"You slept with Demi, do you see how disgusting that sounded?" Stephanie screamed and Michelle rolled her eyes. Since the party ended abruptly after someone pushed Fàdé into the pool and she was rushed to the hospital, Stephanie won't let her breathe. Demi followed them to the hospital and now she's headed home with Kate and Stephanie.

"Steph breathe, Mistakes happen, and moreover Fade too is at fault here too. Maybe if she hadn't used the boy to do shakara, he wouldn't have given into temptation" Kate replied and Stephanie turned to look at her abruptly.

"Between you and Michelle, I don't know which of you is more disgusting. That girl is supposed to be your sister and you're supposed to have her back all time." Stephanie fired back.

"Same way I'm your sister and you're supposed to have my back. Please enough with the rant, Demi and I had consensual sex and I don't know how come you're the one reacting. Is Fadekemi innocent too or did I not try my best to extend an olive branch to her?" Michelle hissed and Stephanie took a deep breath. Michelle wasn't going to make her lose it, nobody was. They enjoyed the rest of the ride in silence.

"Kate, We are n front of your house so get down" Stephanie announced as she pulled up in front of Kate's house. Katerina was shocked because she didn't expect Stephanie to actually take her home. Katerina picked up her tiny bag and she came down from the car making sure to bang the door harder than necessary. Stephanie reversed the car before making a U-Turn back to their house, she was overspeeding and Michelle didn't even say anything in the car. As soon as she parked the car safely in the parking lot, she made a beeline for her room. she couldn't even deal with Michelle tonight, maybe tomorrow but definitely not this night.

Michelle wanted to say something but she swallowed whatever she had to say. She didn't want any trouble tonight and she needed to clear her head and find a way to clear up this mess. EC students were not really that nice with words and Michelle didn't want to experience that first hand. she wasn't one to mess with them. She knows before morning, their class group chat will probably be buzzing with messages and people with different versions of what really happened. She wish temptation didn't happen that night at all.

She wanted to open her WhatsApp but dread stopped her from going further, she decided to go on ofofospot. She knew one person would have uploaded it at-least. She wished she didn't as tears pooled her eyes with each statement she read. If the update on the blog was this bad, she wondered how worse her classmates opinion would be.

Fadekemi took another spoonful of the pap and she winced at the hot effect. Her throat was sore from all the medications and the only thing that would stay in her stomach was pap. She looked around and when her eyes meet stepmom's eyes she continued eating. She wasn't feeling hungry but considering the fact that in the last few days she had only eaten one spoon of rice successfully. The remaining things she ate, she always threw up.

She smiled as she thought about what she came up with, she has made a final decision in her head and no one would change it. She was letting go of everything including the friendship and all of that. She wasn't going to cut Katerina off totally at-least they are sisters now. She was only going to limit the relationship, sisters do keep secrets from each other and she was going to do just that. She knew it would be hard for her since the whole of EC students won't let her breathe but her mental health mattered too. It's obvious they weren't meant for each other and she wasn't going to force it.

"Wait what?" Demi asked in shock and Fade maintained the smile on her face. She had sent him a long text to him on WhatsApp and he asked for them to meet in school tomorrow.

"Don't tell me you're actually serious with this whole ending things and all of that?" He asked again this time with his voice quivering. Fade hated to see him like this but it was necessary for her.
Their love was a journey she experienced with happiness and like every journey, it must come to an end. She was grateful for everything he gave her, for this is the end of their own journey.

"Demilade, We are friends now. Like I said in my message, I don't regret any of this, any of what happened between us. Life is a journey and everything must come to an end one day. I'm grateful for you, for the dark days in my life and for the days you brought me light. I'm afraid 'us' ends here, this is our end. If you want to stop talking to me, I don't mind. You're human too and my decision might hurt you. I wish you well genuinely and I don't hate anyone I knew through you. Stephanie, Michelle even Katerina, I'm starting afresh as my own person." She said with another smile and she watched him run his hands through his hair before sighing.

"You know what Fade, you've always been selfish right from time. Everything has always been about you, now you're breaking up with me without letting me explain shit. Thank you for ruining what love means to me, I hope you have peace in your new life knowing you've taken away mine". With that, he turned around and walked away. Not without Fade noticing the little tears in his eyes.
He walked away without looking back and Fade stared till he was out of sight. Every step he took from her hurts but she was ready for it, this was growth and she was going to face each step on her own with renewed strength.

This little girl is grateful for everything. Anyways, this might be the end of book one but this isn't the end of Fadekemi and Demilade's story. There's a book two and I can't wait to begin this new journey with y'all ❤️❤️
