ONE OF US IS LYING

On the first day of school at Bayview High, five students enter detention, but only four come out alive;
And all of them have secrets to kill for.

'Guys, take off those board shorts. Girls, pack up the bikinis. Summer's officially over and school is back in session, and you know what that means: So am I.
As long as we're forced to co-exist in the hellscape that is high school, I am going to reveal the truth about all of you miserable assholes, just like I did last year, when I leaked some photos that got half the basketball team expelled.
Helped a lot of couples see each other for who they really are. And of course, I kept you up to date with the who's who of addicts, anorexics and alcoholics.
Privacy is a thing of the past. I know everything that went down this summer. And on Friday night, I'll take down four of Bayview's biggest offenders.'

Ronnie Macauley skimmed the brand-new 'About That' article; which just bored into the fact that she had to go back to that shit-hole today. She unplugged her phone and rolled over to the other side of the bed, continuing the article;

'First up, I have a bad report card on a straight-A student making her About That debut. She might be top of her class, but that doesn't mean I can't get her thrown out on her ass.'

Ronnie scoffed at the terrible rhyme Simon placed into this paragraph; probably trying to make up for his lack of findings. Who cared about a shitty report card?

'Now, I know you school spirit sheep can't wait to cheer on the Wildcats this year. But trust me, I'll be the real winner when I reveal one MVP's sweaty locker room secret.'

Ronnie's eyebrows raised at this one. It was ominous, and could mean a lot of things; all of which could be bad. It wouldn't be the first time Simon outed someone on 'About That'. Ronnie grimaced and read on.

'I know you all like a good love story, but I prefer a bad one. So I can't wait to tell you which of Bayview's varsity skank squad isn't as wrapped around her boyfriend's finger as much as you might've thought. Turns out, she's been wrapped around another guy's... well, you know.'

Cheating. An 'About That' usual. Ronnie wasn't really surprised, she's seen it all before; you'd think people would've stoped cheating by now. Ronnie wondered who it could be. Her mind drifted to a certain blonde cheerleader who frequently occupied her mind. No, Ronnie. No way. Even if it was Addy Prentiss who cheated on her disgusting horrible boyfriend, she wouldn't be into you; she cheated with someone else, remember? Her eyes scanned down, and she immediately knew who the next paragraph was about.

'My final story on Friday will be about one of my regulars: Bayview's most eligible felon. I know, even I've gotten bored of writing about how everyone wants to fսck a bad boy. But believe me, I've got so much fresh dirt, his probation officer's gonna fսckin' bury him in it.'

That last sentence worried Ronnie, so she flicked her brother a quick message. He wasn't home, God knows where he is, and he shot one right back.

RONNIE:
Nathaniel where the hell are you? You're my ride, remember? Also, check About That once you're finished being a filthy whore.

NATE:
Yeah, yeah, Veronica. I'll be home soon.

'I know that coming back to school sucks, but I'm here to promise that it will not be boring.'

Veronica rolled out of bed, and then glanced at the time; shit. She was going to be late.

"Holy shit! Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck!"

She quickly threw on whatever clothes she could find from the ground, giving them a quick sniff test. Ronnie sprinted outside just as her brother pulled up on their lawn, revving his motorcycle extremely obnoxiously.

"Hey whore bag."

"Just get on already before I decide to leave without you," Nate said with a smile on his face as Ronnie pulled her hair up and jumped on the back.

"Let's kick it slut."

As the Macauley siblings walked into the cafeteria, they gave each other that look. The look of 'fuck, do we really have to be here right now?' They sighed and parted ways, Ronnie strolled over to see if she could find a table, just as yet another gorgeous girl started bombarding Nate with questions.

Just as Ronnie arrived at the table full of her 'friends', or more the people she tolerated and sat with so she didn't look like the absolute loser she actually is; her phone went off.

'I know I said you'd have to wait until Friday, but looking at all of you and your boring, predictable little cliques, talking about the same predictable bullshit, makes me realize that it is my moral duty to do something to make this day more interesting.
So here's a little taste to hold you over until the end of the week. By now, most of you have probably noticed the new girl, FJ, making friends with the theatre nerds.'

Ronnie looked up, and just about everyone else in the room did. Her eyes landed on an Asian girl with space buns and put a face to the name.

'She may look harmless, but don't be fooled by her innocent smile. Turns out, she's only here because she got kicked out of her last school for stabbing her English teacher in the back... literally. Good thing her daddy's rich, or she'd be eating lunch behind bars right now.'

FJ looked around as everyone at her table got up and left, and Ronnie felt kinda bad for her. Then again; she did commit an actual crime.

'I promised this year wouldn't be boring. And I never break a promise.'

Ronnie turned and saw Simon Kelleher, with a smug expression on his ugly, rat-like face. She then saw Addy Prentiss, with a gorgeously wide and sparkly smile on her stunning and angel-like face. Addy gave Ronnie a little wave, and Ronnie waved back. Then that stupid Jake Riordan looked up and made eye contact with Ronnie, so she quickly pulled her hand down and walked out.

chapter one! finally got it out whoops sorry it's taken so long. it's kinda short in terms of substance, but long in terms of word count.

do we like the format of me putting in all of the about that article, or would we prefer just like a ronnie-sypnosis kinda thing (lmk in the comments)

the rest of ep one will be out (hopefully) sometime this week, it'll just take me a little longer, and each episode will be spilt into a few chapters, depending how many words. (just don't want 7000000 word chapters and then a 400 word one lol.)
