Whispers of breath were transported to my face, making me shudder at the warmth received over my body. I tried to move, yet my eyelids were glued as I tried to briskly open them. Loud footsteps were heard making my ears invisibly perk up with alertness. Sleepiness was harshly taken away as my eyes forcefully opened. An unknown smell wafted through my nose.

Rapid beats from my heart drummed loudly. Alex tried to calm me down, though inevitably was to no avail. Swinging my legs off the bed I stood up from my slightly squeaky bed. I squinted for a second until curiosity won over.

I turned the knob and cautiously tip-toe down the stairs with my heart in my throat. Nobody's expected to be home for a week. My parents, Tony, Alyssa and the others travelled to somewhere in Kentucky since the exact place wasn't told. All I do know is they went to a reunion with all the clans which are our allies. I decided to stay in case Hunter and Linzie came back home. Boy would they hear from me when they arrived here! IF they arrive...

With a startled jump, I ran towards where the noise came from. Checked every room and place in the house but was left disappointed with a hint of relief. I wished so hard for Linzinae to have been here and Hunter.

Where did that noise come from?

I shook my head and headed to my room jogging.

I closed the door shut and sniffed my armpits. Uff! Damn, I smell like a pig after that exercise I did before I slept. Oh shots! I slept on my bed without taking a shower. Gross! I began to strip off my cloth and made it to my tub. Turning the faucet, I waited till the water became hot.

Completely bare, I strolled out of my bathroom to my drawer. Took out some of my favourite lingerie and a soft Jersey with black running pants. I slid my undies and suddenly I heard a clearing of a throat. My eyes shot out and my back went frigid as a cold and hot breeze flowed within my body.

'As much as I am indeed enjoying the view, I am needing to tell you something very special to a special girl like you.' A raspy voice voiced with smugness. I turned on my heel covering my self as much as I could with crossed arms. I risked a second and slipped on my Jersey and the pants were put on. His chuckle clearly determined disappointment.

I gave him a disgusted look. 'Who are you and what do you want! I'm in no need for games. You're no scary to what I'm used to fight.' He raised an eyebrow mockingly.

'Oh, is that so?' He stood up from my bed and I gave a chance to check him out for my advantage. A distraction would do to hit him on his throat, then break his arm and slap my hands on his ears. After that, I'll do a common thing which is hitting him in the balls. So far he seems human. This is just a plan B.

His height has to be 6 three or something and his strong bulky built does not intimidate me. His eyes are what frightens me a bit. His orbs are half white and half black completely adorned ghastly with thick black eyelashes and a crooked psychotic smile that gave me the chills. As he walked over me and I not a single inch moved, I noticed a shadow was behind him.

When he was just inches away I grasped harder my loving black blade and just when he was going to lung at me I slashed the blade in the middle of his chest. His look of surprise fed my ego and with a humph I retracted the blade and poof! He was black dust... Wait! Black dust? What the hell was he? Panic rose once again.

Alex! What's happening? I've fought with almost every creature, so why haven't I seen this one?

The room spun and suddenly my knees crashed to the floor with a loud thud. I clutched my head with both hands kneeling down in the middle of my room. An eerie constant beep was heard until the cave blackness caged me in. But before the blackness covered me, I felt the presence of someone watching me. With my head pounding I looked up and was flabbergasted to what I saw.

I saw my own self, but different. Instead of my hazel eyes, she had a half black and half white eyes like the weird creature I have killed.

'Wh-who are you?' I whispered.

'I have been waiting for you.' She eerily said. She kept coming closer and becoming nearer. I had no time to react before I was engulfed in blackness.
