We are finally here, in the land of Orestes. The moment we walk into this section of the forest I know I am home. The la m.h d before me brightly  colorful and everything is alive. I hear the music playing and everyone is awake. No one sees me at first. I stand in the tree line watching. Silver stands by my side. I see his eyes in disbelief as other winged beings fly around.

No one in his land would ever believe a place such as this would ever exist. They only see places like this in those books they have, pictures but seeing this for real changes everything.

"I can't believe what I am seeing. I thought they would all look just like you but there are so many."

"They are all like me, see their wings,"  I whisper in hopes that no one can hear. I point towards a few of the fairies.

"Yes...but I never thought there would be so many and I assumed you would all be blue."

I look back at him like he can't  be serious. I wonder why he thought they would all look like me. "We all belong to different families." I roll my eyes at him.

"So let's go, they will be happy to see you." He steps forward and I hold out my hand to stop him. He stops and looks back at me.

"I just...look can we just wait a second." I look around, looking for Scolecite. I don't see him at first but when I do he is with her. I see them kiss and I look away. My heart is crushed. I knew I would be too late. The way the two 9f them touch,  the way their lips touch makes my insides all cramp and twist in knots. I can't stand see them like this. I start to walk away and he stops me.

"You came all this way...you can't let that stop you." He points in their direction.

I look away from him...no need in him seeing my reaction. "What are you talking about?"

"The guy over there kissing that girl in green; that is him...isn't it?"

I look back over at the two of them; they are still hand in hand. I nod my head. He seems so happy with her like how could he be; how could he forget about me.

"Azurite, you can't let that girl get in the way. If you love him you have to go tell him."

I shake my head. If only it was that simple. If only he knew that no matter what I say it won't matter. It's too late because what is fone is done.

I step out of the tree line and I hear someone screech and come flying over towards me. She squeals again before engulfing me in her arms and I am caught off guard. "Azurite...where have you been? We all thought you were gone for good. Oh my goodness you are really here. They will be so excited to see you." Sapphire kisses both sides of my cheek and then sees the guy behind me. "Who is this?" Her eyes go wide almost startled because he is not like us.

I glance back at him and motion for him to come stand by my side.  "Silver...he just helped me find my way back he will be going back home." I wanted to reach for his hand but I thought it would be best not to at the moment. 

"Not sure Malachite will be happy about this but hey you are home," she screeches again and flies off and I know she is telling the others that I am back.

I turn back to look at Silver and he looks confused about what just happened. I know he gas no idea what she said. "She said she was happy to see me but wanted to know who you were."

"Oh...sorry I didn't understand a word she said, " he says all puzzled.

"I know. I have to remind myself that you don't understand the language. Please just don't make any sudden movements if they all come flying around you alright."

"Alright."  He starts to look a little paranoid be cause he doesn't  know what to expect. 

My parents come flying over first and my mum starts crying and hugging me, "My Azurite...oh...you are alive and well. Do good to see you. I thought I would never see you see again, " She says in our tongue.

"We were lost without you. Why were you in Onyx quarters? You know we are not allowed to go there," My father fusses at me but then hugs me. He is glad that I am back as well. But then he lets go of me and looks at the guy beside me. His smile suddenly changes and I know this is not going to go well. "Who is this?" He barks.

"Seo Silver. Shabhail se me." I turn to look at Silver. "I told them your name and that you saved me."

"Oh..yes I saved your daughter." He smiles and holds out his hand for my father. He waits for him to shake it like they do in his land but my father never holds his hand out for him.

"He speaks English," my father says surprised as he looks back at Silver. "Thank you for saving our daughter."

"You're welcome sir." There is a big commotion and we are all being summoned by Malachite. I look over at Silver and he looks worried all of a sudden.

"Hey...it's going to be all right." I try to reassure him even if I am not so sure myself.

"If you say so," there is a small crack in his voice of nervousness. 

Malachite raises his voice for all to hear the news. "May I have everyone's attention. Let it be known that Azurite has returned to us."

Everyone lays eyes on me and starts cheering; everyone except the one being that I wanted to be cheering. He glances at me and then back at Jade.  She as well doesn't seem happy to see me. I know  she's  not but I'm quite shocked that he looks rather surprised  and I'm not so sure it's a good surprise. 

"We will celebrate tonight to welcome her home and then tomorrow we will have a trial to see about her circumstances...for now everyone celebrates," he lets out his screeching sound and the music starts back up again.

Everyone comes over to see me and they all want to know about Silver. When Malachite comes over everyone moves away. "My child...we want to welcome you back home. May I ask who is this outsider you brought with you." He stares him down like he is do not wanted here.

I start to explain and he stops me.

"You know our rules; no one from the outer world should know about us and you brought him here. Here to our home...to Orestes. How could you?" he says with great shame.

I see the concern in his eyes and I know he thinks others will be coming. "He was just helping me find my way back. He won't tell anyone about this place."

"And how can you be so sure of that," he scolds. He motions for his army to come over and we are surrounded by a few of them.

I glance at Silver in panic. "Don't make any sudden movements...they are testing to see if you..."

"Coinnigh do leanbh teanga." (Hold your tongue child.) He scolds and glares at me. He then looks over at Silver. "How did you find her?" he says in English for him to understand.

Silver looks at me before saying anything and then back at Malachite. I thought for sure he would crumble under pressure but he takes a big sigh and says, "My friends and I were climbing the waterfall on Capsen Mountain and she just fell from the falls. I saved her."

"You saved her?" He looks over at me to see if I would say anything but I know better.  He looks back at Silver. "Why?"

His voice starts to crack again, "Uhmmm...because it is the right thing to do." He looks over at me and then around at everyone that is surrounding him. They all come in closer.

"I see...and what are your intentions now?"

Silver throws his hand up in the air gesturing over to where we came. "To go back home. I just wanted to help her make it here safely."

"Uhm!" he clears his throat and motions for his army to do something and suddenly Silver goes limp, falling to the ground. I watch as they carry him away. The trees reach out with their long branches and hold him down so that he can't escape.

"Why did you do that...he is harmless," I shout.

"Harmless! You have no idea what he is capable of and you bring him back here...here to our land." He steps closer to me, only inches away from me.

"I'm sorry...I would never jeopardize this place. I swear he was only helping me...nothing more," I argue with him and no one ever argues with Malachite...no one.

He raises his hand and motion for the others to come and take him away. "Then you will be alright with him being where he is for tonight. I don't trust him."

I look over at Silver and he is still out of it. I roll my eyes and fly off. I knew this was a mistake I should have never let him talk me into letting him come here.
