Lena

We left the big house about half an hour ago. Annabeth was giving us a tour around the camp. Chase didn't really seem interested though. He kept on looking at the two kids that were attempting to pull a prank on a camper walking by the lake.

Finally, we stopped at a big cabin. It had a caduceus hanging from it, and it looked more worn out then the others.

"This is the cabin where campers are supposed to go if they don't know who thier godly parents are," Annabeth explained. Oh, that explained why it looked so worn out. A bunch of campers probably used it.

"It's the cabin for Hermes, the god of travelers, so naturally we put all the unclaimed demigods in here."

"So that's where Lena goes?" Rory asked.

"Well, usually, it would be, but last year, after the titan war, Percy made the gods promise to claim all thier children when they turn thirteen. And you are definitely older then thirteen." Annabeth said.

"I'm fourteen," I said.

"Yeah, so your probably gonna get claimed at the campfire tonight." She replied.

Just then, the girl that had come into the big house to warn us of the dragon attack walked by, two boys trailing behind her.

"Ooh a newbie," she sneered.

"Clarisse," Annabeth sighed, "leave her alone, unless you want a repeat of what happened with Percy."

The girl, who I assumed was Clarisse, went red in the face, "that wasn't fair! Percy was a son of Poseidon, and how was I supposed to know that?" She huffed. She marched off with the two boys.

"Well, that's new, Clarisse never leaves the new kids alone." Annabeth said.

"What happened with Percy?" Chase asked, of course he would focus on that.

"Well, Percy doesn't like to talk about it, but when he was twelve, Clarisse tried to give him a swirly, she does the to most of the new demigods, and Percy exploded the toilet water and it came crashing down on Clarisse. I got wet too, that time, it was not a nice experience."

I could see Chase trying not to laugh. He was doing a horrible job at it.

Just then, a bell rang. "Time for the campfire guys," Annabeth said. Then, turning towards me, she said, "hopefully, you'll get claimed."

Annabeth

We were sitting around the campfire. Me and Percy sitting together. Chase Rory and Lena were sitting a little farther away from us. Rory and chase were here as guests, since they weren't demigods.

I was really looking forward to Lena being claimed tonight. I liked her. She was nice, and she seemed to have an interest in books. I had a feeling I knew who her mother was, but I waited until it was confirmed. It had to be soon. She was fourteen, so she should have gotten claimed a year ago.

Something came out of the shadows in the woods.

I looked closer, trying to see what it was. The whole camp jumped up, reaching for their weapons.

The figure stepped out of the woods. It looked like... Athena?

"Mom?" I asked.

"Yes dear," she said. "Lena, walk with me please." 

Lena gave me a nervous glance, then followed the goddess into the woods.
