I'm losing my mind, I never expected to be in first place for any of the awards I entered! I can not begin to say how much I appreciate everything, not only for the community for giving me recognition, but for my readers who have been helping me hone my craft and sticking with me.

▪ February 17 [2022]│For the first time, this story has received an award! Thanks to BerryPatchCommunity, Defect won third place for paranormal in The Strawberry Shortcake Awards! ▪ January 07 [2025]│Officially halfway with editing! I'm really hoping to have this book out before the end of Spring. I've also decided to add four never-seen chapters that will stay in the published version only! 

▪ December 31 [2024]│I received my LCCN (Library of Congress Control Number), one step closer to publishing this story with Amazon! I can not wait!

▪ April 10 [2022]│ We have hit over 10,000 reads and 5,000 votes! This is the biggest achievement I've ever accomplished with my writing and has exceeded my expectations by a LOT! You're all so amazing for checking this out and supporting my vision. ❤

I've hit a little snag in publishing (well, mostly with finishing my editing.) but that isn't going to stop me or hold me back. I'm simply putting that on the back burner and working on the second book some more, fleshing it out and toning it up! There's still so much to do, yet I love every second of it!

I'm back! Now every Wednesday, I'll be adding chapters to this. I'm going to take down all of the chapters of the original but keep the book published to showcase my achievements with it! This had an overhaul completely. Many things are different and I can not be happier!

I've decided to do a complete overhaul of this story and start to take things seriously. I'll be working extremely hard, and once I'm ready to, I'll be taking the story down here and re-posting it to a new account under the name I'm deciding to go by as an author. Dove Detta has taken me far but after almost a decade, I've outgrown it. Thank you to everyone who has grown with me!
