" Now what?" Blake muttered as he turned to look down at Alyssa who returned his look with a worried expression.

" We need a plan." Mary whispered to Joelee who gave a light nod as her eyes continued to scour the room.

"Thanks, captain obvious. Any other incredibly helpful comments?" Blake rolled his eyes which caused Mary to grit her teeth in annoyance.

" Kevin, what's your power?" Joelee asked as she turned her silver/blue eyes to him instead, the male immediately stiffening at the sound of his name.

" I can control water. But it takes a lot out of me if I don't have a reliable water source available." Kevin replied as he returned her gaze, his green eyes curious as he wondered just what she was planning.

Joelee paused as she turned her gaze to the decontamination chamber that stood just behind one of the guards. She knew that was their was out. But maybe... It was also the way they could GET out.

" Is there water over there?" Joelee mumbled which turned Kevin's gaze to where she was pointing. His hand flicked lightly as he focused intently on the decontamination chamber and water began to drip from the ceiling of the room behind the guards who didn't seem to even notice.

" There's a sprinkler system thing over us too. On my signal, I want you to flood the guards. Can you do that?" Joelee asked Kevin who nodded lightly as his fingers curled and the pipes began to creak quietly overhead.

" Killian?" Joelee whispered but Killian's eyes remained fixated on the guards instead as he trembled slightly.

" Killian, focus. I need you." Joelee gently touched his arm with her pinky, waiting until his gaze flicked to her to smile reassuringly at him.

Killian's eyes softened as he gave a slight nod to show he was paying attention to the young girl now.

" What's your ability?" Joelee questioned softly which caused a large smile to cross his face, eyes seeming to glitter now at his newfound excitement at being able to brag.

" Girlll, I have telekinesis!" Killian whispered excitedly which caused Joelee's eyes to widen as the two tapped pinkies to simulate a high-five.

"You can also create force fields.... I heard your scientist tell mine during a cell transfer." Kevin whispered to Killian which made the dark haired male's eyes widen even more as he gasped excitedly.

" Heck, yes!" Killian whisper yelled as he immediately closed his eyes, eyebrows lowering as he dawned a look of concentration.

" Imagine a wall. Imagine it surrounding all of us. Not just you." Kevin said quietly as Killian's expression went blank and his eyes opened, the brown significantly lighter and more glazed at he looked around curiously.

" It didn't work. I couldn't do it." Killian whispered as he rubbed his aching head, eyes unblinking as he gazed at Joelee.

" You did... Something." Joelee rubbed at her sensitive ears as a loud humming caused her ears to begin to ring, a look of discomfort on her face as she took a deep breath.

" One second." Joelee closed her eyes, veins crawling up her neck as she gritted her teeth before her eyes shot open once again, the silver/blue color now replaced with a gold that seemed to glow even in the bright room.

" You did it. I can see it." She said in a slightly huskier tone, breathing slightly heavy as she turned her gaze to Killian who grinned excitedly.

" Do you have X-ray vision?" Killian whispered but Joelee shook her head in reply as she turned to Mary.

" I need you to knock out the lights after Kevin does his thing. It'll give us a slight advantage since the emergency lights aren't that bright." Joelee said to which Mary gave a nod in reply, fists clenching in preparation as she narrowed her eyes.

" Let's do this." Joelee whispered before her eyes lifted as she loudly cleared her throat, turning everyone's attention to her as she gazed at the guards with a defiant smirk.

" EVERYBODY DO THE FLOP!" Joelee screamed which caused all of the experiments in the room to fall to the ground as the water rushed from the overhead sprinklers, the water forcing the guards that stood beneath the sprinklers to the ground.

The remaining guards opened fire on the teens but luckily the force field held through and the bullets simply bounced off of the dome like flies on a window but a few of the kids in the room screamed at the loud gunshots before realizing they were unharmed.

" If you want to escape, then you need to get up. The only way out now is fighting for freedom. Use your powers. We can take them!" Joelee exclaimed as everyone slowly began to climb to their feet, exchanging glances as they all individually released a battle cry.

" No killing! We're better than them!'' Joelee yelled as she stepped forward just as the lights went off around them and the dome fell.

Due to the enhanced senses that the Meta human gene gave them, they were able to see fairly well in the dim red glow of the emergency lights. Giving them a very distinct advantage over the guards who all immediately began to panic at the loss of bright light.

Mary cracked her knuckles before running towards a large group of guards, hands sparking with electricity as she launched towards them, pressing her hands into the water that surrounded the group which caused the room to light up with electricity.

Killian grinned as he raised his hands, taking a gun from the hands of a rather trigger happy guard as he lifted the guard in the air, throwing him through the back door and out of sight.

Kevin released a loud yell as he swept a group of guards off of their feet with the water from the decontamination chamber, sending the guards tumbling over each other.

Blake pulled out his sketch pad, quickly sketching something onto it as his eyes glowed a dark purple.

A large white tiger burst from the pages, launching towards the guards who all opened fire on the tiger to no prevail as it tackled a guard the ground, the weight of the creature knocking the wind out of the guard who gasped desperately.

Connor shot a beam of red light from his eyes, hitting a guards hand which made the guard yelp and drop his gun.

" Holy crap, you have laser eyes!" Sam yelled at Connor who winked at them before he lifted his arm, shooting a dart into a guards arm which caused the guard to immediately collapse.

Rachel tucked her book closer to her chest from where she stood behind Killian as the miniature force field he was creating was shielding him from any bullets that he had missed.

Kayla's now long white hair billowed around her as she shot a beam of white light at a guard, hitting them in the foot which immediately froze their shoes to the ground.

" What's your power!?" Joelee yelled to Nathan who looked down with a rather embarrassed expression from where he stood behind Killian, using the force field as a form of protection along with Esther and Kent.

" I breathe under water. Perfect for missions, terrible for right now!"  Nathan replied as he ducked down lower when a bullet ricocheted off of the force field.

" You can still fight!" Killian exclaimed through his teeth as he ripped two guns from the guards hands, dropping them onto the ground behind him before he motioned to them with his head.

" You can shoot people without killing them! So do it!" Killian yelled over the loud gunshots around him, his words causing the two males to exchange glances while Esther just looked worried now.

Nathan and Kent quickly dove for the guns, Kent rolling onto his feet easily as his eyes glowed a bright yellow, easily shooting three guns in the lower leg with perfect aim.

" Woah!" Nathan exclaimed as he quickly got to his feet, aiming at a guard's arm, barely grazing the guard's forearm with the bullet but the guard dropped the gun rather quickly with a loud yell.

Sam ran towards the black haired guard, taking his large hands in theirs as they smiled at him.

" Come with me." Sam yelled over the sound of fighting around them, the males deep brown eyes immediately widening at Sam's request.

" I can't! I've never been in the outside world!" Kai brushed a lock of Sam's dark brunette hair from their face as he spoke, the corner of his thin eyes crinkling as he smiled lovingly at the person in his arms.

" I'll protect you! I promise! You'll be safe with me!" Sam exclaimed as they leaned towards him, gazing into his deep brown eyes hopefully as they squeezed his hands gently.

The guard said nothing as he gave Sam a small wistful smile before moving them aside as a guard fired at them before he turned to shoot the guard in the leg.

" I'll go! For you!" Kai agreed finally which made Sam smile as they pressed their lips against his.

The grey haired girl that had followed Joelee and her group slammed her hands against the ground, causing concrete to travel along them ground before encasing a guards feet.

Though it seemed as if they were winning, as Joelee looked around she realized it wasn't without a price.

Kayla and a rather young brown haired boy lay on the ground, both shot by the guards that tried so hard to keep them there.

Joelee's eyes narrowed as she ran towards them despite Killian's yells for her to stop, a haze of anger driving her towards the kids. Nobody left behind.... She needed to know. There was no way she would leave them behind if they were alright.

Quickly bending down next to them, she placed her fingers against Kayla's neck, searching for any signs of a pulse before she moved on to the boy.

" I'm sorry." She whispered to them when she couldn't find any signs of life, teeth gritting as she attempted to force the bile forming in her throat down.

A guard snuck up behind Joelee, grabbing a handful of her long, caramel blonde, hair as he pulled her away from the kids.

Joelee released a loud snarl as the guard pointed a gun at her head, the male gazing around the room with wild eyes as a few teens around them began to take notice to Joelee's capture.

" I would let go if I were you." Joelee warned in a low voice as she narrowed her now golden eyes at him.

" Yeah? What're you gonna do, freak? You haven't been attacking, you've been hiding. So your powers are probably worthless. So come on, try something." The guard warned as his grip tightened on her hair only for her to release a low growl at the pain that tore through her scalp.

" Joe!" Killian exclaimed which caused Sam and Kai to freeze for a bit as they both watched the scene unfold.

Joelee released a low growl as her teeth sank into her gums to be replaced with sharp canines, black veins crawling up her neck and to her face as she ripped from his grip, sinking her canines into the males hand.

The guard screamed as he dropped the gun, holding his now bloody hand as Joelee turned her attention to a different guard who was fist fighting Kent, her sharp teeth burying into the guards shoulder before either one even heard or saw her coming. She was incredibly fast, but not as fast as the brown haired male that sped from guard to guard, disarming each of them easily in the blink of an eye.

Joelee hunched over as her ears began to grow sharp at the ends and a loud cracking began to fill the room as her spine began to contort.

" Kill her!" A guard yelled before Alyssa grabbed his arm, causing him to immediately freeze as a smile crossed his face.

"Yeah, shut up and be happy." Alyssa muttered before turning away from the guard as the rest of the people in the room froze and began to watch the gruesome scene with a look of disgust.

Axle slowly bent down as he picked up a pistol, holding his mangled leg with his free hand as he pointed the gun at Joelee.

" Joe, behind you!" Esther yelled from where she still stood behind Killian, both watching in horror as Axle smirked at the caramel haired woman.

Joelee's eyes glowed in the dim light of the emergency lights as she whipped around to glare at Axle just as he fired the gun.
