''Bondita?'' a distant voice rang in my head as I opened my eyes a jiffy, I saw two eyes looking at me with concern, a hand on my thighs, I recognised them to be Anirudh's.

I was seated in between many elegant guests dressed poshly, I suddenly felt out of place. The gentle hold of his hand was the only thing that kept me sane.

''So how many years since you've got married, you look quite young Mrs Roy'' an elegant man in his late 50's named Joseph said, placing a morsel of food into his mouth, I froze, looking at Anirudh's similar expression, I saw his larynx drop down in a gulp.

Anirudh linked his fingers together and leaned forward on his elbows ''Well umm, you see, uh'' he cleared his throat ''Three years, three years since we got married'' he beautifully lied, showing three with his fingers, a nervous smile on his face.

I heard Meredith cough beside me, while Edward shook his head and gave her water, I looked at her frowning, she gave me a smug smile and raised an eyebrow impressed, such a dirty liar he is. 

''She's just 20, Mr Anirudh, you got married so young?'' Joseph asked, tilting his head, Anirudh just gave an elegant chuckle.

''Since when is 18 so young Joseph, this isn't something that's so important'' he says dropping his arms over my shoulders, making me hunch.

''Just play along darling'' he whispered in my ears, I quickly nodded obediently, clearing my throat and taking a bite from my fork. 

''Just asking Anirudh, well, she's pretty, good for you, you'll have beautiful children I swear'' Joseph's wife Linda quips, looking at me lovingly, Anirudh banged the table suddenly making it rattle, taking a sip from his drip, his grip on the glass so tight that I could see his knuckles whiten. 

I have a nervous smile and played with my food, chewing on my lips, where did I end up trapped? I closed my eyes tight in frustration. 

''Yes, Linda's right, she's actually very beautiful'' I heard a new masculine voice, I turned my head to look at a man with a slightly lopsided smirk, his hands dug into his pocket as his sly eyes observed me, shamelessly, I suddenly felt exposed and uncomfortable under his gaze. He looked like he was 30. 

''Ah professor Alfred, what a pleasure'' Anirudh smiled, his chair creaked as he pushed himself away from the table, standing up, walking toward's the man's extended arms. 

I shifted uncomfortably in my seat as Alfred looked at me through Anirudh's shoulder, his eyes never faltering from mine, an unfathomable expression on his face, his smile disgusted me. 

''The famous wife! What an honour to meet your spouse my boy'' Alfred says laughing patting Anirudh's shoulders, Anirudh simply shook his head and smiled politely. 

''Alfred Thames, the Criminal Law professor at King's College, a pleasure to meet my student for the first time'' he comes towards me, taking my hand in his and pressing his lips on my skin, not to elaborate, that disgusted me, I didn't like this man one bit.

His thumb ran over my skin, making me want to itch, I quickly retreated my hand from his, getting a frown from Anirudh, he glared at me and mouthed 'Behave', I looked down and nodded. 

''Please sit Professor'' Anirudh says patting the chair opposite to him, I never bothered to look up. 

The whole dinner passed in my silence, getting glances from the professor, the moment my eyes locked with his, I found that expression, this man is a pervert, I knew it from the first glance. 

''I told you to behave! He's supposed to be your professor! What is wrong with you? Are you trying to embarrass me?'' Anirudh asked the moment we got into his car, my heart dropped. 

''Can you ever be kind to me? Stop giving me false hopes'' I burst out, tired of his mood swings, sometime he's sweet and sometimes sour as a lemon. It hurts more than it was supposed to, never in my dreams I imagined him to end up this cold, who made him like this? 

''I'm being kind, you need to fit in between all these people, I'm practical and serious'' he answer glancing at me, I chew on my lip and look at the road in front of me, it look like a stranded place. 

''This place scares, the college is so far from the Central London'' I say playing with the hem of my lace, I looked at his face, his eyes squinting as the air hit his eyes and his hair flew backwards, the ring of his face popping with his grip on the steering wheel, never knew when he undid the buttons of his shirt. 

''I know, we need to get back home fast, seems like it'll rain soon'' he says softly pressing his shoe on the accelerator making the vehicle go faster. 

But his words came true, just too fast, before I knew it, drops of water fell on us, I looked up and it became a downpour, drenching us and the no-roof car completely. 

''Fuck, it's freaking raining cats and dogs, we need to hold up'' he says turning the car quickly , the veins of his neck becoming prominent as the lens of his glasses spotted with droplets from his dripping hair. 

I licked my wet lips and smiled, I closed my eyes and felt the rain, I always love rain, when I used to be a little girl, I always loved dancing in the rain, the moment the car stopped in front of a strange building, there was none in sight, I stepped out. 

I removed my shoes and thrust it into a confused Anirudh's hands, I picked my gown and held it up, removing the coat that covered my shoulders, I let the water drench me, the heavy rain melting my insides.

A toothy smile broke out on my face in pure joy and I shut my eyes in the feeling of ecstasy. Never knew London rain felt this good, felt like home. 

I looked at Anirudh who stood rooted on the spot, his hands came up and removed his glasses, getting a good at me with his unexplainable expression, his lips parted in awe, I swear a small smile break out on his lips watching me. 

''C'mon Sir Barrister, relax for once in your life'' I shout over the heavy rain at him, making him shake his head and chuckle, he looked at me through his lashes that were wet, his curly hair sticking onto his forehead. 

He placed my shoes into the car, and removed his heavy coat, revealing his white dress shirt that clung onto his, he rolled up his sleeves softly, shaking his wrist, letting the water go off his expensive watching.

Combing his hair backwards he walked towards me, his shoes splashing water everywhere, I walked towards him and grabbed his shoulders, looking up to meet his height.

''Now relax there muscles a bit, you deserve some rest'' I say childishly making a grin break out on his lips, he grabbed my wrist and ran his fingers down my hands and gripped my hips, feeling the my wet cloth. 

He lifted me up, making me squeal, my legs dangling in the air. He walked in circles making me grip his hands tightly, he looked up at me through the heavy rain and gave me a toothy smile, it melted my heart. 

He left me for a quick second before holding me back in the mid, I stopped breathing for a quick second, I looked down and glared at him. 

''If you can be fun, then so can I little village girl'' he jokes placing me back onto the road, he bend down and wrapped his hand under my thighs and my back and picked me up in bridal style. I squeaked in joy. 

He twirling me in the air, making me throw my head backwards and laugh, he craned his head down at me, chuckling along with me, for this first time, I felt happy after years, it felt surreal. 

''Never knew you knew fun, I underestimated you didn't I?'' he asked linking our hands together as we walked into the building, drenched in rain, I nodded in response.

I was taken by the sight in front of me, why where women standing in a line and men choosing one taking them upstairs, I craned my neck and looked up and gasped when I read the sign.

''Brothel?!'' I shout in surprise looking at his embarrassed expression, he rubbed the back of his neck and chuckled nervously.

''There's no other place to stay love, we have no other choice'' he says softly but I looked at his accusingly.

''You couldn't find any place filthier than this?'' I ask, punching his shoulders, he didn't budge. 

''Do I have a choice?'' he argues ''There is no other place in miles''

I sigh heavily and nodded, feeling uncomfortable in this atmosphere, he reached the reception and placed his hand on the table making the man looking between us with a mischievous expression in his eyes. 

''How many hours?'' the man ask making Anirudh bite the inside of his cheek, his jaw clenched as he looked at the man, squinting. 

''We are not here for that'' I speak, cringing what the man meant that I was his one night stand, this is creepy.

''Yes we, sorry she's too talkative, we'll take umm, 5 hours'' Anirudh's says much to my surprise, I look at him accusingly.

''Oh so much time, seems like you're having a good time Sir Barrister'' I gasped when the guy recognised, Anirudh kept his nonchalant expression on his face, leaning on the desk and smirking. 

''I always love having a good time, Josh'' he winks at the man, biting his lips, the other man nodded smirking, running his eyes over me. 

''What was the need for that?'' I snap at him as he pulled me to the side, I placed my hand on my hips and squinted my eyes. 

''This is a brothel, darling, the expect you to bring women for sex, you need to merge in if we need a night's stay here'' he explains, rubbing his wet hair. 

''Oh don't tell me we are staying here'' I yell, my hands in the air in frustration, I can't imagine being in a brothel. 

''Yes, and stay here, I'll come in a few, I need to pick something from the car, don't move, this is not a safe place, yes?'' he says moving my wet locks from my shoulder, and I saw care and fear in his deep eyes, I nodded.

He walked away and I stood there, leaning onto the wall, my eyes shutting in tiredness. 

''Well look who's here all alone'' I heard a familiar voice that send chills down my body, I snapped my head towards the side and I found my suspicion right. 

''Professor Alfred?'' I whisper, my throat going dry, the look on his face was malicious, I knew this man wasn't right.

''Guessed right darling'' he chuckles darkly, walking towards me, it felt my fear coming towards me in an inhuman pace. 

''Seems like you 'made up' husband left you in a brothel, the irony'' he tsks grabbing my biceps, pulling me towards me, his touch send burns across my body. My breathing stopped when I noticed that he knows our truth. 

''I know you girl, Anirudh always had been an amazing student, but he is the best liar, he's a barrister of course, has a way with his words, so believable, but I can see that lie right through you'' he seethes his face inches from mine.

''No you won't say things like that! Don't you know I with your own student!'' I snap pulling my hand from him, but he doesn't budge, I grimace when his grip tightened. 

''You're nothing to him! Well why being such a waste? Come with me darling'' he shamelessly say making fury tears fill my eyes, I look to my side for Anirudh, but he was nowhere to be seen. 

''I'll tell him who you really are, I'll tell him what you are doing to me now, I'll tell you are shameless pevert who lives in a brothel'' I threated, tugging my hands from his. 

''If you do, I will say your truth to the entire world, so it's a deal come with me, your secret will be safe, he won't know mine and he will never know what happened between us, how can such a young girl like you stay like this? I appreciate Anirudh for all that self control on what's in his pants cause I can't'' I wanted to throw up at his words, who'll help me in a brothel?

I felt helpless, just like how I felt when my mother was knifed, I cry left my lips before I pulled my hand with all strength and I got free, before he could grab me again, I ran, tucking my gown in waist.

He was faster, but I ran till I got hit by those billion raindrops, its downpour heavier that I couldn't see anything, I could hear Alfred's voice from my back.

Squinting my eyes, I saw a silhouette of man, its shadow too familiar even in the rain.

I ran towards him, not caring that my feet hurt cause it was bare, he faced opposite to me, I ran and stood in front of him, he was taken aback.

''Anirudh'' I breathed, my tears mixing with the rain, cascading down my red skin, my chest rose and fell in an angry pace. I saw concern in his eyes as he looked at me in worry.

His hand held my shoulders and ran his eyes over my body, looking for any wounds, when he didn't find any, he relaxed.

I look at Alfred who froze a few paces behind Anirudh, I looked at him through Anirudh's shoulders, my lips quivered in fear.

''What happened to you? Why are crying? And shivering? I told you stay there, Bondita answer me what happ-'' I never knew what came over me but before I let him finish his words, my hand went up and grabbed his face.

Closing my eyes shut and let my heart take control and I crashed my lips onto his wet parted ones, my brows creased in the force.

His whole body froze at my action, I could feel his heart beat fast and his eyes widen, pressing my lips on his for a few seconds, I pulled back, looking at his shocked face, his expression priceless, I knew he never expected his.

''I-I am sorry, I never meant to-'' his fingers pressed on mine, followed by his 'hush', he searched my eyes for a quick second before pulling his hands from my mouth.

''You have no idea'' was what I heard before he came crashing down on me, his lips moulded into mine so fast that my whole body erupted in flames, his hand came to my cheeks, grazing my ears as he kissed me deeper, he tilted his head for more space, and before I knew I kissed his back.

He ran his tongue over my lower lips before pushing it into my mouth, my soul never felt more alive, I never knew a single kiss could make your whole life make sense.
