Grey landed in the living room alongside the Angels.

“Demons fly slow,” Ariel said teasingly.

“Sorry, but I don't have wings,” Grey said, smiling at her.

“Ariel!” Her mom called out to her as she snatched her daughter from Grey and hugged her tightly. However, Ariel groaned in pain which made Elena step back a little and look at her daughter properly. “Oh my God!” Elena exclaimed.

“What have they done to you?” she asked, shaking her head at her daughter's appearance.

Raphael, without any delay, got to her side. “I will heal her now,” he said as he placed his hand on each part of her body that was sore, and Ariel instantly felt relief from the pain she had been going through.

Maria hugged her granddaughter and she pulled her husband into a hug too but Samuel groaned in pain.

“Are you hurt?” Maria questioned, checking her husband's body.

“A little,” he replied. 

Raphael quickly moved to his friend's side and healed his wound too.

“I'm so glad you are home, dear,” Anna said, smiling at her.

“All thanks to you,” Elena said. “I'm genuinely grateful,” she added.

“You don't need to thank me. She is my son's soulmate and she is also like a daughter to me,” Anna said, smiling at Ariel.

Ariel shifted her gaze between her Mom and Anna; she was confused about what they were saying but she didn’t have enough strength in her to ask questions.

“You need to rest,” Elena said concernedly.

“You too,” Anna said to Grey 

“Mom, I'm...”

“Fine, Anna completed his statement. You are always fine, Grey. Take your soulmate with you and go upstairs. Rest,” Anna said authoritatively. 

Grey smiled at his Mom as he led the way upstairs to the bedroom.

“Let's take a bath first,” Ariel suggested.

“Okay.” 

Grey led Ariel into the bathroom and she gazed at her soulmate lovingly.

“Take off my clothes,” she whispered.

Grey smiled at her and moved closer to her. He placed smooth kisses on her lips and trailed light kisses on her neck as he eliminated each of her garments until she had no clothes on.

Ariel removed Grey's clothes too and pulled him into a kiss as soon as she finished disposing off his clothes.

Grey held her tightly as he kissed his soulmate.

“I missed this,” Grey murmured, kissing her deeply. 

Ariel gladly welcomed all his kisses, and held Grey tightly. She felt Grey slow down the kiss. She protested by gripping Grey's waist and kissed him hard.

Grey kissed back but withdrew himself quickly.

“Grey,” Ariel whined.

Grey chuckled softly. “I want this too,” he said. 

“Then come get it,” Ariel said, attempting to pull Grey back into the kiss.

“You need to rest Ariel,” Grey said worriedly.

“But...”

“No buts. We can do this later,” Grey said.

“Okay,” Ariel said half-heartedly.

Grey turned on the shower. They washed each other up and exited the bathroom when they were done.

Grey led Ariel to the mattress and they both laid down. Ariel snuggled into Grey's side.

“I have a question to ask,” Ariel said between yawns.

Grey looked at her. He could see she was barely keeping her eyes open.

“Let's talk about it when you wake up,” Grey suggested.

Ariel did not protest. She was too tired and she needed to sleep. It did not take long before she drifted off.

Grey looked at her lovingly before his eyelids became heavy and he floated off to sleep too.

Grey woke up first. He looked down at Ariel who was sleeping peacefully. He smiled widely at her. He was so grateful she was alright. He could not imagine a life without her. He kissed her softly before he stood up from the mattress, left the room, and headed downstairs.

Elena looked at Grey as soon as he entered the living room.

“How is she?” Elena asked.

“She is fine, and she is still snoozing,” Grey answered.

Elena nodded her head. “I will go check on her,” she said as she stood up, left the living room, and headed for Ariel's bedroom.

Grey sat next to his mother who pulled him into a hug.

“I'm happy you are completely fine now,” Anna said softly.

“You made that possible, Mom,” Grey answered.

Anna nodded her head; “I understand your desire to ask questions,” she said, making Grey nod his head. “I will tell you everything tomorrow. I promise,” she added.

“Thanks, Mom.”

Anna kissed her son softly on his forehead.

“You have to eat something,” she stated after a minute.

“I will, when Ariel wakes up,” Grey said. 

“Okay.”

Both sat in silence without saying anything to each other. Grey wanted to go upstairs to meet his soulmate however, he remembered that Elena was upstairs with her daughter. 

“I will just have to give them time together. Elena looked so broken when her daughter was captured,” Grey whispered to himself.

 
Grey relaxed in his mother's arms as he waited for the time to pass.

Ariel woke up and felt a body pressed on her side. She knew the physique did not belong to Grey even without opening her eyes. 

Her heart paced up, thinking maybe she had been captured again.  She jolted out of the mattress with force which caused her to fall down.

“Ariel!” Elena cried out as she hurried to her daughter's side. 

“Mom,” Ariel stated as she looked at her environment and sighed in solace when she saw she was in her room.

“Are you alright?” Elena asked, assisting her daughter to get up from the floor. 

“Yes, Mom,” Ariel replied as she sat on the bed with her Mom, giving her a beautiful smile.

“I'm happy you are back home,” Elena said. 

“Me too,” Ariel said as she rested her head on her mother's shoulder.

“You need to eat something,” Elena said, making Ariel nod her head. “I will bring food to you and Grey. He has not eaten anything since you left,” Elena added. “I have never seen anybody this heartbroken before. He refused to talk to anybody,” she shook her head. “I'm just happy you are here now.” She kissed her daughter's cheek. “I will go get the food,” she finally added and left the room.

It did not even take a minute before Grey came back to the room after Elena left.

Ariel smiled widely at him as he sat next to her.

“Hi,” he said softly to her 

“Hey,” Ariel said as she kissed him gently.

They later heard a knock on the door, and Elena entered with food for them.

“Thanks, Mom,” Ariel said as she watched her mother leave. “I was told you have not eaten,” Ariel said. 

Grey shrugged. “I will eat, now that you are here with me,” he said with a smile.

Ariel returned the smile and they both ate silently.

When they were done eating, they both took the plates to the kitchen, washed them, and went back to their bedroom.

“How are you feeling?” Grey asked.

“I'm good,” Ariel replied. 

“You said you wanted to ask me a question?” Grey queried. 

“Yes,” Ariel answered, remembering her question. 

“So, what's it?” Grey questioned. 

“Was Erna your girlfriend?” Ariel asked back. 

“What?” Grey started, sitting up. “No,” he answered instantly. “Why did you ask that?” Grey was puzzled. 

“It's because she said so,” Ariel answered in a weak voice.

“That girl meant nothing to me. She tried on several instances to seduce me. However, I did not give in,” Grey said. “She was so annoying,” he added.

Ariel was cozy with Grey's reply. She was happy about it. 

“Why did you stop me from killing my brother?” Grey asked. 

“Because he is your brother,” Ariel said. “Even though what he did was bad, he is still your brother,” she added.

Grey nodded his head in understanding.

“How did you guys find me?” Ariel asked. “I remember Josh telling me nobody can find that place,” she added.

“That I do not know,” Grey said.

Ariel gave him a confused frown.

“My Mom told us where to locate you,” Grey said.

“How?” Ariel questioned. 

“I do not know but she promised to tell me everything tomorrow, so I will have to wait,” Grey said.

Ariel now understood why her Mom was thanking Anna when she returned.

“Anyway, you promised me something,” Ariel said.

“What?” Grey asked with a smile. 

“This,” Ariel said as she pulled Grey into a kiss. She kissed him hard and held onto him as she continued to kiss him.

Grey flipped them over on the mattress and pressed his weight slightly on her body as he trailed kisses all over her.

Ariel enjoyed every second as she gripped his waist.

“I love you,” she said. 

She didn't even know when the phrase left her mouth, however, she was aware Grey heard her because he went still. But she meant every word she stated. 

“I love you too,” Grey said, smiling. 

“Mine,” Ariel whispered softly. 

“Yours, always,” Grey murmured as he pulled her into a pleasurable kiss.
