Amara's POV

"A pop quiz on the first day? Does your professor want everyone to drop out?" Zoya gasps in disbelief.

"You should've dropkicked him to the floor." Beena suggests.

"Astagfirullah, Beena! I would never!" I exclaim at first. "But... I should've texted you to do it for me because I'd be down." I start laughing.

"You should have. I would have made a whole scene." Beena laughs.

"Let's be real, Beena would have used her feminine charms to get your professor to never give you guys a quiz." Zoya says.

"Remember that time in high school when Beena actually managed to do that for our marketing class?" Dina helps us remember.

"Ya Allah! That teacher was a whole ass pedo." I say.

All of us laugh so hard, we couldn't breathe anymore.

Zoya Sharif And Beena Husseini have been my best friends since the same time as Dina. My group of friends only consists of them because I don't really have the need to make more.

They all have friends outside of our group but I just don't find the need to make any, mostly because my socializing skills are nonexistent.

Now that I think about it, our friend group is a pretty good mix of different types of muslims. There's Zoya and I, whom are hijabis. Dina and Beena are not. However, Dina and I are slightly more similar, whilst Beena and Zoya are more similar, whether that's similar in our religious beliefs or personality.

But our love for each other are equal and we always share everything with each other. There has never been a situation where one of us only tell one other person in the group something. We either speak to the whole group or we don't say anything, which rarely happens.

"So... There's this guy I met in one of my elective classes." Beena grins.

"Oooh! Spill the tea!" Zoya says excitedly.

"How long will this one last?" I tease her.

"Only Lord knows." Beena laughs.

Beena has the tendency to be... impulsive. She also has commitment issues. She cannot stand by her feelings for one guy for more than a few days. She can get bored of people quickly.

"Did you talk to him?" Dina asks.

"Do you know me? Of course I talked to him. I got his number, Instagram and Snapchat." Beena smirks.

Of course she did. Extroverted Beena strikes again.

The three of us give Beena slow, dramatic claps.

"Well done." Zoya says.

"Thank you, thank you very much." Beena does a slight bow. "And..."

"There's more?" I look at her with wide eyes.

"Yes, there is. I got invited to his house party this Saturday and he said I can bring my friends." Beena grins.

"Really? That would be fun!" Zoya smiles.

We've tagged along with Beena and Zoya to a few parties at university whenever they've been invited to them. Mostly because Beena can behave a bit erratically and spiral out of control if no one's there to watch her. This is also the reason that Dina and I are dragged there against our wills. We usually just sit in a less hectic corner of the place and keep an eye on Beena and Zoya, especially Beena.

You'd think people would give you odd looks if a hijabi shows up at a college party but everyone's too wasted or high to even realize. Zoya may be a hijabi but she fits in well, she's a social butterfly so everyone is instantly drawn to her.

"I don't know, Beena... You know Amara and I aren't really..." Dina begins to say.

"Then, who will make sure that I'm not being drugged?" Beena pouts.

Beena usually thinks that making us go out with her will make us more social but it never works. I don't complain though because who knows what she'd get herself into if we aren't there supervising her.

I look at Dina, who nods. "Fine, we'll go. I'll drive." I say.

Beena squeals, jumps up from her seat to give Dina and I a hug. I know she really loves it when we go with her, whether we actually socialize at the party or not.

"Beena, did you only have one class today?" I ask.

"Yep. You?" She asks me.

I shake my head. "Nope, two. But I just finished my last class for the day. Should we head home?"

Beena and I share an apartment off campus. Since our actual homes are far away, all four of us live near school. Zoya and Dina share an apartment in the same building.

What's even cooler is that Beena and Dina's family co-own the apartment complex. It's in the core downtown area, overlooking the busy city. It's one of the most expensive apartment building in the area. We have one of the highest floors, courtesy of their parents.

Zoya and I tried telling Beena we would be okay at a less expensive place but not only did she insist, her whole family insisted. Our parents also loved the idea of us girls living together. So, we ended up agreeing.

I couldn't have been more blessed. Alhumdulillah!

Most of the times, all four of us either spend our time together at either one of our places.

"See you guys after our class finishes, Insh'Allah!" Dina says.

Beena and I say goodbye to the girls and head to her car, which is a Mercedes-Benz G-Class.

By now, it's easy to figure out that Beena and Dina are wealthier than the average person. For more input, the Hosseini's and Bashara's, Beena and Dina's family, are one of the most powerfully wealthy people in the country.

But they have raised their daughters to be very humble so they were never braggers, neither were they loudmouths about it, Mash'Allah. Even when they indulged in more extravagant things, they never went out of their way rub it in anyone's face.

In fact, Zoya and I didn't even know the extent to their wealth until we were around 13, when we saw their parents in the news. It was mind-blowing since their parents always act so humble and down-to-Earth that you wouldn't be able to tell.

Zoya and I, on the other hand, are from lesser wealthy family but only compared to the Hosseini's and Bashara's. Other than that, we're still very financially stable, Alhamdulillah!

My Ammi is a family physician and Abbu is a professor at a university for engineering. Zoya's Ammi is a financial manager and her Abbu is a flight engineer. All four of us are very blessed all around, Alhumdulillah.

Our friendship has never revolved around the materialistic things that the world has offered us. This quality has strengthened our bond throughout the 10+ years of our friendship.

Once we reach home, both of us quickly change into more comfortable clothes.

Beena jumps onto the couch and smirks at me.

"What?" I look at her with confusion.

"So... have you met anyone in these three years we've been at university?"

I roll my eyes. "If I did, you guys would be the first to know."

"I have a feeling this year might be it for your love life!" She grins.

"You've been saying that since senior year of high school." I sigh.

"Okay, but I really feel it in my gut this time." She frowns.

"Sure. Maybe this out-of-place girl will finally catch feelings." I say, sarcastically.

"Are you mocking my need for you to find a man?" Beena fakes being offended.

"Yes, yes I am." I smile.

Beena throws a pillow at me and both of us burst into laughter.

After a couple of seconds of silence, Beena says, "You're a good person. You'll find someone good, whether that's today, this week, this month, this year, or in the next 10 years."

I give her a quick hug. "Insh'Allah, it'll work out since I have such wonderful girls praying for my horrible love life."
