Nat's POV

"Hi Miss! What can I do for you?" asked a girl as soon as I entered the building.

"I have an appointment with Mr. Fury" I said and the girl nodded smiling, saying he was waiting for me in his office.

The time in the elevator felt endless. Why was I so nervous? It was for my safety that I was there.
A part of me was scared that my new bodyguard was the person that was sending those letters.

When the elevator doors opened I started walking towards Fury's office and I was about to knock on the door when it opened.
Fury was there, smiling and invited me in.

"Here you are! Let me introduce you your new personal bodyguard, Mr. James Barnes" he said pointing to a man who was standing in the opposite side of the office.

He was probably around my same age, tall with dark hair. And his eyes, oh my God, I was lost the moment I saw them.

"Nice to meet you, please call me Bucky" he said smiling.

"Nice to meet you too" I said shaking his hand and smiling too.

"Well, now that you two met we can talk about your job, Mr. Barnes" Fury said "Do you remember what I told you?".

"Yes" Bucky said " I have to stay with her 24/7 and protect her. If something happens to her I will be responsible and pay the consequences".

Fury nodded and then invited us to leave since he had a very important meeting.

We got to my car in complete silence, none of us knew what to say.

"I usually go get a coffee and then go home at this time, are you joining me or not?" I said while the driver was opening the car door.

Bucky smiled and entered the car too.
This was going to be interesting.
