Dear Diary,
It's a new day, and I am looking forward to the verdict, the fame and success I earned in London will never go worthless. I know that my hard work will pay off.
If I win, people will all around Great Britain will know my name, So I hope it's a success that is awaiting me.
There is nothing more I have to write, Exhaustion is killing me, gnawing me bare, I need a good night's sleep, my whole body feels like a burden but that will never stop me from being who I am.
I sighed deeply as I decided to close my book of leather, that is when I noticed the piece of silk cloth tied on my bedsit, it used to be hers when it ripped into my arm, I have kept it till today, my jaw clenched at her lies and treachery, that was the end.
I took my pen and tightened my palms with pressure.
I miss her.
I wrote those three words I had never written for years, I gave up to the temptation, I couldn't help, shutting the diary harshly I kicked my shoes off my feet as it tumbled off somewhere into the huge bedroom, designed magnificently and intricately by the best architect of London, my house is one of the most expensive residences till date.
I placed my head on my plush pillow while I tried my best to close my eyes, but sleep just couldn't hit me. I tried hard to shut my eyes but something was triggering.
A feminine voice came into my head haunted me.
''I-I am an outcast, please don't t-touch me''
''I don't want to marry so I ran away''
''Umm I wanted to thank you''
''Just leave me alone!''
''I am infertile, I had a miscarriage''
''Bondita!'' I gasped as beads of sweat came down the sharp edge of my jawline, I wiped them away with the back of my palms and breathed deeply, my hand clutching my heart.
''What is wrong with me?'' I whisper grabbing the glass of water from the nightstand and placing them on my lips, the water going down my throat.
''What the hell is wrong with me!'' I curse sitting down on the rugged floor, I heard the door open and close simultaneously, I felt someone's presence beside me.
I looked up to see two beautiful embers looking down at me, those delicate tendrils falling on her face, that beautiful frame I have never seen in years, I felt my heart on my throat, my breath hitching.
There is no way she can be here, no way, she is far away from me, away in Bengal, I am here in London, I am hallucinating.
But she looked so real, not faux, just as ethereal as before, like how I always dreamed her, there is no way she could be unreal.
''Bondita?'' I whisper weakly, running my eyes down her figure as she extended her delicate hand to me, a knowing smile touching her lips, her bangles chiming. She simply nodded blinking at me.
As I softly raised my hand, I felt fingers snap in front of me, making me shut my eyes tight and look up again.
''Malik? Malik! (Sir)'' I heard Bihari's voice waking me up from my imagination, he is my Father's trusted servant who came with me for my daily chores, I looked up at him in rage-filled confusion.
''What is wrong with? Why is my brain creating these hallucinations of her, after all this time? Today? Why?'' I boomed at him, he simply shuddered.
''Please get up Malik'' he says as I grab his hand, lifting me up, I dust my shirt and sighs deeply.
''I am so sorry, go to sleep Bihari, I will see you later'' I whisper patting his back, he blinks at me before walking away, it's good of him that he didn't invade my privacy.
I tucked myself inside my warm flannels and closed my eyes, this time sleep invading my senses, driving me into an abyss of slumber.
I clutched little Aarushi's arm tightly as I placed my feet on the ground of Britain, the city that I dreamt of was now in front of me, it all felt surreal.
''And who and are you miss?'' a voice shocked me, I knew their language thanks to that person who left me to fend today, I frowned when he clutched my hand.
I shot my head towards a man who looked like he was in his mid 50's, his touch sizzled and burned my skin, it felt uncomfortable.
''Indian woman I see, young and beautiful, meant for us men'' his venomous words slipped from his lips and I winced, is this the way they treat Indian women?
''Please let me go sir'' I snap tugging my hand, but a sinister smile lined his lips and his grip tightened, fury coursed through me.
''I will when you tell me your name'' he whispered coming closer to me, his perfect white skin flawless, he disgusts me, people here are cursed.
''S-Saudamini R-Roy Choudhary'' I stutter just like how Zamindarni asked me to say, I saw his grip loosen while his face became pale.
''The wife of Barrister Anirudh Roy Choudhary?'' he asks moving a few paces away, I nodded vigorously.
''I am extremely sorry for my behaviour, please don't tell sir that I did this'' he started sweating profusely, I was taken aback by the change of his demeanour.
I nodded half-heartedly as he escorted me to a motor car that was etched - Barrister Anirudh Roy Choudhary, 18-Oxford Lane, Dale, Nottingham, England.
I looked around the beautiful country lined with tall buildings, it looked like a city that just descended from the heavens, the River Thames flowed beside us while the Big ben Chimed, I ran my eyes through the majestic London Bridge.
''Where are you taking me?'' I ask him with curiosity as I clutched little Aarushi.
''The London High Court'' he says vaguely.
The motor car stopped in front of the largest court my eyes ever saw, I stepped out, adjusting my saree, catching attention around, from men dressed in the perfect British robes, the tendrils of my hair fluttered in the wind as I walked, tightening my grip on my bag.
''Who are you actually miss? You are not allowed inside'' a person says politely, I open my mouth but I say nothing, how many more lies should I build?
''Bon-Saudamini Roy Choudhary'' I whisper plastering a faux smile, I am a complete Phony person.
''Oh sweet jesus, we never expected your presence here madam, Sir Roy Choudhary will be delighted to hear about your arrival, I will let him know this moment'' he muses before walking away like a jolly man. I couldn't help but chuckle.
I sat on the chairs beside us and looked around, trying to drink in its magnificence, so this is where he works, his hard work paid well, he deserves it.
''Is this London, mother?'' Aarushi asks tugging my dress, I nodded before pressing my lips onto the skin of her head.
I turned my head to the side when I heard the sound of incoming clicks of shoes, my breath hitched when I saw that one man who could be so effortlessly flawless.
I saw him walking towards me while his glasses sat on the bridge of his nose, his artistic fingers working through the parchment on his hand, his black barrister robes fluttering backwards, I noticed the stubble lining on his face, his hair grew longer making the sleek backwards.
He grew up to be broader and muscular, he aged well, just like wine, his face held authority and power, just like how I wanted him to.
I stood up and walked towards him, halting a few paces in front of him, I saw his eyes widen in horror, an unexplainable expression painted on his face as his removed his glasses.
''No way'' he mouth thrust the papers into the hands of the man beside him.
A small smile touched my lips as Aarushi hid behind me, holding onto the edge of the dress.
''Hello Zamindar'' I whisper softly, expecting him to show me his beautiful smile.
''Another hallucination, now instead of seeing Mini, I see you Bondita? Can you just stop getting into my head? Can you just leave me alone? I am tired of this, I know you are real so piss off!'' I was stunned beyond imagination at his words which came out loud and rough.
I never expected embraces and smile from him anyway, but at least gentle words or a welcome? No, all his words held was hatred all the way. I felt my eyes getting glossier.
''Hallucination? This time it's not Zamindar, you are wrong this time'' I snap with the last ounce of courage left in me, before turning to walk away, I am heart-broken and furious beyond control, curse you Anirudh Roy.
''Wait''
