They say time heals the soul. I wonder how long that really does take. It's been almost six months and I am still healing. Not from the wounds...they have completely healed and only a light scar remains.

The elders on the Reservation did an awesome job getting all the infection out and they even cut down the stubs on my back as close as they could get it, smoothing it as much as possible so it would not be that easy to notice. If I ever where my hair up you can see the slight rise in the material that I am wearing, so most of the time I just keep it down because it helps hide the true me. The only one that ever really sees it is Silver and he doesn't even really see it that much.

I gotten close to everyone on the Reservation, including the friends that he has outside the land. We go off exploring every weekend. This land of his is a masterpiece of it's own. It's nothing like my land though and there have been a few times I catch myself talking to the trees and plants and sometimes even the wild animals. I am just so use to everything responding back but that is not the case here and I have to remind myself before others catch me and start laughing.

Today he decides to take me to the waterfall. As we drive up and park my stomach gets a sickening feeling as I watch as everyone unpacks the Jeep. Silver walks over to my side and holds his hand out for me to grab."Hey...you okay?"

I nod my head yes but the words that come out are the opposite, "No."

"It's going to be alright." I take his word for it and get out of the Jeep. Everyone is hooting and hollering by the time we reach the falls. Kaine and his now wife, Harper, shred their clothes and jumps into the pool of water. I watch as Silver takes off his shoes and then his shirt. His muscles have gotten more built and I try not to stare too long. He hasn't transformed back into the wolf since we have been back but we both figured that it had something to do with all the magic in my land and the water from Shimmering Falls.

I am wearing a bathing suit but I still feel awkward being in front of everyone. Silver walks over closer to me. "It's just Kaine and Harper." It's like he always knows what I am thinking and I can't help but smile back at him.

"I know...go on ahead I will be there in a minute." I peck his lips and he runs and jumps up, diving into the water creating a nice splash. I sit down by the edge of the water and can't take my eyes off of the waterfall. Memories flood my thoughts. I know what lies behind the falls. I know the world there that is going on without me. I think of my mum and dad, wondering how they have been doing without me.

I'm startled when water splashes on me, bringing me back to reality. "Come on before I throw you in."

"You wouldn't dare," I smirk.

"Try me." Silver winks as he starts to climb out.

"I'm coming..." I stand up and take off my shorts and then jump in the water. I sink to the bottom and then swim back up.

A few other of his friends show up towards the end of the day and we all get out and dry as we sit around the fire pit. I try to listen as everyone tells stories but I keep looking up at the waterfall. I glance up to see the stars coming out and all I really want to do right now is climb this tree behind me."I will be back," I tell Silver as I stand up.

"Where are you going?"

"Uhm...I need to like relieve myself...don't worry I will be right back."

He smiles and kisses me lightly before letting my hand go. I find my way behind a few trees and squat down to relieve myself. As I am walking back I admire the huge tree in front of me. I glance all the way up and my body starts to climb up like I am meant to do this. I keep telling myself that it's not me anymore and I should not be climbing but I go and go all the way up to the very top.

The stars are amazing up here. I lean back against the trunk of the tree, letting it hold me upright. I can see the falls better and I close my eyes trying to remember what it was like. Sitting in the trees late at night with Scolecite by my side gazing at the zillion stars above, now he is watching them with Jade and their little winged being. I think of Rowan. Riding on his back gliding through the wind like there was no tomorrow, nothing could stop the two of us. I wonder if he is a spirit now watching over me. I wonder if that is possible. I open my eyes to watch the stars above me.

What I would give to fly again, to be able to spread my wings and just go. There is nothing like the feeling of the wind carrying you off to wherever just being with one. I feel the tree sway and I can tell he is climbing up. It's funny how he always seems to find me.

"There you are; what are you doing up here?" I look up at the stars and he looks up following my gaze. "It's beautiful...I know...you are thinking of Orestes uh."

I nod my head.

He leans back against the tree with me and wraps an arm around me. "You know I bet they are all doing alright."

"I know...I...I...just miss it every now and then." I close my eyes for a few minutes...trying to remember what everyone looked like.

"I know you do; I hate what happened but I don't hate that you are here with me."

I look over at him and try to smile but my bottom lip quivers. "You know what I miss more than anything?"

"Rowan...I assume."

"Yes but..." I close my eyes again and vision myself flying in the wind. I try so hard to fight back the tears. "I miss my wings. I miss flying and letting the wind caress my body, feeling free. I miss it Silver." I feel his hand tighten around my arm, pulling me in closer into him. I know he wants to help me but no one could ever give me that feeling back.

"I know...I know." He kisses the top of my head and then we sit there for a little while longer before climbing down.

Everyone is in their tents sleeping and I climb in the tent with Silver. He lets me rest my head on his chest while one arm holds me all night. The next morning we all get up and he is all in smiles. The whole time he packs up everything he is smiling, grinning ear to ear. He even starts to hum and then he is whistling like it's the best day ever.

"Well...looks like someone must finally got some," Kaine starts laughing.

Silver gives him a look but then just keeps on humming. I can't take it any longer. Why is he so happy? "You are in a really good mood today. Ehat is going on?" I ask him.

"I have a surprise for you," he says leaning in to kiss me.

"A surprise for me...tell me what is it?"

"You will see. Get your things together we have to get going if we are going to make it there in time."

It takes us a good hour to get to wherever we are going. When he pulls up there are planes and helicopters everywhere. I am confused to why we are even here. He is still smiling however. We get out and I follow him over to a guy in a red suit. He shakes hands with him and looks at me. "Are you nervous?"

"Nervous about what?" I look at him and back at Silver. "Why should I be nervous?"

"We are going up in the sky," he says cheerfully.

"What do you mean going up in the sky?"

"You will see...come on let me help you get all the right gear on. This is a wingsuit." He holds it up and then helps me. "Once we are up I will explain what we are doing."

Kaine and Harper put on their gear and I have him help me with mine the rest of the way. I have no clue to what I am doing. The clothing I put on is awkward and has extra material in the arms and legs. We all load up in the small plane and it takes us high off of the ground. I admire the awesome view. Everything below looks so tiny and the sky gets so blue and we are so high that I feel that I could reach out and touch the clouds. The plane keeps going higher and higher.

"Here put this on," he says as he hands me a back pack for my back.

 I have no clue what we are going to do. I watch as Kaine and Harper hold hands. They run full force and jump out of the plane. Silver grabs my hand and looks at me with so much excitement. "Are you ready for this?"

I nod, having no clue to what I am really about to do. We walk to the edge and look out and in second we are flying. The wind captivates my inner soul, taking me within. I feel like I am flying and this is the most incredible feeling ever. I feel almost like I use to be. The wind whispers in my ear, it caresses my hair feeling every little strand. I feel alive again.

Silver makes his way closer to me and we are flying next to each other and then he maneuvers around to where is right in front to me. "You like!" he yells so that I can hear him.

"Most definitely, this is amazing. Can we do it every day?" Because if I can feel this I know that I just might be ok.

"Maybe, how about when you need this you tell me and we will come." He grins ear to ear.

"Really...you would do that for me?" My heart fills with happiness.

"Yes...of course...Azurite...will you have me...will you marry me?" He pulls something out of his pocket and he is holding this shiny blue ring and I burst out into tears.

The blue looks almost as the way my eyes use to be in the darkness of the night and I know this is why he chose this stone out of all of them. I nod and he reaches over and places it on my hand. I hold it out for the sun to catch it with its rays and it sparkles the most amazing blue that I have ever seen.

 He pulls me into him and his lips touch mine briefly before he pulls the cord on my backpack and this thing flies out the back and pulls higher into the sky. I yelp with excitement and seconds later he pulls his to reach up almost next to me.

As we soar through the air, I know that I am going to be ok. I know that this is my home now with Silver and after all we have been through I know that he will always be there to take care of me. I will always remember who I was, what I was and I know the fairy in me will always be there living deep inside of me. And on beautiful days like this...I can fly.
