We managed to get Annie out of the mansion with the fifty thousand dollar check. I wore a short brown wig. Annie didn't recognize me. We were in the truck, I sat in the back. Rooster was driving with Lily next to him. Annie was quiet as a mouse. The real reason I was there was for her own protection. We saw Miss. Hannigan disguised, Rooster pulled over and let her in next to Annie.

"Did ya get it? Did ya get it? Let me see it!"

Lilly gave her the check.

Annie realized it was all a scam.

"Mr. Warbucks help!" Annie shouted.

Lilly covered her mouth.

"Rememba, I'll give ya a cut of the money!" Rooster said to me.

"As long as you don't harm her."

Annie looked at me and gasped.

"Victoria! I thought you were my friend!"

"I am Annie! They forced me into it ok? I'm still your best friend!"

Miss. Hannigan turned to Rooster.

"Rooster, little brother, listen to me, this might come as a bit of a shock to you, Victoria is Emmy Lou's kid."

Rooster's eyes widened in shock. He looked at me.

"She doesn't look a damn thing like her! Emmy Lou has a much different hair color and eye color!"

Miss. Hannigan grabbed my face and she stared for a few seconds.

"Oh my god!"

"What?"

"I remember something else other than Emmy Lou. You and her made love while you were dating. She left right after! How long has it been?"

"Close to fourteen years!"

"Take a good look at her Rooster!"

Rooster looked at me while he kept driving.

"Isn't it obvious!?" Miss. Hannigan screamed.

Rooster was stunned. Lilly looked me and gasped.

"I know this was all before we met but...oh my god!"

"Rooster? Rooster!? Are you ok?" Miss. Hannigan asked.

Rooster was shocked! He was my dad!

"I can't believe it," Rooster mumbled to himself.

We looked at him.

"No wonder she has sticky fingas! She's a Hannigan! I had no idea! I'm so stupid! Sis, ya shoulda told me earlier. I mean, every time she was with me, I felt like my heart was warm!"

Miss. Hannigan was cackling like a witch.

"You? Warm?"

Rooster sighed, then smiled.

"Now ya gotta good excuse to do as i say girl! I'm ya daddy!"

"Aw don't start with me Rooster!" I said.

Annie decided to changed the subject.

"Excuse me...I gotta go."

Annie turned to Lilly.

"I mean it lady, you gotta go, you gotta go."

I knew she was pretending. I went along.

"Let the girl out, she has to take a pee."

Rooster pulled over. Miss. Hannigan let her out but when she did, Annie stomped her foot, took the check and started running.

"Rooster grab her! She's got the check!"

I ran with her.

"Annie come on!"

"Victoria get back here!"

I ignored her. Me and Annie ran towards the train track. The truck drove next to us. Annie stopped and ripped up the check as quickly as she could.

"Annie, hurry!" I said.

They got out of the truck.

"She ripped up the check!" Lilly yelled as she started picking up the pieces.

"Mr. Warbucks will eat your livers!" Annie yelled.

"I'll kill ya ya little brat! I'll kill ya!" Rooster yelled.

We continued running. All of a sudden, I heard this from Miss. Hannigan.

"Rooster! Rooster! She's a baby! And Victoria's your own child!"

Rooster ignored her as he ran after us. We found a bridge to climb on.

"Come back here!"

We started climbing. Rooster was stopped by Miss. Hannigan.

"Rooster stop! Annie maybe a rotten little orphan but you can't kill her! Victoria's your kid!"

"I don't care! Get offa me ya coot!"

She tried but he was stronger than she was.

"Stop it!"

Miss. Hannigan got knocked out by Rooster. He continued after us.

"I thought you said you wouldn't hurt her!" I shouted.

"I wasn't until she ripped up our check! I don't care if you're my kid, I'll kill ya!"

We kept going up. I heard sirens all over. I looked down and saw Mr. Warbucks and Grace watching us. The police were there, firemen, etc. We stopped at the top. It was scary! Rooster grabbed Annie and me. He got us. She was screaming and crying.

"Rooster stop this right now before you get all three of us killed!"

"I don't care if your my kid!"

"I don't care if your my father neither!"

We saw Punjab on a helicopter.

"Punjab! Help me! Help me Punjab! Help!" Annie said.

Punjab got her.

"Victoria get on!"

"Let me deal with this guy!"

Punjab nodded as they left with Annie safe and sound.

"Annie's safe and sound, you won't go near her again. Now, how about me!? Huh! Kill me!"

"I might as well!" Rooster yelled.

He didn't let go of me, let me fall.

"What are you waiting for Dad!?"

He just stared at me.

"You're just mad! Because the money's gone. That's it. You're so used to stealing and getting what you want no matter what. You really don't wanna kill us...what would Mom say if she was with all of us back there? If it weren't for her leaving, we would be one happy family, you would've been a better person with her. You loved her so much, madly! You wanted to start a family of your own but she left! I'm sorry we don't like each other, don't get along as people. You said you liked me when we met! It felt good to impress you! Mom's still out there somewhere, I know she is! Think about this Daddy."

I kissed him on the cheek out of nowhere.

"Go turn yourself in. I could bail you out and we'll talk more later. I love you."

Rooster froze for a couple seconds and looked down at the trampoline below him.

"Let go," He said quietly.

I let go. He landed on the trampoline.

"Rooster you reprobate!" Miss. Hannigan said.

I wanted to get down myself. I climbed down slowly. I saw Annie hugging Grace and Mr. Warbucks.

When I got down, Miss. Hannigan ran to hug me.

"Oh Vicki! You are so brave! Are you ok?"

"I'm fine Miss. Hannigan."

"You don't have to call me that no more. Aunt Agatha, that's ok."

The rest of them ran to me. Grace gave me a hug.

"Vicki! You're ok."

Mr. Warbucks hugged me too. Aunt Agatha hugged Annie.

"Are you ok Annie?"

"Yes Miss. Hannigan."

We were all safe and sound.
