Hey everyone! I hate when authors do this to me, so I will apologize in advance, but I would rather make a statement than just leave you all hanging. You ready? Good. Here's the announcement:

THIS BOOK IS ON HOLD

I know this isn't a great thing, especially with the cliff hanger I left you guys ( mwhahahaha >:) ), but I'm going to spend November working on the sequel. I thought I'd be able to finish Defect before November, but a lot has been going on this year, so I only got so far before I had to start on NaNoWriMo. This brings me to the second part of the announcement:

BUT ONLY FOR A MONTH. 

There should only be 2 or 3 chapters left, and a short prologue. Normally, I'd start posting the first part of the sequel now (I've already got the prologue and first two chapters written), but.... Well.... Spoilers. 

What I can tell you are the following four things:

1. The title is Metamorph

2. It takes place 50 years later

3. The main character is an Evo

4. Violet & Co. will be making appearances--they're still characters, just ones with smaller roles

Also, shout-outs to ZoDionot for offering to translate Defect into French and to mysterygirl7913 for offering to make a cover for Metamorph. These kind of people are the ones that make me ridiculously happy to be a writer. 

So, yeah. I think that's all I've got for you. I hope you aren't too annoyed by this. And if you are, just think: a couple weeks of waiting could mean a whole bunch of the sequel gets posted at once--no waiting. Instantaneous book. 

At any rate, I've put off AP homework long enough now. If I want time to watch Oliver Queen, I'd better get started on defining those terms! *pretends to be excited*
