Kris pov

I walked silently as Noelle followed alongside me. I felt that fermillier pain in my chest. This is why I've stopped hanging out with him.

"You're really tense Kris" I jumped and turned to her. She had a gentle smile on her face "I've known you since we were kids Kris. I know when something is bothering you"

"That's why I stopped hanging out with you" I muttered to myself as I attempted to walk away. Before I could Noelle grabbed me and forced me to sit down.

"I think it's about time we had an honest conversation" she said firmly "it's been long overdue and a mystical world that bends reality is a better place than any"

She sat in front of me. I sighed. Looks like I'm not getting out of this "it's not you Noelle. It's just that you're connected to such painful memories for me"

"I understand. Thinking back to how happy we once were is difficult but that doesn't mean we should forget them" Noelle took my hand "we were such good friends Kris. Don't you think we should try and be again?"

Her eyes sparkled with fear and hope all wrapped in one. With just that look I was transported back to when I was little and when everything was good. Feelings I thought were long buried began to reserface. I should have known I couldn't escape it.

"I'd like that" I placed a hand over her's "and maybe we could be more"

"Bahaha get real Kris" she punched my shoulder playfully "come on, let's get out of here"

"Alright" I followed her with a smile on my face. My harem is complete!
