Days passed by,

They become really closer now. And Avni started getting attracted towards him. She started feeling for him and yet he was still confused about his feeling which he feel whenever Avni is with him.

Riya and Neil's wedding dates were fixed. Neil started to feel something from that day it announced. He wants to marry her but on the same didn't want to. He knows he wanted to do because of his family. But he was afraid whether he can give her the happiness she deserve. On the other side, Avni was noticing his changes whenever they work together. She felt something whenever he looks kinda low. She easily caught him and understand his every expression. Avni asked him about it but he used to just change the topic. He used wonder how she finds out his mood, though he smile.

Once a day,

Avni asked him about that and today in a stubborn way which Neil gave up answering her ,on how he is marrying Riya and how he was feeling nowadays. 

"So you are doing this wedding only for your parents? " She asked him while he sighed.

"Yes! " He said looking at her.

"Don't you like her? " She asked him

"It's not like that Avni...... " He said her

"Do you like Me? " She asked him immediately while he looked at her and chuckled.

"Is that even a Question?... Ofc i like you Avni" He hold her hand saying this while she smiled widely looking at him.

Later on

Neil reached his home and parked his car. He closed the door and found Ali.

"Hey Ali... You here ? " He asked with a suprise.

"Yeahh i need to talk... " He said while he nodded

"Where were you? " He asked him with his eyebrow raised.

"In the office " He replied casually with a smile.

"With whom? " He again questioned him,

"With Avni...why?" He asked him giving a confused look.

"Riya was right!... Why weren't you picking her calls? " Ali said

"I was busy!! " He said and took out his phone to see few missed calls from Riya.

"Exactly... From past days You were busy with Avni... That you have totally forget about you fiance...... " Ali said while Neil looked at him.

"I didn't forget anything.. It's... It's just... " He was trying to say something but couldn't able to.

"It's just ..what Neil? " He spat back immediately.

"Nothing Ali... I am not in mood to argue..." He was about to go but what Ali asked make him stop abruptly  

Neil.. Are you sure that nothing is between you two? " Ali asked him raising his eyes brows

"Ali... We are just friends and nothing else.... " He shouted in anger and turned to leave but stop when he heard him again saying something.

"But it's not seeming that you both are just friends! " Ali said while Neil closed his eyes hearing him and left without replying him.

He went to his room and sat on the bed thinking of Ali's words and about Avni.  He was deeply engrossed thinking about his and Avni's bond. He don't know why he is feeling in such a way. He know he already became someone's fiance yet still he couldn't able to feel the same way for Riya. He was totally messed.

The next day

At evening

Neil and Avni met on a beach restaurant . The whole restaurant was empty which made Neil confused thinking why no one is here. They were alone in the beach walking. Neil was looking at Avni whose hair dance in air while she was trying to pin her hair behind. She looked absolutely beautiful on the moon light and her smile was killing. Her smile made him smile. Avni looked at him who was already looking at her. She just saw his hands and hold his hands. Neil became conscious when she hold his hand. He looked at their entangled hand and her again. While her eyes were fixed on him.

She then backed off and went behind him and blind fold him with red cloth making him confused.

"Avni... What are you doing? " He asked confused.

"Shhhh.... Just come with me... " She whispered in his ear.

She hold him again and took him somewhere.

They reached that place. Avni unfolded him while Neil opened his eyes and saw the place. The place was filled with Black and Red candles respectively and was giving a complete dark romantic vibes. He was confused and turned to look back and saw Avni standing there while beside her there was something written with lights. His eyes widen when he able to read it.

He looked at Avni with same shockness while Avni took a red rose from behind. The long stem of the rose was painted with black color.

"I love you Neil... " She didn't hesitated for a bit nor got nervous before confessing in front of him.

Neil was all blank, first all this setup and then her confession. He didn't got ready for any of this shockness. Today morning, he went shopping with Riya to buy their wedding dresses and at evening Avni proposed him.

"Avni.... What's... " He was all messed up couldn't able to understand what's going on.

He knows that Avni know that he is already engaged to someone and gonna marry yet she proposed him?. He was looking at her with a blank face. While she stepped closer to him. Neil was looking at her while Avni was looking at him. They were so close to each other and can literally feel each other's breath.

"I love you Neil... " This time she said so bolder than before.

"You know right... " He was cut off by her.

"I know!!!.... You don't like her... You like me... " She said quickly.

"Avni..Yess i like you...its not what you think..... Within a week I have my wedding.... "

"With Whom you don't like her... " She said raising her brow in a sarcastic way.

"It's not like... I don't like her... It's like I don't feel for her..... I don't feel for you either.... " He said straight to her face while Avni narrowed her eyesbrows.

"We are friends Avni... We are good... "He was again cut off by her.

" We were.... WE. WERE.....but not from Past days where we went spent time together .... You are my Neil... "She hold his hands while Neil was shocked hearing her.

" I already became someone's ..Avni..... I don't love you... I am sorry.... " By saying he left. He didn't even turned once to look at her. Or to be honest he couldn't able to meet her eyes,he don't know why. While Avni looked at him. She crushed the rose while the thorn pierced the skin of her finger making the blood ooze out. She looked down the rose petals which she crushed and put it on the fire making them burn along with the fire buring inside her.
