Song: Coming Home by Skylar Grey

There is no way that I am able to go to sleep, the moon is out and I feel the urge to roam. If only I had my wings, I would be flying high in the night sky but they have vanished.

I tip-toe lightly on the ground so that I don't wake anyone and for some reason I just want to look at that book again of my winged beings. I make my way into Kaya's room and there it sits next to her as she sleeps. I gently tug it away for I don't want to wake her up.

I walk back outside so that the moon can shine above me to give me enough light. Not that I really need it to see in the dark, my eyes give off enough light. I turn the page slowly admiring the wings on each being. I think of those in my land, are they wondering about me as well. Are they even searching for me? I can't get Scolecite out of my mind. I long to be with him but I have a feeling it is already too late and Jade has already made her claim on him.

I turn to the next page and then the next until I get to the dragons. I glance up at the stars as tears stream down my face. I bet Rowan is lost without me. We have been together for so long now and I can only imagine what this is doing to him. I screech out into the night sky hoping that he can hear me calling him but nothing happens. And why would it, I feel like I am a million miles away.

I wish I never fought with Jade, then maybe I wouldn't have gotten so angry and upset flying off into nothingness. I just wasn't thinking. She has tried so many times to find a way to get to him and now she has finally managed to do it. If only I can get back to the falling waters, then...then maybe I can find my way back home.

I stay up late in the night, it's almost day light. I tip-toe back to her room to put the book back and then go back to my sleeping quarters and lay down. Of course when I fall asleep the sun is just coming up. The good thing is I slept alright and no one bothered to wake me up till late in the afternoon.

I feel him nudge me and his voice comes across smoothly. "Hey...you planning on sleeping the day away. I thought you were ready to get home."

I stir awake and stretch out, looking up at him. I yawn, "Of course I'm ready." I stand up and start to change with him looking at me. He blushes and turns around quickly the moment he sees me take off the shirt I was wearing. "What's wrong?" I ask.

"Uhm..." He glances my way and then snaps his head back while closing his eyes. "Nothing...I can wait outside."

To my surprise he does go outside to wait on me. I finish putting on the long sleeved white shirt to guard me from the sun and then I look at the things that go on my legs. They call them pants. I try lifting up one leg and putting it in, only to fall over on the softness of the bed. Maybe I need to try this way anyway. So I sit there putting in one leg then the other and pull them up around my waist. I reach for the sunglasses before I head out the door.

Silver turns to look at me with a soft smile and as he looks down he shakes his head and grin.

 "What now?"

"You need shoes...there is no way you can climb the mountain side without shoes."

"Shoes...I...I don't have any of those things you were on your feet. We don't have those in my land."

He grabs my hand and walks me towards another room and I watch as he bends down to grab a pair and then looking at my feet. He shakes his head and grabs another pair, handing them to me. "Here maybe these will fit."

I sit down on a tree stump by the fire and start to put them on except I have no idea what the strings are for and how to fix them like his. I look over at his shoes and I try but then give up.

"Here...let me tie them for you." He bends down on one knee then grabs my leg placing it on his leg and ties it up like it's nothing and then he does the same for the other. He makes it look so easy. He smiles back at me and once he stands up he reaches his hand out for me to grab. I in return place my hand in his and he pulls me up into standing.

He starts walking off and I feel almost planted to the ground. My feet feel so heavy now like these things are actually holding me down. How do they wear these things all the time? I feel like it takes me forever to make it to him. We are in front of this massive thing and I watch as he loads it up with more stuff.

Kaine runs over and throws a few things in as well then climbs into the back part. Silver must have seen my reaction to this thing because I can't seem to get my eyes off of it. It is bigger than all of us and it's standing on these huge black circle things. It's a nice red color but really dirty from the earth caked up on it. He opens up a part and stands there waiting for me to get in it. I shake my head unsure if I should do that or not. One of my eyebrows tilts upwards as I give him this look like he has got to be kidding me.

"What...what is that?"

"It's my jeep...oh come on it's not that bad. Believe me it will get you there faster than walking." He slaps his hand on the part that is open and rubs it all the way down to this shiny thing that images the views around us.

"A jeep?"

"Azurite...just get in alright." He looks a little annoyed with me. I walk over slowly and touch the outside. Not sure what this thing will do. However it doesn't move so I climb in and sit down. I glance back at Kaine just too make sure that he is still ok by sitting in this entrapment type of thingamajig. Silver shuts the door and walks around to the other side and gets behind this other circular thing. He turns something and the thing comes to life. Startled, I grasp his hand and squeeze it. My hand starts to tremble. "It's just the engine stating up. You guys really don't have cars where you live?" I shake my head no. "Watch...everything is going to be ok...see." He moves this stick and it starts rolling.

My eyes go wide as the thing comes to life and takes off down the path. The wind blows my hair. I almost feel like I am riding Rowan at this moment. But this thing is nothing like Rowan. Rowan has feelings and I'm not sure this thing does at all. I finally let go of Silver's hand and watch the land go by. It's actually pretty here in this land but it's nothing compared to where I live. This place is all different shades of green and there are a few hints of color here and there.

The sky is blue like ours but I rarely get to see that because we are usually sleeping. My land is full of colors everywhere you look and trees are not just these boring shades of green. We have every color that you can think of and flowers are big as your head...not these little baby flowers growing alongside the path. I keep looking all around me and as calm down I get the nerve to stand up and the wind feels even faster. I hold on to the thing as it bumps along the worn out path. Yep...this is nothing like Rowan but this is actually a little fun. I nearly fall out when he stops the thing that he calls a Jeep and climbs out.

I jump down before he comes around to open the door. Silver and Kaine start unloading the Jeep and he hands me a bag. "Here...put it on your back like this."

 I watch him put one on his back and then I do the same. It is so heavy, why do they want to carry so much stuff that is heavy? I thought we would have been closer to the falling water but I was wrong it was actually a pretty good walk into the woods. We follow a well beaten path. As we are walking, I trip over a tree root and fall to the ground. "Ouch." Pain radiates through my body. These dang shoes are really causing me to lag behind.

A hand reaches down for me. "You have to watch where you are walking."

"I was, these things you call shoes are heavy. I can do this so much easier without them you know."

"Believe me...you will want to have them on."

"Uhm...I beg to differ." I sit up and take them off and hand them back to him. He ties the strings together and throws them over his shoulder. He starts walking off and doesn't bother waiting on me. So I take off running right pass him.

"Hey...wait up...you don't know where you are going," I hear him yelling behind me. But I want to get back so bad and these two are wasting my time. I run along the path and then stop the moment I hear the falling water. I stop and listen and then turn towards the direction it is coming from...getting off the path. I jump over roots and even pull on some of the arms of the trees and swing myself a little ways here and there. I feel like it is taking forever this way so I decide to climb a tree and run along the arms jumping from tree to tree until there in front of me is the most spectacular falling water in front of me.

I stand there as if frozen and look up...up...up. The falling water is soaring high above me and I mean it's practically sky-high. I have never seen anything like it before. I'm still standing there is awe when I hear the two of them panting behind me. "How in the...did you make it here that fast?"

"The trees carried me." I turn and smile at him. "Look at the falling water...isn't it just stunning."

"It's a waterfall," Kaine blurts out.

"I know...but isn't it...absolutely marvelous."

"Uhm....yeah...sure...whatever you say." He puts down the bag from his back and walks over and pats Silver on the back. "You sure you don't want me to come along with you guys."

"You can stay here man. It's not like I will be gone long. I'm climbing her up. Surely there is a cave somewhere behind that and then she can find her own way back."

"Fine...I will wait but if you take forever man, I'm coming after you."

"I know you will."

I watch Silver gets out of his clothes and puts on this thing that is slippery looking and then put on all this other stuff and he looks at me and walks over with the more of the same stuff. "What is all of that?" I say pointing to the stuff.

"This is called a wetsuit and this is climbing gear...for safety."

"Really...you need all of that. You scared you are going to fall or something?"

"It happens...better be safe than sorry. You need to put this on." He hands me the suit and I look at him like he has got to be crazy. But he turns around and waits for me. I take off the clothes I have on then hurriedly put this super tight thing on that shows off every little curve of my body.

"All right...now what."

He turns around and I notice the look he gives me as he glares at me from head to toe. I also notice Kaine staring when he turns back around. I'm not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing and I don't have time to ask because Silver has me lifting my legs and he places this leather strap around and then pulls. He adjusts everything making it all snug on me; I feel really awkward with all of this stuff on. He then gets the shoes back out and puts them on and ties the up. "You ready to do this?"

I nod my head. Of course I am and the sun is just starting to go down in the distance. Kaine is working on a fire and I'm kinda of glad that he is not going because I'm scared to find out what will happen to the two of them in my land. I'm not sure what Malachite will do when he sees me with someone that doesn't belongI watch as he walks ahead of me placing this rope in the shiny loop thing. I shake my head.

These beings are scared of everything. I mean if you fall you fall get back up and go but they act like they are going to break something. We climb beside the rushing falling water and I want to climb up the middle but he says that will be more difficult for us so I let it go and let him lead the way. We get half way up and he looks down at me. "You need to stop yet?"

"No...keep going."

"So this is where we were when you fell. I'm thinking maybe another eight to ten feet maybe. The water is coming down really good so I'm not sure how we are going to do this." He continues the climb and I'm right there with him except I think I would have already been that if I didn't have all this stuff on me weighing me down.

"Look...there looks like there might be something right there." I point into the falling water. He tracks back down and looks to where I am pointing.

"Ok...we will work are way inward alright. You ready for this? Hold on to the rope and don't let go...don't panic the water looks harmless but it's actually quite powerful alright."

I nod. He is right, the water beats down on us and I feel myself slipping but I hold on for dear life. We push through the water and I hear him gasp for air a few times. I hold my breath like it is nothing. Then suddenly there it is the entry to Onyx quarters. Silver turns on this light that is attached to his head. He clicks mine on and I quickly shut my eyes from the brightness. "Oh, sorry...guess you don't need this." He reaches back over and turns it off.

 I strain to open my eyes because his light is also so bright. He makes them go a little softer. "Well...guess you can get out of the wet suit now." He opens his bag and hands me the clothes I did have on. "Here you can put these back on."

"Uhm...I don't need those here."
