👄 The Fate

Hey their demigods. The Fate here. Are those wedding bells I hear? Sources say that the Goddess of Beauty is back in town and is to tie the knot again with her on and off again husband. And no, it's not the God of War. What does Metal-face Jisoo say about her dear old daddy's marriage.

And oh, see you their my darlings. I'm invited. 😉

🌸

"What? Kim Taehyung? As in the Taehyung son of Dionysus?" Lisa's mind was beyond blown as Rosé told her about Taehyung's confession. "Holy sh!tballs. I never would have thought!"

"Me neither," Jisoo said as she laid down Lisa's bed. They weren't in their house. Rather, they were in Lisa's own unit just a few blocks near the club. "I thought he liked someone else."

"Honestly, I thought he was gay." The three girls' head snapped straight towards Seokjin who was lazily lounging on the bean chair. "He's too 'happy' all the fvcking time! It was so creepy 'coz he went as Pennywise and would burst out laughing out of nowhere."

"Uh, it's not that we don't want you here, Jin but... what exactly are you doing here?"

"I'm having a sleepover, duh." He removed his fake vampire teeth. "It's the least you could do after kicking and hitting me while you pretend to be a freakin' drunkard."

"But it's an all-girls'—" Rosé was cut off by another male voice.

"Where's the bottle opener, doll?" Jeon Jungkook—who still has his Joker costume on minus the coat, suddenly popped in the room with champagne in his hand. "And about Taehyung, he really did like you, Ro. He just didn't make any move 'coz, well, he's Taehyung."

"What's he doing here?" Jisoo asked Lisa. But she just shrugged.

"Must've left the front door open?"

"You have no door. It's a penthouse."

Jungkook turned to see Jin. "And... who are you? Project Runway?"

"He's Jin," Lisa answered. "Jisoo's brother."

"Step brother." Jisoo corrected. "For the hundredth time, we're not fvcking related!"

"Hey Lis did you see Yoong—oh hey! I didn't know there's an after party?"

"Coz there is no after party. Just guests who barges in and out of my pent," Lisa crossed her arms. "Uninvited."

"Really, doll? Am I really uninvited?" Jungkook gave Lisa a playful smirk which made the girl glare at him. This did not go unnoticed by Rose. But she nonetheless shrugged it off.

"Oh please, I would never invite you over, Jeon. In your dreams."

"Oh, in my dreams indeed, doll." He winked causing her to throw a pillow at him. He just laughed before leaving the bedroom.

"I guess Yoongi's not here so... bye! See you all at school tomorrow!"

Hoseok also left the room leaving the three girls and Seokjin.

"Aren't you leaving, Seokjin?"

"I'm sleeping over," he stated. "I don't want to go home if I'll just be seeing my mom making out with her dad again."

"Aww, did widdly Jin-i's innocent mind get tainted?" Lisa teased. Jin's left eyebrow raised.

"I guess he's not that innocent at all," Rose commented making Jisoo cough. Again, that did not escape the girl's vision. "Are you okay, Chu?"

"Y-Yeah. I'm fine." She cleared her throat. "So, Taehyung?"

"Well, he did say it was before," Rose continued. "He likes someone else as of the moment."

"Really? Who?" Jin was overly into the 'girl-talk'. But the girls just let him be.

"Well, he didn't tell me who it was exactly. But he did mention that he's trying to get over it since he didn't want to compete with his friends or something." Rose looked at Lisa.

Jisoo's mouth formed an "O" and looked at Lisa too. "I'm a genius. There, I said it."

Lisa's eyebrows furrowed as she looked both at Rose and Jisoo who somewhat just had a telepathic conversation and excluded her.

"I wanna help him though." Rose smiled. "I think he should fight for the person he likes. I can tell just by talking to him that whoever that girl is, she'd be lucky as hell. That kid is beyond his years."

"That kid is older than you, Rosie."

"Yeah, well, he's still mature and gives great advice." She shrugged. "I kinda like him now."

"Like as in 'like-like' or 'like as a friend'?" Jin was already by the edge of the bed with his elbow propped. "You know, it all starts with that."

"I like him as a person, Jin," she answered. "He's a kind guy. And I think he's far better than any other guy I know."

"You hurt my feelings!" His hand on his chest. "I'm a guy too!"

"We just met you a few days ago!"

"And you met him tonight!"

"We were practically classmates since middle school, Jin."

"And yet it took you years to say he's a good guy. Girls. So judgmental."

Rose surrendered. There's no way she could win this guy. Lisa whispered something to Jisoo which made the latter nod. She grinned.

"Hey, Jin?" She called making the guy turn towards her.

"Hmm?" Lisa was leaning very close at him so as soon as he turned, her lips caught his cheek. "Ya!"

Lisa leaned back with a devilish smile plastered on her adorable face. Jisoo was trying her best to contain her laughter while Rose's mouth flew open.

"So Jin, wanna date me?"

And just like that, Jin ran out of the room. Lisa showed the girls a triumphant smile.

"And that's how it's done."

🌸

"What the actual fvck?!"

"Good morning to you too." Jennie rolled over her side as she looked at him. "Why are you so shocked? It was your idea to fool around, Yoongs."

"I was drunk!"

She raised her left eyebrow. "Oh really now, Min Yoongi? Don't pull that 'I was drunk' sh!t on me. You just had one scotch the whole night. If you dreaded last night that much, you didn't have to say it like I'm the most vile creature you ever slept with. I may be a b!tch but I have feelings too."

"That wasn't—"

"It's fine. You may not show it that much but you're just as bad as Jimin," she muttered as she collected her clothes on the floor from last night. "Maybe that's why you forgave her that easily. 'Coz you're a freakin' cheater yourself."

"Jennie—"

"Hey Yoongi—woah! Jennie? What are you doing here?" Hoseok, who was already dressed in his casual clothes, suddenly barged in. "Are you two? Did you? Was it—"

"How cute," Jenni said as she walked towards Hoseok. "It was all casual. And I'm the one to blame. Saint Yoongi here was just an innocent victim of Jennie Kim."

Still confused, Hoseok took of off his cardigan and let it rest on Jennie's shoulder—startling her. "Should I call a cab for you, Jen?"

"Don't bother," she replied. "I can take care of myself."

"But—"

The door slammed at Hoseok making him turn immediately after.

"What the fudge was that?" Yoongi looked away as he made his way towards his closet. "Hey Yoongs—"

"You saw nothing." He warned. "If Lisa finds out--especially Rose, consider yourself swimming in the river of stxx."

Hoseok's eyes widened. "I have amnesia from now on."

🌸

As Jennie got inside the car, she heaved a sigh.

She thought she finally had him. That after all these years, she'd finally be with Min Yoongi. But alas, fate really did not want her to be happy.

"The Parthenon please."

"Yes miss."

She looked out the window.

Min Yoongi. Again, she heaved a heavy sigh. She's been in love with him for as long as she could remember. They grew up together but he never really showed anything besides irritation towards her. But it was fine. It was okay to be the antagonist as long as he'd spare her a glance. She's fine with that. Even if it hurt.

He liked damsels in distress type of women. Pure, angelic and soft-hearted. Everything she's not.

Jennie thought it was just a simple crush at first. She was five. But when they were in middle school, she would always feel and ache in her chest whenever he laughs with other girls. So she'd do everything in her power to make that girl go away--the only way she knows which was being mean. But that just made him hate her even more.

Growing up with a mother like Hera, you're expected to be a strong-willed, sharp-tongued, independent woman. Nothing should hurt your feelings. But when it comes to Yoongi...

She ran out of the car as soon as the entrance of the hotel came into full view. She did not care whether she's still in her gypsy costume.

"Oh, hello there Miss Jennie--"

"Is he in his pent?" she cut the receptionist off who nodded as an answer. "Thanks."

Ignoring the judgmental stares of the people around, she walked straight towards the elevator. Who was she kidding? Yoongi will never love her back. Seeing as how disgusted he was when he saw her... she's not that strong, you know.

 The elevator door opened.

"Jen?" She immediately stepped out of the contraption and wrapped her hands around him. Tears started to run down her cheeks. "Jennie? Are you okay? What's wrong?"

She did not answer him as she felt his embrace. All she did was cry.

And he knew exactly what to do. She felt a light pat on her back and did not say a word. They were in that particular position for about five minutes. Then Jennie looked at him.

"Do you feel better now?" His hand moved up to her face to dry her tears.

She nodded. "Yeah. I guess I do. Thanks Joon."

  🌸

Jisoo looked at her reflection. Her fingers trailed the scar that traversed from her hairline, passing through her eyes down to the apple of her cheek.

She wasn't cursed. She was scarred. And that particular scar would always remind her the wrath of the Goddess of Beauty. The woman to be wed with her father this very day. Memories made when you were little would fade as you grow up. Only those who made a big impact would stay. And Aphrodite sure made that impact.

A gasp escaped from her mouth as she felt a sudden touch on her side. Then a soft kiss on her neck.

"It's almost time..." Slowly, Jisoo turned to meet Jin's gaze. "I'll be your brother again..."

"Your mom is bound to cheat on my dad with Ares again so it won't be for long." Jisoo put her metal mask on.

He did not react to her bitter remark towards his mother. He knew she did not like her very much. And he too wasn't a fan of his mom's doings.

"You know I like your father, Jisoo. But we all know the gods have complicated relationships. I can say the same for us demigods. We all have no idea how to deal with life itself."

"We're in high school. It's expected. But them? They're gods for Pete's sake!"

"Well, even gods can be confused too." But she wasn't having it. He sighed and held her chin up. "But I do know one thing."

He took off her mask and gently brushed his thumb on her long scar.

"I am in love with you, Kim Jisoo. With or without a mask on, you are the most beautiful person I've ever met."

She smiled and leaned in to plant a chaste kiss on his lips when suddenly, the door flew open.

"What the fvck?!"

  🌸

"Well this is boring," Lisa said as her right elbow was propped on the table and her left hand holding a glass of champagne. "The only thing I appreciate in these type of gatherings is the free champagne."

"You're not old enough to drink that!" Hoseok scolded her.

"Nice try, Hobi. You and Yoongi started drinking champagne when you were in middle school." She chugged the whole glass in one go. She made a face. "Where the hell is Jisoo? It's bad enough that Rose couldn't come and now she's MIA? Gods. I need more champagne!"

Lisa stood up but Hoseok grabbed her wrist. "Ya, Lalisa. Stop drinking too much. You're brother will kill me if he finds out you're drinking."

"Don't worry, Hobi. I can very much take care of myself," she gently removed his hand. "I'm a big girl. And don't worry. If Yoongi kills you, I'd fish your soul myself."

She did not let him continue and made her way towards the bar.

"Just give me a bottle. It's the only way I could get through thing hella boring night."

The bartender smiled. He was quite young, actually. Totally good looking to.

"Can I see your ID?" He asked with a friendly smile plastered on his face.

She squinted her eyes. "Hmm. Kyungsoo, right? Yeah. I don't think that would be necessary. I'm a guest so... can you just give me my bottle?"

"I'm afraid I can't, Miss." Dear gods, his smile was killer! "We were told not to serve under aged guests with alcoholic drinks."

"Fine."

When the bartender moved to assist another guest, she took that chance to jump over and get her drink. But as she prepared to mount the counter, she saw who the guest was. And he wasn't alone.

She raised an eyebrow as she clicked her tongue.

Jeon Jungkook flirting with one of Aphrodite's maidens.

"Hey Lisa! Why are you here and not inside--"

She immediately turned her seat. "Hey, Taehyung. Are you single?"

Shocked, he answered nonetheless.

"Uh... yes. Why'd--"

"Good."

Grabbing his tie, Lisa pulled him in for a kiss. Shocked, Taehyung dropped whatever her was holding making Jungkook--and the girl, turn towards their direction. She side eyed him then smirked.

No one plays with Min Lalisa and gets away with it.

  🌸

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, Jungkook. You have been warned.
Shall I congratulate the newest couple of Olympus High?
