Chapter 8

'Ah, now what do I do? I don't think they want to hear what I say' Ryunosuke thought as soon as he releases a sigh. He started to think for a moment, trying to find a way to make those two to listen to him.

And it only took a few seconds for him to get the answer, but he wasn't too pleased with it. 'It looks like I have no choice but to use my powers as the oldest member, I guess. Ughh!! I hate it that I need to this..'

He combed his dark brown hair roughly. "Listen to what I want to say, will you? It's unfair to me if you just blaming me for no good reason." He looked at both of them, his face looking serious.

"So, why don't you two take a seat so the three of us can talk about this like a mature adult. Oh, wait! You two are adults right, if I'm not mistaken," Ryunosuke said in a slightly sardonic tone as he gave them a closed eye smile. Gaku and Tenn swallowed hard. They know that menacing smiles too well until they can predict what will happen if they don't do what the man tells them to do.

Hastily they took their seats, each one next to Aoi. "Good." A word slipped out of Ryunosuke's mouth. "Let's get started, shall we?" They both nod, obediently.

'What's going on?' Aoi thought as she just sat there, watching the situation unfold before her eyes. Why are the two of them suddenly being so obedient? And Ryunosuke too. She could feel it as if he were turning into another person at that moment.

"How strange," muttered Aoi.

"About the two of us." He began. "There was nothing going on between me and Aoi-chan. You two were busy fighting at the back, so I thought it would be a bit silly to let her see the fight. So I took her to another table," explained Ryunosuke who has returned to his original self.

"Well... It is our fault for leaving Aoi alone." Gaku caresses the back of his neck, feeling guilty for his actions. They both came to that place for a talk but all he did was picking a fight with his younger member.

'This is so uncool..'

"I'm sorry Aoi for having you to see me behaving like that." Gaku tossed his look at the teenage girl with an apologetic face.

Aoi smiled a little before she grinned to reveal her white teeth. "Apology accepted. Then, can we start with our real conversation??"

"Sure!"

Before Gaku could open his mouth, the dark-haired man pulled out his hand, cutting off the air. (You know what I mean, right?)

"Whoops! Sorry again for interrupting the two of you but Gaku, do you know or not his surname?" Ryunosuke said as his hand rested on his left friend's grey hair shoulder.

"Ahh... When you say that, I really don't know. Hmm, Aoi... It looks like we both are tied. Should I continue telling you my surname?" The man carved a proud smile. As if he was impressive of himself that he didn't have to explain the reasons why he kept his surname as a secret.

"I've told you my last name at our first meeting. Don't you remember?" Aoi tilted her head a little, her fingers holding on her chin. "It's Takanashi. My name is Takanashi Aoi."

"Takahashi?!" said Gaku and Tenn simultaneously. Their tone of voice turns into a high pitch.

Gaku's reaction wasn't what she thinks. She was one hundred percent sure that she had told the man her family name but, what's up with that surprising reaction? Ryunosuke also gave her the same reaction earlier. 'Is there anything wrong with my surname?'

"Why are the three of you so surprised by my surname? What's wrong with it?" Aoi raised a question.

"Hmmm.. It's a bit difficult to explain from the middle."

"Then, how about you start with your surname. Maybe that could give her a clue." Tenn said, offering an idea.

"Alright! It's Yaotome. You better remember it," Gaku said with a sly grin. The three of them stared at her face, expecting that there would be a reaction to it. Unconsciously, their bodies leaning closer to the table.

"Ohh... Okay." Aoi gave a brief reply.

The answer resulted in the three men to lean back on their chair, crestfallen of what they heard. That's not what they are hoping for.

"Uhh... Do you expect another answer from me?", asked Aoi hesitantly. Looking at their empty faces, she couldn't help herself to feel bad.

"I'm sorry... If you expect me to know something, I really don't. There are many things I don't know yet in this world." Aoi lowered down her head. Somehow she was embarrassed by her lack of knowledge.

Gaku looked at her with a soft gaze. He patted the girl's head gently, causing Aoi to raise her head. "It's nothing. You don't have to worry about it. It's not that important, so it's okay if you don't know." He gives her a sweet smile.

"Really?"

"Uhuh!"

Aoi muttered a small thanks as she put a smile back on her face. "But can I find out why you don't want to tell me your family name?"

Gaku nodded his head. His hand ruffled her hair affectionately. If it were the other girls, they would have been angry because their hair had turned messy but for Aoi, she doesn't give a damn about it. She likes the feeling when someone plays with her hair. It put her at ease.

"The reason why I keep it a secret is that I'm an idol. The same goes for both of them. I was afraid that if I told you, you would leak it to outsiders because nobody except them and you knew I worked there."

"And if anyone else knows? What will happen?" She held Gaku's hand and laid it back on the table.

"I'll be fired," he said with a blunt face.

As soon as Aoi's ear heard the word 'fire', she began to panic. "I-I promise that I will not tell it to anyone else. I will keep it a secret. I promise so don't stop working."

"It seems like someone is starting to love you~" Tenn looked at his grey-haired friend, snickering and smirking.

"As a brother," retorted Aoi.

The sudden reply amazed Tenn. He turned his head towards the girl, noticing that the teen has mischievously stuck her tongue out. Strange enough but he doesn't feel angry at all. Truth be told, he thinks the girl's behaviour is actually cute. It amuses him.

'This girl is different' He thought.

"Are my eyes blind or do I see this right? Tenn doesn't feel mad to Aoi at all!" Ryunosuke whispered to Gaku. His eyes turned wide to see the extraordinary event.

"No, you're not because I see the same thing."

They both looked at each other before turning their heads back and found Tenn smiling warmly with Aoi, the two of them were conversing and laughing well enough. The aura around them felt joyful, especially to the pink-haired man. They both rub their eyes, not believing what their eyes see.

They wish that once they open their eyes again, Tenn will be the same old ones. However, that's not what happens.

'What happened to the cynical Tenn?!!'
