Chapter 13

"The gang's leader," she whispers.

"Did you say something?", Riku asked before tugging her hand, where she was dragged by the red-haired deep into the building. Aoi certainly didn't want to meet the guy, so she restrained herself from moving with her own two feet. However, nothing work as she's just a girl and the guy have much more energy than her. So to pull her all along with him is just an easy task.

"Oh, don't be like that. You'll like them as soon as you get to know them." Riku let go of her hand and pushed the girl from behind until they arrived at the front door. "We have arrived!", He said excitedly. Both of his hand sit still on her shoulder as the broad smile was etched on his sweet face.

Aoi let out a sigh before she peeked at Iori who had been quiet. She doesn't know why but the boy's face looks irritated and Aoi hopes that she's not the reason why he became that way. She didn't want to have anything to do with any of them. It was enough that she was close to Trigger. That alone has caused some tiny little problems for her and it such a pain in the ass.

"Let's go in, shall we?" Riku looked at her.

"Uhh.." Aoi stroked the back of her neck. "Uhm, you come in first. I need to do something.."

"Huh?" Riku gave her a strange look. "You didn't plan to escape, do you?"

"What? No, of course not. I..." She darted away, trying to find an excuse until she remembered something important. "I need to contact my coworker to tell her that I will send this box early tomorrow morning. Since you invited me to join your meal. That's it!"

"Hmm... All right! I guess I'll see you inside then," he said before vanished behind the door. Aoi let out a sigh of relief and looked at the door nervously.

"I should leave this place as soon as possible if I knew this was going to happen." She said, taking out her smartphone and typing some messages to Miyako, her senior at her workplace. After sending some short message, she turned her body around hoping that the red-haired man would not call her in and she would be able to escape the place silently until her head banged on something hard, making her body stumbled backwards.

"Uwaaah!", she lightly screams. Aoi closes her eyes, preparing for the impact but on a second later, when she feels her body seem to be hanging in the air, she flaps her eyes open slowly just to make eye contact with dark blue eyes. "Eh?" She looked at the boy's face, feeling stunning before her eyes fell on his right arm which was now circling behind her, holding her body from falling to the floor.

Iori looked at the girl who was now in his arms. His dark blue ones looked right back at his bright blue eyes. Honestly, he could never have expected that to happen. He had just finished arranging the food in the box according to the order in their group members too, you know to facilitate the distribution for later and then, he turned his body back to enter the room and accidentally, colliding with the girl. 'Thank god, I managed to get her before she fell' He sighs.

"I-Iori-san, right? Uhm, can you let me go? I feel uncomfortable with this position," said Aoi. Iori immediately corrected the girl's position so that she stood safely on the floor before letting go of his hand from her. He scratched his head awkwardly. "S-sorry about that.." He apologized as his cheeks dusting in light pink blush.

"It's okay. I'm just shocked, that's all." She shifted her eyes away. "Err... Thank you for saving me just now."

"Y-yeah. You want to take your leave?", He asked.

"Urk!" Aoi stands up straight, hearing the questions. Her mind begins to do its work again, searching for some logical answers to answer that question. However, feeling that she couldn't avoid the question, she slowly nodded her head.

Iori scrunched his face, letting go a small sigh. Though, it goes unnoticed by the girl. "You know, it might be good for you to join us once. Maybe it could change your perception of Yamato-san. He might be different from what you imagined about him. Well.." He paused. "That is my opinion though. Not that I can force you to join us. It's up to you whether you want or not. So then, goodbye," he said before walking past the girl.

Before Iori could reach the door handle, a tug on the end of his shirt stopped him. He looked back. "Is there something wrong?"

"M-Maybe, I can join you guys. After all, I already informed Miyako-san that I will come to work tomorrow morning." She raised her head upwards to look at Iori's face but as soon as their eyes met, Aoi's face began to turn deep red. "I-I agree not because of what you said earlier, okay. D-Don't get me w-wrong."

Iori just smiled a little. Seeing the girl blush shyly in front of him made his heart pound. Never in his life did he feel that way. This person was the first girl who was able to make him so. With his bare hands, he patted his head gently before gripping on the doors handle. "Let's go in," he said softly as he opened up the door wide.

"There he is! We've been waiting for our food, Iori" An orange-haired guy spoke. Both of his hand were at the side of his hips. "Why are you so.. Late... Are? Why is she here?" He pointed out his finger.

As soon as the man said that, everyone in the room looked at them both. Otoharu, Tsumugi and Banri were utterly shocked. "Aoi-chan?" Tsumugi started.

"Uhh... H-Hi?" Aoi waved her hands awkwardly, giving them a sheepish smile.
