Percy woke up to the best words in his life.

"You still drool when you sleep."

He literally jumped out of his bed, eyes wide open with astonishment.

"Annabeth?" he said, in amazement, as he saw his girlfriend right in front of him.

Her blonde hair were in a pony as usual and she was wearing a plain white blouse and blue jeans. As her eyes pondered over him he remembered how she had analysed him when they had first met.
Her lips twitched into a smile.

"Yes, Seaweed Brain", she sighed.

"Now get that drool off your face and brush your hair while you are at it."

Percy quickly wiped off the drool and let his hair be.

"What are you doing here?", he asked with a huge smile on his face as he hugged her.

Annabeth smiled.

"Glad to see you too. I got the weekend off so I decided to come here and give you a surprise. Took me half of Saturday to fly here on Blackjack as we were attacked by monsters", she frowned. Could they never leave her alone?

Percy still couldn't believe his Wise Girl was here and he kept gaping at her.

Annabeth laughed.

"Percy! You had better get dressed otherwise I'll be standing here the whole day while you just stare at me."

That fully woke up Percy. He quickly dressed up, all the while thinking how he would spend his day with Annabeth. When he went out he saw Annabeth already talking to Nico and Sally.

"There you are", Sally said, a smile on her face.

"Annabeth wanted to surprise you."

Percy grinned as he sat down to eat breakfast. Annabeth rolled her eyes as he literally drowned them in maple syrup.

"So did Nico know you were coming?" he asked.

Annabeth shook her head.

"Only Sally knew..."

"I had come to remind you that we have to submit that English project we took up with Char", Nico said, while attacking the pancakes.

Percy let out a sigh. "Yeah. Totally forgot about that one."

"So tell me", Annabeth said, directing her question towards Sally.

"How come they aren't failing without me?"

Sally laughed.

"It's a relief Percy isn't failing for once", Sally joked.

"And to answer your question, it's all because of Charlotte. They must have told you about her."

Annabeth nodded.

"So when am I meeting Charlotte?" she asked, as she finished the last of her pancakes.

Nico shrugged. "She lives nearby plus we need to complete our English project so we could go to her house after breakfast."

"Which means now", Percy said, as he wiped the maple syrup on his sleeve.

Annabeth scrunched up her nose.

"Percy!"

"What?"

"Go change your t-shirt!"

"Fine..."

Sometime later they reached Char's house. Annabeth was about to ring the bell when she heard Nico and Percy whispering.

"I hope she's not there."

"I'm not going to become a Barbie again."

"Or a piggy-back-ride."

Annabeth raised her eyebrow.

"What are you two whispering about?"

"There's a monster in there", Percy declared.

"Nico nodded in agreement. "The most ferocious monster ever. Disguised in the form of a cute little girl."

Confusion crossed Annabeth's features.

Nico took a deep breath and stood in front of Annabeth.

"I am going to do it Perce", he said, bravely.

Percy's eyes widened as he stepped beside Nico.

"I'm with you Neeks", he whispered, as Nico rang the doorbell.

Annabeth sighed.

"Guys will you tell me what -"

She never got the chance to complete her sentence. The door burst open and revealed Char, her hair uncharacteristically messy as her eyes took down their appearance. Her face broke out into a big smile.

"Great!" she cried.

"I just needed you guys!"

She grabbed Nico's arm and yanked him inside. Nico let out a yelp and dragged Percy with him. Utterly surprised, Annabeth followed the trio up to what seemed like Charlotte's room.

"Anna, look whose here", Char said, with evident relief in her voice.

"Percy and Nico!" Anna yelled in delight, jumping up and down.

Annabeth saw a pair of scissors and some glitters lying around the cute little girl.

The two demigods let out an audible groan.

"She's cute", Annabeth smiled.

"Don't make that mistake", Percy warned her. He and Nico looked as if they had just seen Medusa.

Charlotte looked at her.

"Oh, you must be Percy's girlfriend, Annabeth", she said.

Annabeth nodded, extending an arm for a handshake.

She took hold of Annabeth's arm and quietly took her outside the room.

"Have fun you all!" Charlotte yelled, and slammed the door.

Annabeth could hear Percy and Nico's screams of protests and threats to kill Charlotte.

"I'm Charlotte but you can call me Char. Everyone does", the girl grinned.

"I would love to talk to you and know you better but we really don't have the time. If you want to save your boyfriend's life, come with me."

Annabeth raised an eyebrow but followed her nevertheless to the kitchen where she began rummaging through some jars.

"Annabeth, could you take out the chocolate cake from the refrigerator?"

Annabeth answered in affirmative and rummaged through the refrigerator. It mostly had sweets which Annabeth assumed were for Anna and normal food required every day but Annabeth also saw some strange things like a jar of sickly green fluid, some pebble like structures and some weird yellow shiny stuff.

Finally she found the chocolate cake and brought it out and found Char opening a packet with some silvery powder.

Annabeth raised an eyebrow questioningly.

"Sleeping powder", she answered and sprinkled sum on the cake.

Questions flooded Annabeth's mind. Why did she have sleeping powder? Was sleeping powder supposed to be silver? Was she going to feed it to her own sister?

"Don't worry", Char assured her.

"It will put her to sleep only for two or three hours and works almost immediately. Anna can get really out of hand sometimes. She is on medication...."

Wordlessly the two took the cake to her room. Annabeth saw a bizarre scene when the door opened. A silver haired Percy was chasing Anna who had a pair of scissors in her hand while Nico was covered in pink and golden glitter and his hair shone like a disco-ball.

Annabeth could only try to stifle her laughter.

"Anna!" Char yelled over the din.

Anna stopped and frowned in her sister's direction. Until her eyes fell upon the cake.

"Chocolate cake!" she yelled, excitedly and darted towards Annabeth and Char. She clawed the cake greedily and started yawning a few seconds later.

Char set the cake down and took Anna in her arms.

"I think it's time for your nap", she said, firmly and Anna nodded, already half asleep. She set her down on the bed and covered her with a blanket.

Meanwhile, Annabeth took in the demigod's appearance.

"What happened to you too?", she demanded, suppressing a smile.

Percy let out a groan.

"Anna wanted to give us a new hairstyle", he said.

"Well, Nico's hair sure look better!" Annabeth chuckled.

Nico glared at her but was blinded by a sudden white flash.

"Say cheese", Char grinned.

"NO!", the duo yelled, but the picture was taken.

"Sweet", Char muttered.

"You should thank me for saving your butts."

"Thank you!" Percy said, indignantly.

"You put us in this situation in the first place!" Nico agreed.

Annabeth laughed.

"You two can shout at her all you want but go wash yourselves up", she said.

With a defeated sigh Percy and Nico disappeared into the bathroom.

Suddenly the huge bookshelf caught Annabeth's eye.

"Those are yours?" she asked incredulously.

Char smiled and nodded and in no time they were talking and gossiping about books.

Which is why when Percy and Nico came back, they missed them all together.

"Busy talking over books", Percy sighed.

"Hey what's that?" Nico perked up.

Annabeth and Char were just discussing about Gale from Hunger Games when they heard the boys.

"This cake is delicious!"

The girls spun and saw Nico and Percy munching the chocolate cake contentedly.

"No that's not for you!" Char cried but it was too late.

The two demigods were already yawning and a few seconds later they slumped against the bed and then they new nothing.

Hiya guys! So my exams are finally over and I'll be updating more frequently. So this book might be ending in like 5 more chapters cause it is a short story.
