Annabeth's Pov

It was late in the night, but I got so bored I woke Dawnie up to know what else I'm missing in Hogwarts. She didn't mind, she was awake to study more about Werewolves.

I went out of the tents me and Piper pitched outside New Jersey, it turns out, Khione was in Brooklyn for Vacation. Which made me think of what she told Percy.

"Athena was not wrong about your flaw Perseus Jackson, someday, if you do not control it, it will kill, everyone you love, especially on this quest. Even Annabeth Chase here."

I shook my head, clearly the fates were messing with us again.

"Can't sleep?" Claire Blue suddenly said

I jumped and turned around "You too?" I asked Alex and Callie. Both looked tired, but not sleepy either.

Callie wrinkled her nose "Do you expect me to sleep where Khione's daughter snores and turns the temperature 2,000x colder than my mom's meat locker?". I nearly smiled a bit, she was as warm as Simon or Leo.

"Got news," Alex shrugged "Were supposed to enter the maze by first light today. The rest of us..."

He slouched. Surprisingly no one judged or asked him for more.

I thought of the troubles I've been, ever since, I know that my life will have no end on crazy adventures and quests and stupid prophecies.

I just wanted a normal life, I thought of the mortals, my dad, what do they think is harder? My life or theirs with the extra struggle nd the work and food and all?

I nearly slapped myself. No one will ever believe me if they learned of demigods. they just laugh and say "You read too much, look around you. I don't see crazy gods and goddesses pretending and demanding they're my parents."

"Hey!" Percy suddenly said behind me.

"What seaweed brain?" I asked him

He pointed to the sky "First light, you were so lost in your thoughts that the rest went back to sleeping."

I rubbed my eyes, that was unusual.

"Hey!" Piper grabbed my shoulder "Help me pack our stuff up, if you daydream one more time your doing it alone."

She must have used charmspeak because I found myself saying...

"Yes ma'am!"
