It was Friday , and exactly two days ago everything happened but this time I was able to manage my emotions more easily than earlier maybe because every time the incident replayed in my mind HIS thought always came like a savior , his presence was so profound that it eclipsed all my worries. Though he didnt called but texted twice which said

had your dinner??? Dont skip your meals and the other one was on other day which said

are you better now???

I wanted to tell him everything but I was not ready to face his reaction ,what if he thought like them? It was the first time someone was looking at me this softly and lovingly , though I dont want to accept it but a part of me is afraid of losing something I never dreamt off . So I decided to let it go for a while ,I will tell him once I could sober up and get enough courage to lose something that I dont want to accept.

With all these thoughts when I reached the café , as usual he was already there and greeted me with a smile . We were about to go inside when I saw an injured baby dog, one of his legs was injured not severely but still it was bleeding and he was not able to walk properly . I looked at arnay

do you want to help him?? –he understood

will you be ok with that??

why am I going to have a problem , go ahead.

There was a chemist shop so I just asked him to buy some bandage , antiseptic and water. He got me everything I asked .it was a cute stray puppy of brown color with black eyes , dont know how it get injured but if not treated it would become septic . It put him on my lap and first washed his injury to remove all the dust and when I started applying antiseptic he started crying but still process had to be completed and then I wrapped the bandage. Arnay was standing a little away that made me remember something and I chuckled

what was that for?? he asked

it seems you are still afraid of dogs.

am not afraid of anyone

dont be a liar , dont you remember when we first met you were chased by a dog and I ..

yes you really appeared strong while chasing him away but just to tell you I was a child back then and that dog was really dangerous , anyone would have got scared , but he is just a puppy

His words made me laugh , he is not accepting but he was really scared that day and since then he never liked dogs

He bought a packet of biscuits and then sat beside me as puppy was still on my lap ,arnay tried to hold him but he refused to leave me, so he took out the biscuit to give it to him but he didnt ate and when I tried to feed him the biscuit , the puppy instantly ate it and looking at him Arnay said

I dont think his intensions are good , its better you stay away from him

And we both laughed our heart out , I let that puppy go and feeding him the whole packet Arnay tried too but every time he failed miserably . After looking at the watch I realized time was over now I had to go home ,otherwise what am going to tell as an excuse

sorry !! I wasted all the time

it was not waste of time because it was used in treating someone he pointed towards the puppy who was still roaming around me

We were walking in silence when s high speed car passed by and as a reflex I pulled him close so that he wont get hurt , my left hand clutched his arm and his body came close to mine ,if he wouldnt had controlled his body then we both would have definitely fallen , he was close to me enough that I could feel the warmth of his breath, our eyes locked but then the trance was broken by the barking puppy and he moved away . My face got heated while I heard something that made me blush harder

I think you are going to give me tough competition Arnay said while holding up the puppy

I think he wants to come with me.

I had always wanted a pet ,but the condition that my parents gave me was ,I had to take care of the pet from dusk to dawn and I was really not sure whether whether I will be able to do it or not ,but this time I wanted to believe myself so I took the puppy in my arms and said

am going to take him with me I said and started walking again

what?? Even today you have one? Now I really think you are either stealing or smuggling them I said with a chuckle

I decided and you agreed that I will call you miracle from now on.

I had completely forgotten about this but Arnay calling me miracle sounded ,I dont know how to tell really different but in a good way.

someone who cares for life and pain of others are not useless

That made me look at the puppy who was in my arms , I didnt said anything and maybe puppy sensed the tension and he started barking to break the ice
