; nynix is a disgrace to his pride. not only is the poor boy albino (making camouflage, hunting, etc. nearly impossible) , but he does not have the key survival, primative upside to being a pantheris: he lacks the ability to "go into beast mode."

; he has a mark that would glow if he were to have the ability, but his mark (an omega sign) has not lit up to signal his primal ways.

; he would soon enough be banished from his pride after yet another inconvenience (he fails his hunting patrols, etc.) to the pride and find two lone pantheris.

; sin and jasmine are loners. sin being born within a very small pride and losing them all very early. jasmine was a former member of nynix's pride, but was exiled after supposedly "being the reason the packmaster's daughter died."
