4: Frank

Word Count- 2010

I am so sorry you all had to wait so long for this!! I hope it turned out well.

please enjoy!

~

Turns out, traveling 3,473 miles via teleportation was not exactly fun.

Frank felt like vomiting the second they landed outside the crumbling inn, and Hazel didn't look much better.

It only took about two minutes for the other two to join the two in London, and Frank was thankful Hazel and he moved before they ended up squashed.

"Is everyone alright?" Hazel asked.

The two decided to take the collection of grunts and groans as a yes.

Frank clapped his hands together, "Great! Let's go inside and then...tell them who we are?"

The group made their way inside. They were expecting to be stared at based on the sheer size of their group, but nobody spared a second glance.

The son of Mars sighed inwardly in relief, he was never one for having all of the attention on him.

They walked up to the counter where a man was sitting on the other side.

"What can I do for you kids?" The man asked.

Well, they certainly didn't think this through very well.

Piper ended up saying, "Our headmistress told us to come here, we're students from Illvermorney."

The man (I really should learn his name) nodded in understanding.

"Ahh, I see. McGonagall told me you would be arriving today. Come right this way."

He lead them down a winding hallway a few floors up, and by the time they were at the end, they were all incredibly tired.

"Here we are! We could only spare five rooms since it's the summer and all, so sorry about that. Don't worry about paying, your headmistress already took care of that."

And with that, he walked away.

"Alright, how are we doing this?"

They all looked around awkwardly. Of course, they knew how they wanted to do it, but Frank assumed none of them were sure if their suggestions would come off as weird.

"Well, Reyna and I should be together since we're both hunters." Spoke Thalia finally.

"Nico and I maybe?" Suggested Will.

Annabeth smirked a bit at that, which left Frank confused.

"How 'bout me and Jason? We need our bro time." Percy said next.

He and Jason did a weird fist pump/handshake thing that left everyone confused.

Piper spoke next, "Well, in that case, Annabeth?"

"Totally!"

"And that just leaves me, Hazel, and Frank." Leo looked a bit confused now.

"You three can share, you're already dating anyways." Reyna said like it was obvious.

It kind of was.

Hazel blushed a bit before saying, "It's settled then!"

"How about we all put our stuff away, take a few minutes to hang out, and then meet back out here at...12:45? That should give us around 15 minutes to just relax for a bit." Percy offered.

"That sounds great!" Will said, and everyone else agreed.

The groups split into their respective rooms.

"How are we all going to fit on that?"

Hazel was referring to the full-sized bed in the middle of the room. Now, normally that wouldn't be a problem, except Frank is 6ft tall and fairly muscular. Leo also rolled around a lot in his sleep, making things even more complicated.

"That's a problem for tonight's Leo, Hazel, and Frank!" Shouted Leo.

The short boy sat on the edge of the bed.

"Now put your trunks down and let's go!"

Frank and Hazel laughed at their boyfriend's antics and places their trunks on the far side of the room.

"We still have five minutes, how about we take our essentials out so they're easy to get to tonight?" Frank suggested.

"That sounds great, but I am a bit...stuck."

In the twenty seconds that Frank had been looking away, Leo had managed to trap Hazel from behind, arms around her waist and holding her with a firm grip while still sitting on the edge of the bed.

"That's alright! I can grab everything real quick."

Frank thanked the gods that he had the foresight to place his necessities on top of his other things.

Hazel and Leo's stuff was not so easy to find.

It took the rest of the five minutes, but he finally had everything laid out all organized.

"Ready to go?" Asked Hazel.

"Yup! Let's get out of here."

The bricks moving to create an archway was one of the coolest things frank had ever seen.

Diagon Alley was so full of magic that you could feel it in the air. It buzzed like electricity, but it felt warm and cozy, like a fire and some peppermint cocoa in the middle of a snowstorm.

As excited as everyone was though, Annabeth and Reyna made sure they all stayed on task.

They visited Flourish and Blotts first to collect their school books, and Annabeth was blown away by all the books on different subjects. Thalia had to literally drag the blonde out.

Next on the list was Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions.

They will never speak of the horrors that happened in that shop.

After those...events, the rest of their time shopping for school flew by as quickly as the eastern winds.

It was 6 o'clock when the group finally finished their shopping. They made their way back to the Leaky Cauldron where they went up to their rooms and quickly dropped off their supplies before going back downstairs for dinner.

They laughed and told stories while they ate, enjoying the calm beginnings of the quest while they still could. Frank felt at peace here in England, where all of his friends were happy and they had no immediate threats.

Once they finished dinner they re-entered Diagon Alley and walked over to Florean Fortescue's Ice-Cream Parlour for a treat.

Once they all had their ice cream (they even had lactose-free ice cream, go wizards!) the group chose a large table just outside. The cool ice cream was a nice contrast to the warm breeze surrounding them.

The colours of the sunset were beautiful, even if Frank couldn't see it himself.

Maybe they should just...stay in England forever.

Frank shook his head at the thought, he was being silly.

He tuned back into the conversation with a small smile on his face.

The short walk back to the Leaky Cauldron was silent, but there was a peaceful air surrounding them.

When the 11 got to their hallway Jason spoke.

"Hey, maybe we should have a meeting type thing real quick. Talk about how we're feeling and our plan, that kind of thing is important, you know?"

everyone agreed and they all filed into Percy and Jason's room, since the door was already open.

They all squished onto the four-poster bed to stay close to each other.

Percy and Jason were sitting on top of the pillows, backs leaning against the wall. Hazel was sat almost in front of Percy, with Frank next to her. The two were holding hands while Leo was sprawled out across them, head in Frank's lap, legs in Hazel's, trying to kick Percy. At the end of the bed, Reyna was leaning up on one side of a pole with Thalia on the other. Will was also leaning on one of the poles while Nico leaned back onto the boy. Piper and Annabeth were mirroring Frank and Hazel, minus the hand holding.

"So...what are we going to do?" Percy broke the silence.

"I mean, we've never left the world of mythology before so I feel like we should probably make some form of a plan. Like, try to pretend we're wizards? I know we already have to do that but maybe try to avoid using whatever powers we have? Showing we aren't who we say we are could ruin everything." Frank wasn't planning on speaking, but words started tumbling out of his mouth like an overfilled cup before he knew what was happening.

"It's not much, but we have no idea what we're walking into. I think that is the best plan we have for now. Does that sound good to everyone?" Jason asked.

Everyone nodded their heads, and not a word was spoken for a few minutes.

Frank knew that most if not everyone were at least a little nervous if not scared about what is to come, which is understandable. They had never heard of this world until a day ago, and now they were expected to save the world again.

That's all they do though, isn't it? Save the world so the gods don't have to? It's so tiring, and Frank is done. If he has to march up to Olympus himself and demand Jupiter to never make him go on a quest again, he will.

As if he read his mind, Percy spoke, "This is it. I'm done with quests, with saving the world. I'm sick of the gods relying on me, on us, to save their sorry asses. I don't expect you all to agree, but I'm done."

The group didn't need words to tell Percy they were done as well.

Finding platform 9 3/4 was much harder than Frank expected.

Getting to Kings Cross Station was an event all by itself. The group had left the Leaky Cauldron at 5 am to give themselves some time, and had spent 5 of those extra hours trying to navigate London.

Once they made it to the station, it became clear quickly that asking for directions to the platform was out of the question.

They walked back and forth between platforms 9 and 10 about thirty times before they saw anyone that might be a wizard.

At 10:45 a flock of very strangely dressed redheads walked by, and the demigods knew they had found some wizards.

They tried to follow them as inconspicuously as possible, so they could find this seemingly hidden platform.

What they were not expecting was to see one of the boys run straight through the wall between platforms 9 and 10.

Another boy followed the first and then the girl, who was trailed by what Frank could only assume to be their parents.

Once they were gone Leo asked, "So...who wants to go first?"

The group looked around at each other before Frank sighed and said. "I will."

"You sure Frank? I can do it if you want?" Spoke Piper, though she didn't look very eager to go first.

"It's alright Pipes, I'll be fine."

Frank grabbed his trolley and aimed it for the wall the family had disappeared through just moments before and ran.

He closed his eyes right before he collided with the wall, but did not crash.

When he opened his eyes again, he didn't see Kings Cross, but a completely different station. The sign above read "The Hogwarts Express".

A scarlet steam engine was right in front of Frank, and it had the same words inscribed on the side of it as the sign on the wall.

The entire platform was packed with emotional families saying their goodbyes to their kids.

The students themselves seemed to range from about the age of 5th-grade American students to juniors or seniors.

The rest of the demigods made their way onto the platform and took in everything around them.

Once the whole group was there, Will spoke.

"How about we find somewhere to sit?"

The group loaded onto the train and ended up having to split into three compartments since they would only fit eight.

In the end, Percy, Will, Nico, and Annabeth took a cart on the left.

Thalia, Reyna, and Jason took one to the right.

And Piper, Hazel, Leo, and Frank took one next to Jason's.

There were 3 minutes until the train left the station.

2 minutes and their lives will change forever.

Maybe the son of Mars was scared, but on the inside, he was shaking with excitement.

1 minute.

Maybe they will have a good year after all.

Their compartment door slammed open, three people stood in front of them. The blond boy still had his hand on the door.

The train started moving.

~

They're officially on their way!!

I don't know why this chapter was such a struggle for me...maybe it was because I know what's to come? idk

I hope this turned out well, it certainly wasn't my best though.

The next chapter's pov will be a Harry Potter character, who should it be? It can be either:

Harry
Ron
Hermione
Draco
Pansy
Blaise
Ginny
Luna

up to you! Unless nobody says anything, then ill just put the names in a spin-the-wheel type thing

Love ya'll,

JJ out! ❤️
