticed,” Michael said. 

“What do you mean by that?” Ariel queried with a smile. “Of course, I noticed,” she said with a chuckle.

“I thought you only had eyes for your soulmate,” Michael pointed out. 

“I do,” Ariel said. “But that does not mean I will not know what's going on around me.”

“True,” Michael said.

“I like it when you look relaxed and smile,” Ariel said.

“I will try to do it more often,” Michael said as he gave Ariel a beautiful smile.

“Okay,” Ariel said, nodding her head

“I will take your leave now,” she said, glancing at Grey. 

“Sure,” Michael said. “By all means,” he added with a laugh.

Ariel stood up and walked back to Grey. 

Grey instantly wrapped his arms around her as Ariel settled next to him.

“What's going on in the movie?” Ariel asked. 

Grey explained to her and after that Ariel focused her attention on the movie.

After a few minutes, Grey tried to get Ariel's attention by brushing his leg against Ariel's.

Ariel felt Grey's leg brush over hers but she ignored it and centered her attention on the movie.

Grey frowned a little when Ariel refused to look at him, so he did it again but still, Ariel did not respond.

He did it again, making it more obvious, but Ariel remained very adamant.

Ariel was trying hard not to crack a smile. Her attention was no longer on the movie because she was finding it difficult to concentrate on the movie when Grey's leg was brushing over hers.

She remained quiet as Grey tried more to get her attention. 

‘Talk to me,’ Grey thought.

Ariel heard him but she refused to reply to him. 

"Ariel!"

"What?" Ariel finally answered him.

"I was trying to get your attention," Grey said.

"Sorry, I did not hear you," Ariel said as she attempted to appear serious.

"You heard me," Grey pointed out 

"No," Ariel spoke back 

"Yes." 

"No." 

Ariel could no longer keep up with a serious face. She burst into laughter, making Grey laugh too. 

Their laughter caught the attention of their family.

“They are at it again,” Elena said with a mild chuckle.

Their household had gotten used to them laughing or responding to matters via their “Mind Link”.

They no longer found it weird when the two of them speak through their mind link.

“Now you have my attention. What is it you want?” Ariel asked Grey, giving her full attention. 

“You,” Grey stated bluntly.

Ariel blushed hard at Grey's words. 

“Me,” Ariel said, attempting to remain calm 

“Yes, you,” Grey leaned down close to her ears and whispered. “All of you,” he said softly. 

A shiver ran through Ariel's spine at Grey's words. 

Grey looked at Ariel and raised his eyebrow at her. 

“Stop,” Ariel said, grinning excessively. 

“Why?” Grey asked. 

“You know the reason,” Ariel said, still smiling. 

“No, I don't,” Grey stated. 

“Yes, you do. You know how I find that act of yours cute,” Ariel said.

Grey smiled. “I wanted to hear you say that,” he leaned down and kissed her cheek. “Should we go upstairs?” he asked. 

“Yes,” Ariel replied softly. 

“Let's go.” 

Before they stood up, they noticed a very bright glimmer in the living room, making Grey and Ariel look in the direction of the light.

“The messenger Angels,” Raguel whispered.
