The End?

Rain poured heavily out of the heavens, landing on the black umbrellas that shielded the people below.
Thunder clapped loudly, lighting flashing across the otherwise dark sky as it illuminated the black casket that was being slowly lowered into the earth.
Nathan clenched his fists as he leaned back against the tree he was standing in front of, not wanting to disturb Joelee's family as he kept off to the side by himself.
Nobody had said a single word at her funeral, leaving Nathan to wonder why they even came aside from wanting to make sure that she was actually dead.
Watching the people within the chairs he couldn't help but clench his fists as he realized a few of them were simply on their phones rather than mourning the loss of a life taken too soon.
"It's disgusting, isn't it? They blame her for her parent's and siblings' deaths so they're just here to make sure that she's actually dead." Nathan murmured as he heard someone walk up behind him. Not caring who he was speaking to at this point as he angrily wiped the tears from his eyes.
"It is. She deserved better." Kevin's voice startled Nathan as he turned to stare at the ginger male who gave Nathan a small smile.
"What happened to you?" Nathan questioned as he studied the now clean cut male, noticing that Kevin's once neck length, curls had been shaved off completely.
"My mother happened. She had David kidnap me when I got up to go check on Connor... When I noticed he was gone, I put out the fire and Nyx knocked me out. David took Esther and I haven't seen her since we were initially taken. I escaped earlier today when they were transferring me." Kevin explained while Nathan arched his eyebrows in confusion, scratching his head as he began to put the pieces together.
"Your... Mother... Hold on. You're ginger... Magdalene is ginger... You have the same eyes... MAGDALENE IS YOUR MOTHER?!" The thunder boomed overhead, muffling Nathan's yelled words as he stared at Kevin who sighed in annoyance.
"That's correct. But that's not the point. I don't have much time..." Kevin pulled Nathan closer to himself as he leaned closer to the raven haired male who looked extremely confused.
"You can fix this. If you do this right you can set everything back to how it was... If you do it wrong... Well... Just don't do it wrong. Your watch... Do you know how to use it?" Kevin questioned as he glanced over his shoulder momentarily before turning his gaze back to Nathan.
"Kind of. Carl said he'd send me where I needed to go... Wherever I'm needed. All I had to do was turn the dial." Nathan said as Kevin nodded slowly, pulling an amulet from his pocket as he handed it to Nathan who looked incredibly confused now.
"This is called The Blindspot. Supposedly it's a piece of heavens gate so it blocks Carl's power over Time Manipulator who wears it. You can go back to wherever you want." Kevin allowed Nathan to take the golden amulet, Nathan's eyes widening as Kevin spoke in a slow voice so that Nathan would have time to process what he was saying.
"I can bring her back? I can bring everyone back?" Nathan whispered as his eyes lifted to Kevin who grinned as he gave a serious nod.
"Yes you can. If you hurry... When The Monarch finds out I stole that from them... They'll be after us. Go now." Kevin's eyes flicked behind Nathan momentarily but he quickly focused his gaze back to the raven haired male.
"What do I do?" Nathan questioned as he slid the chain amulet over his head, the cold metal laying against his chest as he stared down at the pearl that lay imbedded into the gold.
"Your watch has a date as well as a time. Turn it back until you get to the timeline you want... Then when you click the dial to seal the time it will send you back. To freeze time, open the pocket watch while touching whomever you want to not be frozen and pull out the dial." Kevin explained while Nathan flicked open the face of the watch, turning the dial back to the day before they escaped before he took a deep breath.
"And maybe avoid touching yourself from the past. It could cause some problems." Kevin said as Nathan nodded slowly, clutching the watch tightly as he looked up at Kevin once again.
"Here goes everything. Hopefully time jail has some of that good tea." Nathan murmured as he clicked the dial, causing a bright white glow to surround him as he felt something smack against his back and everything went black.
Nathan's vision was dark for what seemed like ages, the light blinding him as he struggled to keep his breathing calm.
"How did you get out?" David's familiar voice caused Nathan to instantly narrow his eyes as his vision began to return.
"You." Nathan growled out as David cocked his eyebrows, eyeing Nathan curiously as he took a step towards younger male.
"You say that as though you know me." David's words caused Nathan's mouth to fall open as he realized David had no idea who he was outside of being a patient within The Monarch.
"It worked!" Nathan exclaimed as he quickly pulled his watch from his pocket, pulling the dial from its original place as David instantly froze with his mouth open.
"Kevin didn't let me down... I will fix this." Nathan whispered as he clutched the pocket watch tightly, stiffening when David's mouth closed and he cleared his throat awkwardly.
"You're from the future." David deduced as Nathan stared at him in shock, backing up a bit while David watched in amusement.
"Relax. You didn't fail at using your power... Time Manipulators have just been on our radar for awhile... So Banner and I replicated a way to bypass the effects of a Time Manipulators hold." David pulled an amulet from his shirt that was identical to the one that Nathan held, only the pearl didn't have the gold tint that Nathan's did.
"The Blindspot... You replicated The Blindspot." Nathan stared at the item as David slipped it back under his shirt, David watching Nathan with a calculating expression.
"Technology has come a long way... Using a pearl from the ocean we were able to place the effect of The Blindspot into it... But not fully. It can only withhold the effects of a single Time Manipulator... Not multiple... And it certainly cannot stop Carl's hold over anyone. Tell me... Why are you here?" David sat on the edge of his desk, combing his hair back with a wide toothed comb as he spoke.
"I'm here to save my friends... From you, actually. Before you kill them all again." Nathan clenched his fists as he stared at David who cocked an eyebrow with a confused look.
"Care to elaborate?" David questioned, tucking his comb into his pocket as he decided it was better to give Nathan his full attention instead.
"You kill my friends after we escape. They send you to hunt us down and you do... You kill all of us except for me, Kevin, and Esther... But even then I'm not sure if Esther is even alive. She hasn't been seen in a long time." As Nathan spoke, David's eyes began to grow increasingly wider as he stared at Nathan with a mortified expression.
"I would never hurt Esther! Especially not by killing her friends! I'm in love with her! It can't be me that does it..." David paused as his eyes widened in realization, his hand shooting up to slap his palm against his forehead.
"She figures it out... She finds out that it's me... I knew she knew what we were planning..." David stood up quickly, grabbing the phone off of the desk before he paused as he realized nobody would answer, nor was there a way for him the make the call in the first place.
"Can you unfreeze time for like... Two minutes? I'm not calling security... I just need to call someone." Nathan watched as David tapped the receiver impatiently, brown eyes begging Nathan to listen.
"I literally have no reason to trust you." Nathan crossed his arms over his chest as David released a groan of annoyance.
"Worst case scenario is you have to go into regeneration. I need to call someone and see whether or not what you're saying checks out." David kept his gaze focused on Nathan, trying to gage his reaction as he waited expectantly for Nathan to make a decision.
"If you try to betray me... It won't end well for you." Nathan warned as he pulled his watch from his pocket, eyes remaining on David as he flipped the watch open.
"Once again, not going to betray you. I have no reason to." David muttered as he quickly dialed a number, waiting impatiently as Nathan pushed the dial back into place.
"Hey, it's me. I was just calling regarding dinner... Did your ham sandwich not agree with you?" David paused as he listened to the reply, Nathan groaned quietly with an annoyed expression as David nodded seriously.
"And they have peas planned as a side for me if it turns out that I do show up?" David murmured as his face began to grow pale, his free hand running through his hair which completely defeated the purpose of combing his hair earlier as he released a shallow breath.
"Thank you... When did you find this out?" David's grip on his hair tightened as his eyes grew wide, swallowing heavily as he immediately hung up before turning his attention back to Nathan.
"They have plans to use compulsion on me to get me to answer all questions that Magdalene may have. That's how they got me to kill your friends... I wouldn't... I have a code against that. You're all babies basically." David murmured as Nathan snorted before he put a hand on his hip in a sassy manner.
"You have a code against killing kids, is that it? Newsflash... Maybe you decided we were old enough for that code to no longer apply." Nathan hissed as he pulled the dial out once again, his green eyes narrowed at David who quickly shook his head.
"If you're under twenty then you're still a child in my opinion." David said, Nathan snorting in disbelief as he once again crossed his arms over his chest.
"But yet Esther is old enough for you to have a crush on? She's only twenty one... Just above a child. So how old are you, then?" Nathan sized David up as he spoke in an accusatory tone, David flinching a bit as he gazed at the photo on his desk for a moment.
"I'm twenty six... But... I did not mean to fall in love with her. She was so beautiful... Inside and out... I've been in love with her for three years now and that will never change. But enough about me... You're here to save your friends... I can help." David turned his attention back to Nathan who cocked his eyebrow curiously.
"How?" Nathan questioned as he stepped closer to David who gave him a cheeky smirk.
"I am the one who came up with the idea of helping everyone escape... I believe I know a thing or two that can help." David said as he sat on his desk once again, palms laying flat on the desk so that Nathan would know he had no ulterior motives.
"Then I think you need to fill me in... On everything." Nathan said as sat down in David's desk chair, looking up at the older male who pulled out a notebook.
"Then get comfortable. This'll take awhile." David smirked, eyeing Nathan with a teasing look as Nathan gave a dark chuckle in reply.
"I have all the time in the world." Nathan joked as David released a soft laugh.
