Chapter 68

Dear (Y/N),

Hello. I bet you weren't expecting a message from me, Hunter. Well, here I am, telling you some information on your mission.

From the way you have been acting, you have not been taking this mission seriously. I would have preferred you slacked off. You have been taking advantage of this mission's format to ease your curiosity. And it disgusts me.

This is supposed to be real life. You are supposed to wonder, "What would have happened if I didn't do that?" and "Next time, I'll do this instead." Those are the thoughts you have in a natural, cause to effect real time life.

But instead, you have had unnatural thoughts. For example: "I'll go back after I experience this and read what happens then." You have no idea what you are doing to yourself.

How are you supposed to have a real experience if you just read the new chapters and see all the ways the story goes? You won't. And, more importantly, when it comes time, you will not know where you belong. You will not be able to tell which route you would achieve if you were really in this situation.

How will you know whose heart you earned? You don't see what's going on behind the scenes. You don't know that every choice affects where you end up. You don't realize the intricate butterfly effect you are partaking in.

This is no Before Dawn. This is better than Before Dawn. In Before Dawn, it doesn't matter what you do in the prologue. It doesn't actually matter what you do throughout the story. But here, it does.

How dare you ruin that? Why are you doing this?

--Hunter

Okay, hello.

It's me.

You don't know who I am. I'll just say I'm a daughter of Chaos. I am the writer of this book.

Chaos doesn't have many children or demigod children. Do you know why?

I know why. He does it because the way our brains are wired is wrong. We see past, present, and future. We see different timelines. We see everything and know everything. We know exactly how our actions affect the universe.

That's why I'm here, at my dad's, avoiding all human contact. I know what will happen if I dare leave the safety of my dad's home.

Anyway, enough about me. I made this book in an effort to show people how my brain works. Except, I can see how your choices affected the outcome. I know which routes lead to the happy endings and I know which ones are hanging by a single choice.

Hunter's little letter up there? Don't worry, I don't feel that way. I'm actually flattered that people are reading this book and care about all the choices. That is really nice, you guys. Sure, I agree that you are not going to know which route you earned. I just hope you record which chapter you should be on, then from there look around at the other chapters. A great way to keep track of which chapter you are on is by voting for it. That vote can work as a bookmark and help me.

I'll let you in on a secret: I am self conscious about my writing, especially descriptions.

Some authors describe a character once and never again. Sometimes the reader forgets what the character looked like to begin with. So, I sometimes wonder if I should be describing the person to you every few chapters? I really do not know. I think it more relates to the writer's style than a standard in some writing guide.

Also, I feel like I say "nodded" too often. There is a lot of nodding in my books because that's just what people do. They nod to let people know they are listening. Mentally, you are nodding right now, even if you do not agree with me.

Also, describing eyebrows...I feel like I do that either too little or too much.

My point? I'm explaining the change you are about to see. The change that includes pictures of all the crew passengers. Why? Because I feel showing and not telling is better for you and me.

Is this an anime graphic novel?

I wish. If I could animate that, I would have turned this entire thing into that in a heartbeat. Unfortunately, I have reached the limits of my animation potential here.

Oh yes, do you think I did this on purpose? Just add a chapter randomly to yell at you? Actually, I didn't plan it. It just happened. I was considering it, but I thought I would mess up somewhere in the planning and have an extra chapter to work with. I was right.

If you want to continue reading every chapter there is, go for it. I do not mind. Please, do us a favor and keep track of which one you have chosen so you can experience this book in a way where you can see what would happen if you were put into this situation.

I have to add something at the end so it will be less obvious that this chapter is not like all the others. I'm going to make the choices lame enough where no one should care enough to make the choice.

Choice Time:

Chapter 67: Wear the worn-out tennis shoes.

Chapter 68: Wear some high heels
