Chase

Solange's lips curled into a smile as Ripper brought the scroll and set it at her feet.

She picked it up and opened it, skimming through, probably to make sure it was what she wanted. Then, apparently satisfied, she closed.

No one said anything, but Chiron looked really scared. I wondered what was in that scroll.

"I have what I need. Though Kronos offers you guys freedom. Join him, and he promises no harm will come to you." Solange said. Though something seemed off about her. I couldn't place it.

I could see some Demigods were starting to have some doubts. The new ones, I guessed. I mean, it's not easy to resist freedom, especially if it comes with your very own wolf army.

"Very well." Solange said. "You guys have ten days to decide." Then she started to step through the portal.

What happened right before she stepped through, I can't really tell you. But she waved her hand and Percy, who was standing right next to me, suddenly disappeared.

Then Solange was gone. But when I turned around, Lena was too.

Percy

I have no idea what happened.

I had no idea who the heck this lady was. Rory had said she was Solange, the person from Rory's tale, but she had also said she was dead.

And then there was the scroll. I had never heard of or seen that scroll, but when Solange had opened it, I could translate some of the Greek words.

I was still processing what those words said, and what they meant for both our worlds, when I blacked out.

Annabeth

The whole camp erupted into chaos.

No, worse than chaos.

But I couldn't pay attention to any of that.

Percy was gone. Again.

And this time, it had happened right in front of me. Lena had disappeared too.

Everything had happened so fast. Kronos, the words on the scroll. Why had I never seen that before?

I turned to Chiron to ask him, but he just shook his head. "Later. Not in front of all these people."

Everyone was still in shock, so I guessed no one had heard. But chase and Rory marched up to us and started speaking.

"What the heck was that?! What was in that scroll? And where is Lena and who the heck is Kronos?!" Chase asked.

Chiron said, "I have no idea what was in that scroll. But-"

"Oh really? You were the only one who knew anything."

"I swear I have no idea what was in there. As for your friend, come inside, all of you. We have lots to talk about."

We all turned to go inside, but before we went I could have sworn I heard chase mutter "no shit Sherlock."
