SUMMARY;
Spider-Man needed a man in the chair, just as all superheroes do. Ned had been great for a while until his mom walked in on him in his room and didn't really appreciate his 'I'm watching porn' excuse. Long story short, Ned was no longer allowed to use his computer in his bedroom and with that going for him, Spider-Man was suddenly without a man in the chair.

Knowing he could only go so long with Karen's requests to activate instant kill, Peter Parker was on the hunt for someone to help him in his late night charades. So like usual, he wrote a note.

He posted a flyer outside the newly rebuilt Delmar's Deli and hoped someone would call the burner phone number posted on the paper and apply to be his man in the chair.

When one girl passes by after getting dinner for her and her mom, she becomes intrigued and takes the flyer, hoping to create a plan that would actually work to finally get her revenge on Spider-Man.

So when her application is accepted by the very naïve Peter Parker who has no idea that the simple Kelly Burgess is only out for revenge, her plan begins. And Kelly can finally get Spider-Man back for his indirect actions that caused her mother to be put on bed-rest for perhaps her entire life ahead of her.

Kelly doesn't know who Spider-Man is under the mask, but that doesn't stop her from literally controlling every aspect of the vigilante's night life at the simple sound of her voice.

And with him not knowing her plan, it's impossible for him to convince her that he's really a good guy.

Until he does.

❛Am I supposed to advise you to activate instant kill mode or am I just supposed to watch you fight these guys while eating my burnt popcorn? Because this is really entertaining and my stomach can only get bigger

PLEASE UNDERSTAND;
Kelly's mom was in an accident (that's up to you to decide what) that put her on bed rest for the rest of her life. She is paralyzed so you can give her a wheelchair, but you need to make it clear that Kelly is struggling with being the one to hold up the household (very small apartment that could or could not be in Peter's building).

So basically, Ned's mom knocked on the door as he was shouting commands at Peter through the comms. and Ned was so scared that he shouted 'I'm watching porn!' to his mom and she got pissed and makes him use his laptop in the kitchen or wherever and that makes it impossible for Ned to help Peter. So Peter makes a flyer saying 'Yo, I need some help behind the scenes' and Kelly decides she'll take the job so she can lead Peter into danger on his adventures instead of out of it. It's kind of self explanatory.

Peter shouldn't realize she is leading him into danger on purpose. But if you want to make this so it happens at night and in school, you can make Kelly go to Midtown on a SCHOLARSHIP. She doesn't have any money, no money for new things or even old things. All money goes to her mom's condition. Or you can make her go to a different school and be original, it's up to you, I don't care.

Whatever the case, Kelly should eventually realize that Spider-Man is not a bad guy and that what happened to her mom was inevitable. At that point she could admit everything she did to Peter and apologize and start to grow feelings for him, or he could find out what she's doing and confront her about it.

Also, this very well could be a Spider-Man fiction and you can fit it into your own Peter Parker universe if you want. Meaning, there doesn't have to be a love interest and Peter Parker could be dating someone from your previous books and Spider-Man could just be having a job. If you do that, I want an explanation and plan on what your doing. And if you do that, Kelly won't fall in love with Spider-Man and should just understand he isn't a bad person.

This is a slow burn because Kelly hates Spider-Man with her entire being. And she shouldn't find out Peter is Spider-Man until he finds that she was hurting him and not helping him. And he should be kind of shocked that there are people who hate him that much, or something like that.

If you make it so Kelly doesn't go to school with Peter, she shouldn't be shocked when Spider-Man reveals himself because she doesn't know him.
