❝YOUR VOICE IS A GIFT, QUINN. IT'S A SHAME YOU DON'T USE IT, YOU COULD BE BIG❞
❝I USE MY VOICE TO REACH OTHER PEOPLE, NOT FAME. BESIDES, MY FAMILY COULD REALLY USE IT❞
LIVING IN LARGE CITIES WAS NOT EASY, IT REQUIRED MONEY AND WEALTH, A STEADY INCOME WAS ALSO NECESSARY. But for the Maddox family, they had always struggled, they never had the money needed to be properly cared for. Well, that may have been stretching it. They never had money to spare, not even a dime, nor a nickel, even a penny was used completely. They had lived in London all of their lives and though they adored the big city with lots of attractions and beautiful memories, it was not easy to keep well. But no matter the circumstance, they had one person they could look to, and that person was their Saviour. They were a Christian family, one that attended church every Sunday morning, and since Lena Maddox was always working nights, Quinn and her brother attended Wednesday night services alone. But the church was their sanctuary, somewhere they could go to find peace and hope.
However, even that wasn't enough. They needed money to buy their food, their clothes, their water, their taxes. They never gave thought to Christmas presents, yet they celebrated the holiday wholeheartedly. There was no room in the budget to buy even a small toy, so their presents was the dinner prepared for them as they sat at the small dining room table. Their flat was old and worn down, but they worked hard, every member of the family, to keep what little they did have organized and well-maintained. But to earn money for her family, Quinn discovered she had a gift. She was only seven years old when the pastor at Hope City Church recognized her talent and encouraged her to use it. So every day on her way home from her public school, she would stop at Boundary Gardens and sing her little heart out. She would make her own living of small bills and loose change, but every bit counted, and gradually she would add it to her mother's wallet so the woman wouldn't get suspicious of where the money appeared from. Quinn knew her mother wouldn't want her to have to pity her with the money she earned by herself, but she did it anyway.
But as time progressed and she grew older, she started sacrificing weekend plans and date offers from classmates just so she could go to Boundary Gardens and perform. She didn't see it as a chore, she saw it as a blessing. And her love for music grew when at fourteen she was offered a position in her church choir, and she was paid for it, little by little, so she found a new way to help her mother.
She had everything she needed by her side - her mum, her brother, her music - and more, even when there was no money to spare. She was happy, and she had proven that no one needed money to be so, they needed a family that would support their decisions. So when she graduated high school in her beloved city, she was granted scholarships upon scholarships from her church and small organizations to attend the Royal College of Music, and with her best friend, they journey into their own apartment and share their profound love of singing and making music with their city.
But on one Christmas Eve night where the stars are brightly shining and the air is filled with holiday spirit, Quinn tugs her best friend along with her to her weekly service at Hope City Church and joins her family for a night to remember. And when the Christian girl steps onto stage and sings "Mary Did You Know" for the entire congregation, one man in the audience who attends church only for special occasions with his family took notice of her angelic voice and vowed to find out who this girl is.
All it took was on Christmas Eve for Tom Holland to have his heart captured by one girl. And he wasn't going to let this feeling of warmth and love blow away from him. He needed to find who this girl with the angelic voice, and he needed to do it soon.
After all, money is no issue when it comes to love.
STARRING -
DOVE CAMERON AS QUINN MADDOX
❝I MEAN, I GUESS MY VOICE IS FINE. IT'S NOTHING SPECTACULAR❞
LESLEY FERA AS LENA MADDOX
❝I'M SUPPOSED TO TAKE CARE OF YOU, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND❞
PEYTON MEYER AS RYAN MADDOX
❝SHE'LL NEVER ADMIT IT, QUINN, BUT YOUR TALENT IS WHAT HOLD US UP❞
SOFIA CARSON AS LUCIA MENDES
❝WAS THAT TOM HOLLAND YOU WERE TALKING TO? HE IS MIGHTY HOT. OH SHOOT, WE'RE STILL IN CHURCH❞
PLEASE UNDERSTAND;
i love this, i think it's adorable. of course, if you aren't comfortable with the Christian church, this isn't for you. quinn is a pure, little church girl, so she believes in abstinence and stuff, so no frickle frackle with tom unless you're planning for them to be married.
money is a huge thing in this, and you can't just dismiss it. quinn discovers she can sing because of money, so like, she should still send her mom money every month from her street earnings because even though she's in college, going to boundary gardens and singing after classes has become a daily routine.
her and tom should meet when she sings at christmas eve service at her church and he's like 'wow, who is that' and he goes to meet her after service and stuff.
she's very humble and isn't full of herself. so don't make her flaunt her talent, she's very quiet and shy and doesn't like a lot of praise. this should be a slow burn because she AGAIN is very quiet
her father isn't in the picture, he died after her brother was born which is why he can't pay child support and stuff.
and she lives with lucia in an apartment close to campus. it's a music school but don't make lucia a singer, too. and just because she doesn't live with her family anymore doesn't mean she isn't close to them
her brother should be about fifteen / sixteen
this can be social media and real life or just real life. you can't really do this with just social media.
that's it. thanks!
