The Female of the Species
Status;

Description;
The female is often the most vicious of a species
Plot;
Alex Cane
was full of anger.
She was a simple girl. One with a love for no one and a hate for everyone. She kept to herself and got her work done; no questions asked. She's been this way since her sister was murdered two years ago and the murderer walked free.
Queens, New York was a large city but the rape, assault, and torture of Anna Cane had spread quickly around the city and everyone recognized Alex as the girl with the sister who was murdered.
She had never been great at making friends before the murder because she had her sister and didn't need them. But she will find that she does when the murderer gets off without any prison times since the evidence against him was insufficient.
Alex took matters into her own hands and a month after the killing of her sister she planned out her own murder.
She went on jogs around the horrifying outskirts of the city for two weeks so it wasn't strange when she was there on the day of the murder. She made friends with the old woman in the ground apartment on her route so she would have an alibi.
Two weeks later, Hank Clover was found murdered in his apartment with no evidence left behind.
The case was closed.
Alex lived on.
She never felt guilty for the crime she committed because it's a lesser crime than was done to her sister - the light of her life and the only reason she would smile. She walked the halls of her school with her head down and her assignments out. She was valedictorian without even trying. She didn't listen to the whispers in the hallways or the gossip spreading through the school about who had broken up with who. She wasn't planning on going to college. She just wanted to live her life.
That was fine with her.
But not Peter Parker.
He had - like everyone else at Midtown - had classes with her since they were learning to write their names. They never talked, just knew each other. He had - like everyone else - watched as she crumbled at her sister's death when they found Anna's lifeless body underneath a bridge with a ton of highschool and adult volunteer search parties. He had - like everyone else - let her live her life and didn't pay her any mind.
After all, she was the girl whose sister was murdered.
But when their Junior Year forces Midtown students to pick a volunteer opportunity for two nights a week for an entire year, of course Peter Parker and Alex Cane end up working at the animal shelter together.
Alex Cane didn't want any friends.
She believed that she couldn't trust anyone around her and that they wouldn't be safe so long as she was around. But when a Preacher's daughter and a caring vigilante ease their way into her life, she finds out that she needs a friend no matter how long it's been since she smiled or laughed or even was acknowledged by something other than the girl whose sister was murdered.
She won't tell them her secret.
She's a killer.
She's Alex Cane.
Summary;
Alex Cane
was normal at first glance.
She wore jeans and a t-shirt. She did her homework. She read books.
But then you got to know her.
She talked like a robot. She showed no emotion. She didn't care about social life. She didn't want to be at school. She was passing just to pass.
She wasn't living a life.
She had no life to live.
You know her as the girl whose sister was murdered. Not murdered. Raped. Assaulted. Tortured. Dumped under a bridge.
Alex Cane was the girl whose sister was murdered.
That was two years ago.
Now she's a girl you see passing in the halls. A girl who doesn't ever seem to smile. A girl who sits in silence instead of playing on her phone.
A girl.
Alex Cane.
What you don't know is that she's a murderer, too.
She killed the man who killed her sister because he got to walk free and didn't deserve it.
Is it okay to murder a murderer?
Don't let Alex hear you say no. She won't respond, but she will listen. She will remember your answer. And if you ever talk to her she will bring up your answer. You'll feel bad.
Because Alex Cane is the girl whose sister was murdered.
Starring;
❛Danielle Campbell as Alex Cane
Life would be better for everyone else if I just stayed out of the way, Peter❜
AnnaSophia Robb as Claire 'Peekay' Holt
❛Um, hey, friend... part of this whole friendship gig is that you tell me when you like a guy❜
Tom Holland as Peter Parker
❛Alex Cane, every situation with you is a very intense one❜
Please Understand;
This book is very heavy with rape because Alex's sister was raped and murdered and the killer was never convicted so Alex killed him. She tortured him and then killed him so he could feel what her sister did. It's also heavy in rape because someone tries to rape Peekay (MUST BE INCLUDED) and this is after Alex and Peekay are friends-ish and Alex sees Peekay get drugged and basically beats the guy to a pulp before Spider-Man can come save the day.
Alex doesn't use many contractions and she doesn't talk A LOT AT ALL. She reads a lot so she accredits her minimal use of contractions and no swear words to the books she reads because she says she talks like them.
Alex doesn't make friends at all. Her and Peter become friends at the shelter because he keeps trying to talk to her and you can include Peekay at the shelter, too, or just being in Alex's classes. Peekay is for Pastor's Kid. She should literally try to measle her way into Alex's life. Peekay swears a lot.
Do not change the faceclaims. Whatsoever. I'll come for you.
You might want to read the book The Female of the Species but if you don't then I can explain anything you need!! It's a damn good book though.
Alex should not find out Peter is Spider-Man very soon, and she really shouldn't care that much. She doesn't want to be involved in people's business and judges silently so don't make her angry that Peter hid the secret from her. And she got away with Hank's murder so don't make he be telling everyone that she killed him. Peter should find out sometime around the quote of Alex's.
I picture her having a bad day after the 2-year anniversary of her sister's death and Peter goes to her apartment and she is crying and saying she is dangerous and Peter is confused and she admits what she's done and Peter has to make a decision to turn her in or let her go.
Okay, cool.
