"Throw me to the wolf's,
and I will return running
the pack."

The streets ran red with blood. The smell of their victims filled my lungs as I breathed it all in. The sent was.... fresh.....
to fresh!
They had started to become careless with their victims, leaving their bodies scared for Ravenhurst to Velarea. We had been trailing them around for days, waiting to find the rest of there little blood sucking crusade.
I use to believe that we were like "them". That we would kill as "they" did. Not just for survival, but for the thrill of the chase and the rush of adrenalin coursing through our veins. Then after you've played around with them for a bit, you take them in your arms and bite into their skin, drinking away what little life they have left tell there nothing but a bag of bones waiting for the grave.
It's as morbid as it sounds. But that was how things were around here. Those who lurked in the shadows and went bump in the night were not myths. We were nothing more than an abomination to humanity, but at the same time we were it's salvation. For year's we would defend the human's, riding the world of their worst nightmares. But that didn't mean I wasn't one of them.
" So do you think Claudius would mind if we just finish them off now and go for pizza? I haven't eaten since noon and i'm dying here man. How long is this supposed to take?" Jackson said with a growl as he perched up on top of the clock tower. His looked bored, his body was hunched as he stared down impatiently at the world below.
I would have replied to him had I not seen what it was we were sent out here to find.
Without a word I stood up and jumped down off the roof. I fell quietly to the gray gravel street's below. No one noticed me jump down from the building and no one hurd me make a sound as my feet hit the hard pavement. Everyone was too busy doing there own thing's that I didn't even have to try and hide.
I quickly watched as the four men made their way through a crowd of people tell they broke away and walked down a dark and deserted path away from everyone else.
I followed them keeping my distance and staying in the shadows. Jackson was following behind me on top of the building above.
The four men were tall and muscular, with black jackets that fell down around their knees. They were definitely blind when it came to fashion sense.
They continued to walk away from the main street and down a long and narrow path tell one of them stopped and looked to left and right side of him.
" Raz what is it? What's wrong?" One of the guys asked as he looked in the same direction as where I was hiding in the shadows.
" Nothing. I thought I heard something". Raz said shaking his head.
" Should we check it out? What if someone's following us?" A younger boy asked as he looked back in my direction but couldn't see me thru the dark shadows that hid me from them.
" Nonsense! If someone was following us, i'd know!" Raz said turning to face the boy with a look full of uncontrollable rage.
" Of course, my apologies." The boy said looking down to the ground in obedience to Raz.
Raz walked ahead as the other's followed, body chucking the kid as the kid waited for them to pass, then stepped in line behind them.
I felt bad, the kid didn't deserve what was coming for him and I didn't want to be the one who had to follow threw with these orders. But orders are orders and I was in no position to defy them. Even if I hated them!
I waited a bit then continued to follow them till they turned one last corner into a dark spooky town square. Then I heard something and so did they. We all stopped and I hid deeper in the shadows as they looked around frantically.
This was it.
This is what I've been waiting for.
Where was HE!
They looked around scanning there nearby soundings scarcely but found nothing. Only a empty bench that stood in front of a old stone water fountain, a couple of light posts and empty run down houses that no one seemed to live in now a day's. I was starting to get an idea of why.
I looked around like they did and it wasn't tell they all turned back around to face the bench and water fountain, that I felt my muscles stiffen and the hairs on the back of my neck stick up.
All at once there he was. He had on a black dress shirt with his blond hair falling down around his dark eye's. He was seated on the bench in the middle of the square. His right leg rested on top of his left on and his left arm rested on top of the bench's backrest.
He looked down at the ground and smiled a wicked smile before closing his eye's. He adjusted his gaze so that he was smiling at them and his bloodshot eyes were peering up at them.
I saw them all quiver and then stare away from his gaze in fear.
What wimps I must say.
" Jake Hail" Carder said and I noded.
What was he doing here?
"What do we do? This wasn't part of the plan!" Carder said and I rolled my eye's.
They were impossible. For lycans you would think they could at least try to act fearless!
The rumors of Jake's ruthless attitude and deathly ripper reputation, made him feared by most. But to me I found it all a gimmick.
I was conscious, but not scared.
I had a reputation of my own but unlike Jake's, I had the proof! Most people had seen me fight and I was known to the vampires very well...
My name alone was something they knew like they knew the taste of blood.
I was in the top sections of their kill list as well.
Guess when your dad chooses to have it out with someone, that person ends up hating you just as much.
