Way Out of Your League*

DESCRIPTION;
❛ They told me to quit while I was ahead, but being ahead is just so thrilling that I killed them instead ❜ - Luna Cortes
PLOT;
Luna Cortes had always been part of the Mexican League of Assassins. She was proud to wear such a high title on her body as she walked around her streets like she owned them, and to her, no one was too much to handle.
She was the daughter of Mario Cortes, the infamous leader of the League, and because her father was the man in charge, she had to be the fiercest female warrior.
However, when she finds out that the League of Assassins have been working coherently with the Mexican drug cartels and in thanks to her father, she does what is best for her group and murders her father, taking down the leader of the League and the drug cartels that were supported by it.
Luna's mother is quick to step up and fill in the position of the leader of the League, and wanting what is best for her daughter, she gives her a mission away from Mexico where she can expand the League's sphere of influence and hopefully make people fear the small Cortes and what she is able to do. Only, her mother didn't do it for Luna like her daughter thought. Her mother wanted control of the League, and the only way to do that was to send the rightful heir of the throne away.
So with only a journal of names her father had created before he became corrupt, Luna is off to Queens where she is enrolled in a high school to blend in.
The journal contains hundreds of names of people that have at any point wronged the League and to keep honor to her people, Luna is adamant on killing every last person on her list, no matter who they are or what they are leaving behind.
She sports only a dark cloak at night to hide her identity and murders one to three people before dawn breaks every day. She was doing fine until a certain neighborhood Spider-Man notices the crime rate dropping, and after watching a girl in a black cloak and hood break into a home and walk out with a bloody sword, he makes it his mission to stop the mystery woman before she wipes out half of Queens' population.
And when he sees a small journal drop out of the backpack of the new - albeit very intimidating - girl at school that contains the same names of all the people that have recently been murdered, he knows it will be that much harder to catch her and take her down. He's going after a teenage assassin for crying out loud.
It's bad enough that no one knows the League of Assassins have moved into America, now he has the very daughter of the founder of the League sitting in front of him in Chemistry.
SUMMARY;
For Luna Cortes, life was pretty simple. She killed people on Tuesdays, killed people on Wednesdays, and rested on Thursdays. It a up to imagination to decide what she did the other days of the week.
Luna was the daughter of the founder of the League of Assassins. Her father was a very powerful man with many connections, but when he makes a mistake and discreetly partners with a drug cartel without informing his assassins, Luna has no choice but to kill her own father and allow her mother to take over the League.
Her mother knows Luna was made for more than a simple assassin that roamed Mexico. She was made for bigger, greater, things. So with a confident heart, Luna is sent to Queens, New York where she has the job of slaying hundreds of people written in the pages of one very small journal.
Her cover story is hardly one. She is Luna Cortes, a transfer student from Mexico. And when she's not studying chemistry in Midtown, she's pushing swords through people's chests.
It was only a matter of time before she caught the eye of a soon to be not-so-friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
STARRING;
CIERRA RAMIREZ AS LUNA CORTES
❛ The League is already in America and there is absolutely nothing you or Spider-Man can do to stop it, Peter Parker ❜
AND
FRANCIA RAISA AS VALENTINA GOMEZ
❛ I am looking at a sixteen year old girl who killed her father because he betrayed her, yet when your mother took your rightful place as leader of the League, you didn't bat an eye. You deserve control of the League, not your mother. So do what Luna Rosa Maria Sofia Contoya Cortes does best, and show her that no one betrays you and gets away with it ❜
PLEASE UNDERSTAND;
I love this. Like, I really do. Basically, I took the League of Assassins from Arrow as well as the book idea. So, let's break it down:
Luna's father was the founder of the League of Assassins that is stationed in Mexico. But, her father got involved with some drug cartels and gave them resources without telling the rest of the League. Once Luna found out her father betrayed her and the League, she killed him, and her mother took over. Luna's mom knew she was made for more and sent her to Queens with a list of people that wronged the League. There's a lot of names, you decide how many. Anyways, Luna starts killing these people when she isn't blending in to her new school and Spider-Man starts seeing that a ton of people are being killed when he's watching the news. So he starts being on lookout and sees a person in a black cloak and hood break into a home and leave with a bloody sword. He puts two and two together. You decide where it goes from there. But one day, Peter is fed up with not knowing who this person is, and he sees Luna drop a book at school. It falls out of her backpack and she doesn't notice and Peter picks it up and sees the League of Assassins seal on the cover and he realizes the League is mobile and is now in America, and he's like 'oh shit.' Anyways, he knows Luna is the killer and he has the list of people and you can make it go from there however you want.
Luna and Peter shouldn't talk much at school. She doesn't want to make friends because she is career driven and has a job to do. So don't make her all flirty and nice with Peter. If anything, she should be snappy and stand offish every time someone tries to talk to her. But that's up with you. Just don't make her super flirty and sweet. Unless, however, she is trying to get information from someone. Then go for it and make her flirty.
The other girl is there as a 'guardian' for her. They should be there to keep her focused and make sure she is killing the people she needs to and crap like that. Her and Luna should be close because they have trained together for years. Valentina should want to know how her days are and if she likes someone, but she should also be her trainer and should show her no mercy when they are training.
But other then Valentina (who should not be going to school because she is too old to be a high schooler and instead should have a job) Luna is extremely closed off and likes to be alone.
That explains why this is a slow burn.
Once Luna finds out Peter is Spider-Man (I see her finding this out when her and Peter aren't dating and she doesn't even really know who he is) she should be intrigued and stuff. She should start being careful of killing so out in the open because she knows he is watching. And once she starts developing feelings for him (maybe he tries to convince her what she's doing is wrong and tries to help her out of her mission) her guardian should find out and warn her to be very careful but Valentina should ultimately want the best for Luna and will help her hide her feelings from the League. The League should he like the one in Arrow where you can never leave the League and are committed to it, so if you decide that Luna and Valentina ever are to leave the League, you have to make sure it shows that they are always on the lookout and never let their guard down.
Maybe if you want to extend this you can have them be partners as vigilantes and Peter has to teach her that killing is not always the answer, I don't know.
* The villain in this will be the mother who ia in control of the League. And Valentina and Luna are going to kill her mother and make it so Luna is the leader of the League and can do as she pleases with the group. It's up to you.
Valentina and Luna should talk Spanish some times.
Those are pretty much the requirements that have to be in the book, so I can't wait to see where this goes and hope someone will take it!
You decide who plays her mom and maybe her dad.
