Silver's POV:

My friends and I and packed up all our gear a couple of days ago. We are venturing out to Caspen Mountain. Another thing on the bucket list is to climb the falls. I know we can do it. Nothing has stopped us from doing anything so far. As we pull up to the area we have to park and hike a good five miles in.

By the time we get there we will have to set up camp and get plenty of sleep for the next day. Not many people have climbed up the falls due to the strenuous route. "Silver did you grab the camera...man...I didn't see it in the bag?" Yells Kaine from across the way.

"Bro...it like right in front of you." I yell back and laugh.

Kaine is obsessed with taking pictures. We always use our head gear but he also likes to take extra pictures.I'm in the process of setting up the tent for the night. Lainey is trying to help me out. She is friends with Harper which is Kaine's girlfriend. She recently broke up with her boyfriend and since she is going through whatever the hell she is going through Harper invited her along. I just hope that this isn't some kind of fixer upper you know. I'm just not looking for anyone for now.

By the time we have the tents up, Kaine and Harper have the fire pit set up and have a nice fire going. We all sit around the campsite and drink a few beers before heading to the sleeping bags for the night. I would have gotten plenty of rest if it wasn't for Kaine making out. Dear Lord bro just finish already. I say to myself.

By the time I do go to sleep the birds are chirping in the early morning. I climb out of the tent and the morning sun is just now coming over us. I go ahead and start fixing breakfast for all of us because there is a long day ahead of us. Nothing like the smell of cooked sausage and eggs on the fire pit in the early morning. We have instant coffee which isn't the best but it will do.I am making enough noise that eventually they all wake up; I can hear them inside their tent.

 Of course Kaine only laughs at Harper. She knows the drill she has been with us on several of these trips.

"Do we really have to get up this early?" Lainey says as she climbs out of the tent. She stretches out her body and then walks over to the fire pit. I hand her a mug of instant coffee. "Thanks." She takes a sip and then walks off behind the tree line to use the restroom.

While she is gone Kaine and Harper climb out of their tent and join me."Good morning mates...glad you could join me on the splendid day." I say with my Austrian accent...it's not that good but I try. I hand both of them a mug and flip the sausage over one more time in the frying pan.

Lainey comes back and squats down beside us and grabs a bite to eat. "It's so early...maybe you guys should go on ahead and do the climb...I think I will sit out." She yawns.

"No way girl...you came all this way...believe me this is what you need...once at the top you will be stoked...really the view is going to be spectacular and hopefully all your trouble will just disappear."

"Harper...I know you think this is fun but uhm..." she stops and looks up the steep in climb up the mountain. "I just don't know if I got it in me."

I can't help but smirk at that. If you never been rock climbing before she has her work cut out for her. She should really start out slow and this is a massive climb that is going to take a lot of endurance. "Well this will be a huge challenge for you then...hope you can handle it." I glance over at Kaine and smile.

Kaine glares at me and rolls his eyes. "We got you girl...believe me we will not leave you behind."

 After we all eat we pack up our gear for the day. I have everything that we need to do the climb. I go over simple steps with her. I let Kaine lead the way then Harper then I show Lainey what to do, where to put her feet and her hands to climb up. It's actually not that hard once Kaine set all the ropes in place and the belay device. I show her on her harness that if anything happens we will be able to catch her. I rarely use one but we have one for the girls because I need to make sure that they are safe.

I tap her helmet. "You got this...here...put a hand right there in that crevasse now put your foot there and push up."She does and actually I am surprised at her for going a good distance before she stops to take a break. "Just don't look down yet alright you got this."The moment I say that she looks down at me and starts to panic.

"Holy shit...this is higher than I thought...I...I need to get down...I can't do this; what the hell was I thinking."

"Hey...chill...alright...look up...You see Kaine and Harper they are waiting on us come on you got this."I make my way up beside her. "You got this...look we can take a short break feel the water...feel the nice breeze." The water coming from the falls beside us is refreshing that is for sure. I take out my water bottle and take a sip and then offer her a sip.

"I don't know why you guys think this is so much fun...I'm dying here." She gulps another sip and hands me the bottle back.

"It's the whole thrill of it...just wait till we get to the top you will see."

"Yeah...if you say so." She rolls her eyes and starts climbing some more.

Suddenly there is this object falling from above us that catches my eyes...I glance up to make sure everyone is still there. What the hell was that? I look down and whatever the hell it is, is falling at rapid speed. And I could be mistaken but it looked like a girl. "Did you see that?" I yell to get Kaine's attention.

"What bro...come on you guys are lagging behind."

"No...man...did you not see that. I swear I just seen a girl fall from the falls."

"Dude...come on...Harper and Lainey are between us...no one else is here man...are you seeing things. This high attitude getting to you man?"

"No...man...I swear someone just fell...I got to go check it out."

"You can't leave me like this Silver...I...I need you to help me to the top." Lainey starts to whine.

"Look...you got this...I am going back down I will be back aright...you guys don't have much farther anyway."

"It's a long way down...if someone fell...they are freaking dead by now...come on."

I look back down and she is probably right. I mean what are the chances that anyone could make that fall. I start to climb up but then get this sickening feeling in the bottom of my stomach. "Kaine...I got to go look man...you got the girls?"

"I got them...hurry back up."

Getting down is nothing like going up. I can get down in record time. And I push myself from the sides of the mountain and swing down all the way down. As I get closer to the ground there is something, someone floating in the water.

I rush down and then jump in the water to pull her out.Shit she is not breathing. Of course the impact had to take the breath out of her. I seriously doubt anyone could survive that fall. I check for a pulse and I get it. I proceed to do CPR on her. The moment her eyes flutter open they catch my attention. They are a rare form of blue, a blue I have never seen before. It was like electrified sapphire but once the sun shined right on them it was like they were super sensitive and started to turn a lighter shade of blue like almost a crystal blue. What the hell.

Her eyelids flutter with lush eyelashes a few times and then close again. I check her pulse and it is fine; I look down at her pale skin, so pale that I'm not sure she has ever been in the sun or maybe she is albino or something. But if she was why would her hair be like delicate silky bluish color and in seconds it starts to turn right in front of my eyes to a velvety jet black color. Who in the hell is this girl?

I go over to the camp site and grab a blanket and spread it out over her. I don't bother going back up to the top to meet the guys and I guess they got the picture because shortly they come back down."Shit...who the hell is that?" Kaine says as he walks over closer to us. "Damn....bro you wasn't lying you did see her. Did she really fall from the waterfall...I mean where in the hell did she come from?"

"Like I know...I think we need to go get her some help."

We all take down camp as I go over to pick her up she jumps up really fast and starts all this gibberish. I have no clue what the hell she is saying. She stands up and runs over to the edge by the water and she jumps in mid air as if she is going to fly and falls back into the water with a splash.

 I go to pull her out again and she is fighting with me. "Stop...I am only trying to help you...who are you? What is your name?"

Again a bunch of gibberish what the hell is she trying to tell me. I'm not sure what happens next but she stars gasping for air and she passes out again this time I catch her before she falls to the ground.

"Dude...there's not anything close by...I mean shit man we are like miles and I mean miles away from anyone."

"We got to get her help man."I carry her to the Jeep and put her in the back seat with me and Lainey. I glance up at Kaine and beg him to just go. "I don't know what to do...just drive."
