Getting settled in was relatively easy for Shard as all she had to do was pass an exam and enter some of her information to apply for a trainer card. The exam was in Iki town so she could pick up some more berries to last her and Izanami until getting food in Hau'Oli, she also figured that she could find out when happened to Sun and Moon.

She was currently filling in a form which would enable her to get her licence, it read as follows:

Age: 21 (Here she couldn't put her actual age of 21,000 years because that would be suspicious)

Medical conditions: (this was just in case any Pokemon centres needed to know) Migraines, low blood pressure, allergy to certain flower pollens, anxiety and mild insomnia

Backstory:

Born in Johto to a family that specialised in raising Pokemon with a rumoured vicious temperament, Dragon types and Dark types included.

Had an older brother that left for Kalos when I turned 16 who was then involved in the Team Flare Incident on the side opposing Team Flare.

Had two younger siblings who stayed behind.

Had a best friend who went to Sinnoh, was then involved in the Team Galactic incident who protected the Spear Pillar and drove off Cyrus himself.

Given a Zoura egg by mother when I moved to Alola which hatched as soon as I got in the door.

Special Abilities: (This wasn't answered as most people couldn't talk to pokemon, even though she was a part time goddess she couldn't either. Goddess powers don't extend to languages.)

Shard put down her pen and sighed tiredly, she hoped that this wouldn't be as awful as her brother had expected since he was slightly against her going to Alola because of the Ultra Wormholes. Her secret would get blown wide open since one of her domains was Space so she'd be forced to correct the imbalance because neither Palkia or Giratina were going to be any help and Arceus was bipolar.

Looking over at Izanami, who was mauling a strong rubber ball she'd found in the main bedroom, prompted her to turn back to the notes she'd been jotting down on how to train her new kit. Ideas were scrawled across it from training her illusions like Loki from Marvel or train her attacks to be like the Tailed Beasts from Naruto. Eventually she settled on letting Izanami choose as she understood well enough what Shard was ranting about when she was on the phone cussing out her brother for not letting their mother have his Rotom for the dex. Shard also then made a note to teach her entire team human language so they could insult and trash talk anyone who looked at them funny, to her amusement of course.

Folding the papers she'd filled in and slipping them into an envelope she beckoned Izanami over and sat her on her shoulder, she'd learned early on that while Izanami allowed herself to be captured she wouldn't stay in her ball, she then snapped her new roller skates to the bottom of her shoes and skated out the door. She locked the door then starts skating up the hill towards Iki town idly noting that due to the more numerous flowers and tall grass that this was ten years after the Ultra Sun/Moon timelines. "Guess I'll have to call them by their fan names until I get their real names... U.Sun and U.Moon." Shard mused to herself as she skated through the grass at top speed.

She clicked her skates off when she reached the gate leading to the town and told Izanami to transform into something more common, since the kit had been shown a photo of what Zoura normally looked like her colouring shifted from blue to red in a shower of silver ink like stuff. Izanami's personality was a lot calmer that normal Zouras though but Shard didn't care since she was her fur baby now and fluffy Zoura is best Zoura.

Walking into Iki town Shard realised that this wasn't the Iki town she'd known, it was more subdued and lifeless. People were milling about doing everyday stuff but their auras were all depressed, even children seemed to be afraid of something as their heads sometimes twitched in one direction or another. Shard frowned and adopted a thinking pose as she trudged on to the centre stage while Izanami got bored very quickly and went to sleep on her shoulder.

She eyed the teacher giving out the tests and took her seat, feeling a little out of place among potential trainers that were ten years younger than her. Looking over she saw the poke balls containing the Alola starters up at the front, she knew that her chosen would be a Rowlet if she had that decision. Because bird orb Mc feathers... nuff said.

Shard snorted slightly in amusement before going at her test with gusto, she made sure not to cheat and was relieved when there weren't any questions on Pokemon biology. She'd suck at that big time. She then thought that they might be only for budding Pokemon researchers like Kukui, she paused and grinned at the perfect pun to use on him which was calling him a tree.

Was it mean? Yes. Was it worth it? Absolutely.

Shard snickered to herself as the instructor gathered in the papers and rifled through them, Shard knew she probably hadn't done well enough to steal the first prize but didn't know. She eavesdropped on the conversations.

"I'm sure I got this!"

"You're so cool Debra!"

Shard rolled her eyes, of course it's always the spoiled ones. She occasionally ran into one or two during her world hopping adventures and put them in their place, here though she had to maintain her cover.

All the tests were then handed back and Shard was surprised that she got 90% on her test. The instructor called her up and to her surprise she'd won first place! She got the first pick of starter Pokemon also!

The other kids looked at her with mutinous expressions as she approached the three starters, knowing that like her game she'd have to wait for one to come to her. The litten looked bored, Popplio lost interest quickly but her favourite starter Rowlet was the only one to keep its beady little eyes on her. So she walked forward slowly and held her arm out to it, it cooed cutely like the little bundle of feathers it was and walked up her arm onto her left shoulder as Izanami occupied her right.

"Why'd you choose the traitors starter?" The question threw her off as she turned to look at the snotty brat who'd dared diss the bird orb. "Ever heard of tact?" She shot back "You should try it sometimes, it come in really handy" yup definitely turning red now "I recognise your type from my old school in Johto, wanting to impress the ladies. It's not working, even a couch will get more ass that you ever will." It had to be illegal to taunt these suckers, all the while Shard made sure to give her owlet the best petting. Izanami didn't seem to mind though as she had a new family member to be a big sister to, also she was baring her teeth at the little shit. They seemed wary of her so Shard decided to rub it in "The only thing that's stopping Izanami here from ripping your face off is me, I'd let her do it though but we're being watched. Even though dying via face rippage isn't that creative or well thought out..." she trailed off, enjoying the looks of horror on their faces.

With that point stated she turned back to comforting the little owl, as she watched it an idea for a name came to her. "Yurei!" She chirped and the owl turn its head to look at her, "It means ghost." Shard added for the Rowlet's benefit and it lit up with joy, Shard then noticed that compared to the other two starters Yurei was very shy as the popplio was loud and the litten gave zero fucks. "I will feed my babies the best beans!" Shard gushed as she cuddled her two charges close, enjoying the feel of fur and feathers on her face.

Now she had a new partner and an indication that something wasn't right with Alola, she knew that one of the main trainers U.Moon had chosen a Rowlet in canon manga but to call the cute orb a traitors Pokemon pissed Shard off. She knew that she'd have to solve this mystery about what happened during the ten years but didn't know where to start.

'For now though...' she thought 'let's do a training montage, I want to get my babies up to double digits before I go to Hau'Oli just in case."
