*~*Kat's POV*~*
I make my way to Dj's which is a few blocks down from my home. If you have wondered why my friend is named Dj it's because his real name is Durf Jr. and when we were little I just started calling him Dj for short, So that is the name he started going by. Also he is a part time Dj*(cool coincidence)*.I am almost at Dj's house I can see it among the other houses. It's a big blue home*(two story's exactly)*. I walk down his driveway to his front porch and ring the door bell. His mother answers the door. "Hi Mrs.Long how are you today,I came to ask if I could spend a night or two with you guys" I say with a big smile. "Oh I'm fine sugar,come on in and Dj is in his room" she says. Shes unconditional happy today. "Ok thanks Mrs. Long."I start up the stairs to Dj's room. I look down the hall to find a door that's black with a pairs of headphones and skulls all over it. This is Dj's room. Then just before I could knock on his door Dj's big brother Drake comes up to me. "Hey there Kat....so whatcha doing?" He asks. He leans on Dj's door right in front of me. Great now I have to talk. "Umm....I just came to stay a night or two" I say. "Well you should hang out with me instead" he says with confidence. Crap,now what do I say? "Umm....I-I don't k-know if I....um...should"I stutter and blush. Great now I sound and look nervous,which I am but I'm not here to hang out with Drake. I don't even like him." You really should" he stats. He try's to look cool by leaning more then ends up falling on the floor face first. Dj hears this ruckus through the music he was listening to and instantly runs to the door. Dj opened the door to find Drake on the floor. "Dude what are you doing"Dj asks him. Then Dj looks up at me and looks thrilled to see me. "Oh hi Kat"he says."Hi Dj!!" I say excitedly. "Drake get off the floor and leave...Now!!"Dj yells. "Ok man you don't have to yell"drake gets up and leaves to his room but turns to wink at me. I blush.
*~*Drakes POV*~*
I get up off the floor and head for my room but I just have to look at Kat's pretty face one more time. So I wink at her and get a glare from my bro. She blushes, that's cute. I walk into my room, which is so boring. What's a eighteen year old supposed to do in a shitty house like this. I need to get my own place but mom says no. She needs to get through her head that I'm an adult now.
*~*Dj's POV*~*
I watch Drake leave and then he winks at Kat so I look at him like I'm saying..Get the hell away..
I let Kat in my room and close the door. She throws her bag on my bed and a teddy bear." That bear is for you,So Dj what have you been doing lately" she asks me. I lay down on my bed and hold the bear with some CDs I collected that were on my bed and headphones around my neck.(Tap the pic above to see what this looked like,I own none of the pictures on here they are just an example for the story, they all have rightful owners.)"Well the usual, listening to my songs and checking out some CDs my buds gave me" I say. "That's cool" she adds. She sits down on a beanbag in the corner of the room. What's wrong with her. Well what ever it is I'll get it out of her. "Hey...umm Kat...you should listen to this mix I made..please" I say.
*~*Kat's POV*~*
I sit on a the beanbag in the corner. I look down and start thinking to myself. "Hey....umm Kat...you should listen to this mix I made...please" Dj says. He walk over to me and sits right in front on me while holding out his headphones. "Um ok" I say while taking the headphones. The headphones are plugged into his phone. "Ok here it is"he say while pressing the play button. It starts playing and it sounds amazing. I can't believe he did this.(the video above is a song and it's an example of what Dj's mix could have sounded like,ounce again it has its rightful owner)
"Wow Dj....t-that was..marvelous!!" I say. I give him the headphones back and his face turns a pink-red color. "Thanks Kat, that means a lot to me." He can be so sweet at times. This is why he's my best friend. He's about to get up but before he can I wrap my arms around him. He is surprised but hugs back and I feel the heat from his face on my shoulder.
